This place is much better than expected. Everything was very good and high quality, and the service was great.

Started with the fried artichoke hearts. They were wonderful. I had the vegetable streudel and husband had the Hungarian meatballs. Both were served with mixed vegetables and his also had mashed potatoes. Both entrees were hot and delicious. Their desserts looked superb, but we did not save room for that. Service was great. Our server was attentive and always checking on us and yet not overbearing. Host and hostess were equally friendly. TWOTHUMBSUP! We’ll be back!

What a great offering this is for the Thumb! Whitefish and ribs to die for. Great salads and vegetables and fantastic desserts(bread & butter pudding). Nice folks, nice setting… Hooray for them!

First, gvsu sophomore Allie was a great server, the food and atmosphere were quite nice as well. I was not expecting to find such a place in port Austin. My wife and I both had BBQ salmon and it did not disappoint What was disappointing was that we did not leave room for dessert. A mistake we will not commit again. Oh and yes, the cornbread was outstanding.

This place is in the middle of nowhere. Totally adds to its charm. My lady and I split the fried artichoke hearts with garlic aioli to start. Very good. I ordered the forest mushroom chicken with gnocchi for my entrée. The gnocchi was made in house. Wonderful texture and flavor. The chicken was moist, and the sauces it came with were very good. One was a creamy garlic sauce, and the other I believe was a mushroom pan sauce? My girlfriend got some vegetarian phyllo dough wrap thing stuffed with cous cous, feta, Boursin, and a bunch of veggies, with some type of delicious tomato sauce. She is going to try and duplicate it at home she loved it so much. For dessert, we got some banana thing. It was sliced banana, vanilla ice cream, caramel, and phyllo dough stuffed with chocolate ganache. Amazing. What put this place over the top was our server. She was very sweet, and recommended everything we ate, and she nailed it. The price was pretty inexpensive as well. Will be back whenever in town. We actually liked it so much, we talked about if we’d maybe even like to have our wedding here.

Nice atmosphere. Service was really good. Seemed pretty expensive for the area but I knew that before I walked in. I ate at three restaurants in Port Austin and this was definitely the best.

Just came back to our Motel from dinner at Farm restaurant in Pt. Austin, MI. Outstanding. Nicely decorated in farm house style. Food is terrific. Menu changes daily depending on what is fresh. I dined on vegetable lasagna, the best I have ever eaten! Wrapped in phylo dough and a very generous serving, which I devoured. Hubby had the chicken served in a forest mushroom sauce that must have been good, I barely got a taste, He tasted my dish and also loved it. Chef Pam came to our table and I told her how great everything was and I Actually was given a copy of. The recipe, For the lasagna, I can’t wait to try it. Michelle was our waitress and she was great, her suggestions were very knowledgeable. Unlike a few others, we did not find the prices unreasonable. We can’t wait till next time we are up this way again. This place is worth the drive. In our case 3 hours, but we will be back.

Glorified family restruant. With great cuts and produce. Staff was not very knowledgeable about fine dining. Not provided with proper amount of utensils required. Not given plates for appetizer, not asked if we required more crackers to finish bre, did not package our leftovers. Service 5⁄10 The filet was drastically overcooked, may have been a server error, because I hope their chef knows the difference between medium rare and well done. The pecan encrusted bre was seasoned stranglely. I got notes of nutmeg and curry. Food 7⁄10 There were flies in the restruant that disturbed the meal, and we were seated right next to the window in the hot sun, the tables were grouped too close. Clenliness 5⁄10 atmosphere 2⁄10 The plating overall was nice, but the dressing on the salad was slopped on and over poured. Plating 7⁄10

Arrived shortly before opening at 5 pm. Almost no tables available– the staff found a spot and asked if we could finish before the next reservation at 6:30. We were glad to accommodate. Dinner was absolutely top notch — including Jennifer, our server. We had baked Brie and then I had Forest Chicken and bf had beef filet. Must get house dressing — celery seed. Gnocchi with forest chicken and garlic sauce and was delish! Reservations recommended.
