Somewhat tricky to find but great french fries and solid all around burger

I have only been here a couple times, as the hours are a little variable, as is how busy he can get. The first time was extremely good, and the last time was last night… and holy cow. Yes, yes, yes please. SODAMNGOOD! I got the mushroom burger special, which was $ 10. After tasting it I had to go tip him even more. It was the messiest, craziest, best damn burger I have ever eaten. This guy is a food artist.

A burger that has swiftly bested every other burger I have ever eaten in this city. Piquant and thinly sliced pickles. Sauce smokey and flavorful enough to throw some heat in without distracting your palate from some of the juiciest and expertly grilled beef on the planet. All within two perfect pieces of bun. And who could forget the fries, which sit upon a throne of their own. Crispy and salty on the outside, while fluffy on the in. Not to mention the guy who cooks all this stuff has a style of his own, an uncanny charisma that makes me wonder what’s going on behind those aviator lenses.

Stand aside. Might be the best burger at this price point in pdx. yakuza burgers don’t hold a candle to this place. And I used to think that was good. I got an egg over easy on top to make the burger extra slutty. It was juicy. It was messy. It was delicious. Perfect balance of bun, pickle, meat, cheese, bacon and egg. The best thing you can buy with $ 8 anywhere in this tiny town. Wash it down with a gigantic kolsch and your day cannot get better. Ps we got an order of fries which was just gratuitous after the burger — however! Real potatoes, fried golden with a subtle smokey catsup. We ate it all without trouble. We didn’t need it. But. Damn. That was good.

i cannot believe what just happened to me at this place, holy crap! I’m a vegetarian/obsessed with burgers and holy guacamole i am screamin!!! i want to die because i dont live in portland and will never experience this again!!! the bread was wow, the patty itself was crispy on the edges in just the right way, the lettuce was so fresh and so clean and the tomatoes were very red and fresh tasting. there was this amazing sauce on it!!! everything!!! was!!! perfect! this place was good enough to inspire my first Unilocal review… if you love yourself, you will go.

I am a burger snob. Hello, the burgers are cooked medium rare, juicy goodness on a perfectly grilled ciabatta bun with cheddar cheese. Best burger I’ve had in PDX to date. Homemade ketchup with fries which are also stellar. What a hidden gem next to gigantic. Owner is also an entertaining hipster. So awesome the symbiotic relationship with the brewery. Even the lettuce and tomato were Artesnal.

In a land replete with amazing food and incredible food carts, this was an epic disappointment. Some of the worst food I’ve ever had, ever and actually made me sick afterward. The food smelled and tasted horrible. I don’t know how else to say it. In a city with so much good food, I don’t understand how places like this remain open. What’s more, it was hands down some of the worst service I’ve ever received. Rude would be an understatement, but not just to me. I read several inappropriate remarks to other customers in front of me. I will not be returning and shame on Gigantic Brewing for allowing this on their property.

Best cart burger & fries ever! The owner is a great guy, fun to talk to and the chef. The food is very fresh and made with pride(fries are fresh cut!). Love getting a Gigantic IPA to have with it since the brewery is right next door. Really worth the trip.

Don’t eat here unless you want a serving of obnoxious rudeness, a wrong order, and a side of food poisoning. Dude doesn’t give a shit about his customers and it shows. If you go, go at your own risk.

You know what would be cool? If you were actually open during your said hours of operation. I walked down all excited to try them out, only to find them closed. Even though the sign out front said they were open.

I finally got around to printing the voucher, but it turns out he is no longer using that promotion. He still took the vouchers, which was pretty great of him. The second time around we got the food to go. Even though he was running around tending to the dozen other people, he got our food to us promptly and correctly. My only complaint is that the fries(although very delicious) were thrown loosely into the bottom of the bag so the grease leaked through and was pretty gross. I know that’s the reputation of Five Guys, and if Artesanal wants that reputation, too, then by all means go for it. I just wish I had known ahead of time, but hey, maybe I’m just a neat freak.

I have to say the veggie burger was delicious, I loved the fries, there was only one person working but still our order didn’t take too long(we got there right before dinner/after work people all showed up) he even swung by & picked up our dishes when we were done! Very friendly! Plus you can drink a Gigantic brewing beer with your food! I’ll probably be back because I literally live like two blocks from here. The only reason I gave it four stars and not five was because even with our buy«$ 10 get $ 15» offer we still ended up spending $ 17 altogether(NOT including the beers we bought at Gigantic) which I find to be pricey for a simple evening out.

Got my first burger from these guys the other night, the Basico, it was delicious! The bun was great, and the ratio of meat to toppings to bread was spot on. Thanks!

Amazing burgers, and in a symbiotic relationship with an amazing brewery. Try the bacon wrapped jalapeños and, even if you’re a carnivore like me, don’t dismiss the vegan burger. It’s housemade and more than delicious. Large portions, don’t worry about under-ordering.

The ‘Vegetariano’ is actually vegan and made from scratch from white bean and mushroom. Absolutely amazing. The fries are perfectly herbed and spiced(if you like) and make a great complement to Gigantic beer.

Yay! I love these burgers! We got one to share and then had to get a second one for dessert :-P. Not to mention you get to enjoy delicious Gigantic brews while savoring Artesanal burgers! Win win!

Living in Portland means having your favorite food truck, phở spot and brewery/tap room. Luckily, you can get two outta three at Gigantic Brewery in Southeast Portland. The burger is so legit I dare hold it comparable with my other #1s: Hop&Vine on North Killingsworth and Gruner in Southwest(downtown). Great fresh ingredients, great price, great service. I’m all about the Americano, add jalapeños. Wash it down with an IPA next door, heaven indeed is a place on earth. I cannot recommend this spot enough.

This is currently a food truck next to Gigantic. Food is great and fun. Check out their burgers(their meat burgers and homemade vegetarian burgers are both tasty!) They’re new and working out some things( Unilocal specials, some tech matters). Spread the word!

Tried Artesanal for the first time today, while enjoying a delicious Gigantic beer(where the food truck was parked). Had a veggie burger and fries. Superb. Really, a delicious meal. Can’t say a single thing negative about it: fresh, flavorful, hot, fabulous. I will absolutely eat Artesanal again. In fact, I’ll look forward to it next time headed to Gigantic.

Just had the Americano and papas, so good… You could taste the love! This cart is out herr in the Holgate area, Gigantic Brewery lot. Totally worth it tho!
