This is for the cart at PSU but I’m very disappointed. I asked if they had lamb shawarma and she said yes so I ordered a lamb sandwich. I got gyro, not shawarma, which would be fine but their gyro meat is terrible. It tasted like beef, not lamb, and beef makes me ill which this sandwich did. It also tasted like preservatives and looked about the quality of McDonald’s burger meat. Maybe I will give Basha’s another try and stick to vegetarian items, but stay away from the gyro.

This is the cheap and satisfying mediterranean food I’ve been looking for. 5 stars as it’s everything a mediterranean food cart should be – cheap, satisfying, and yummy. They are also super friendly. Pickles on the falafel sandwich is a little confusing, but I’ll take it.

When I used to live at PSU this was a to-go place at least 3 times a week. I never get tired of their menu and everything is tasty! The falafel is my favorite, still trying to find another falafel that yummy a bit closer to where I live now.

The falafel sandwich is so good I have literally never ordered anything else. Every time I come I think to myself«today’s the day, try something different.» Then I remember the falafel sandwich. Seriously, if you want falafel and you’re anywhere near PSU campus, this is the place. It’s only $ 5(totally reasonable for what you get), flavorful, fresh. I’m addicted and you will be too.

I don’t think a restaurant(or cart) needs to make every item on their menu to suite my picky ass. I point that out because IMO the falafel is passable at best, however my boyfriend thinks its great and orders it often. What Basha’s does incredibly well is their lentil soup and warm pita. Its cheep, it’s filling, and don’t let its simplicity fool you… its the best lentil soup I’ve ever had.

I wasn’t impressed by the vegetarian burrito that consisted of falafel, jasmine rice, lettuce, one slice of a tomato, and too small of an amount of sauce that was only on the very bottom of the burrito. The wrap was hard and I didn’t like it. There are better food carts that deserve students’ business.

Falafel burrito style– epic. Just… so amazing. I’ve only been to the food cart at the Park Blocks in PSU but the portions are big and it’s only like 5 or 6 bucks, well worth giving it a try!

I’ve gone to about five or so food card to eat gyro, but hands down this is the best one I’ve had. Meat is never dry/greasy, there is just enough sauce to add flavor, and service is fast and friendly. I stop by few times a month as a treat when I don’t bring my own bento to fill my stomach before running back to study again. Very convinient for students at PSU.

I’ve been going to PSU for a couple years now so I walk by Basha’s nearly every day and it smells amazing every time. I finally gave them a try today and was not disappointed. For 5 bucks, I was very satisfied with their falafel wrap. It was really filling(and messy!) but not too heavy. The falafel itself is so good, and fried to crispy perfection without being greasy. I’ll definitely be coming back!

Hey, don’t get mad if you try anything other than the falafel sandwich and are not satisfied as that’s all that I’ve eaten at this cart. I can’t stand to try anything else because the falafel is that good! Pick up a few extra napkins for your mitts because they’re messy, but these falafels are great, and, unlike others that have reviewed them, it’s a decent sized sandwich for the six bucks. Check ‘em out.

Okay, my first favorite thing about this is that it’s literally right outside my front door. Proximity is good! There was no way those smells were going to keep wafting through my window without a visit. The feta salad was tasty — and a good-sized salad for the money. Lots of tart feta cheese, which I love. Falafel was super tasty and crispy on the outside. Looking forward to many more delicious, affordable lunches from this food cart!

I love to go to this food cart because they have a fabulous lunch special: vegan lentil soup with pita bread for $ 3.50. The soup is yummy! And for like six bucks you can get the soup plus a salad.

Phenomenally delicious! What a deal! I crave this weekly. Pretty darn decent deal for the quality at $ 5 for a sandwich. It’ll get all over ya if you’re not careful, they don’t hold back on the sauce, baby! I frequently indulge with the gyro with lamb. Yum CITY.

When I think of cheap great food, Basha’s at PSU comes to mind. You cannot beat the kafta sandwich for $ 5.00 or the plate specials for $ 8.50, which is enuff for lunch –and– dinner. The flavorful sauce on the kafta has a hint of lemon juice, and blends perfectly with the kafta mixture. Service is quick, friendly, and the food is fresh. Wholesome ingredients, and aromatic spices makes their food worthy. Try also the lentil soup + hummus/pita. You won’t be disappointed.

$ 3.50 for lentil soup and pita bread has been my life saver for more than one grueling day in clinic at PSU. Also, it encourages me to leave the building and get fresh air. yes.

good falafel although it can be inconsistent. best reason to come here: the vegan lentil soup is only $ 3.50 for a good bowl-sized amount with hot pita bread. That is hard deal to beat for a delicious, home-made, nutritious and filling lunch.

I got the veggie plate. Best falafel I think I’ve ever had, and I’ve had lots of falafel. But everything else was soggy and/or mediocre. Good thing they have a falafel sandwich…

Basha’s has been at the PSU park blocks for a long time, offering a quick(I’m talking lightning) falafel to all the students buzzing by for $ 5.00. Today I noticed they may be skimping on their serving size, but it’s still a decent portion. I always get the falafel«burrito style» which we nickname«Big Mac Falafel.» It comes with lettuce, pickles, basmati rice and tahini sauce and is $ 6. They also have a hummus platter and chicken shawarma — the usual. Their baklava sucks.

I’m scarfing down my falafel sandwich as we speak. Or as I inundate you with new information. The sandwich is quite tasty — the falafel has a good flavor without being overly crispy/oily/fried. Everything I’ve had from this cart is indeed quite tasty, and it IS fast. But $ 6 for a falafel sandwich with hummus? For what it is, I think they should charge less. SUPER convenient to my office(and all of PSU) and tasty, though. One of the few spots on/near campus with multiple vegan options. I’m short on wit for this one, as I’m long on hunger and very distracted by the tasty sandwich sitting in front of me. *It should be noted that I bumped this from three to four stars in the past two minutes. The flavor combination is making me feel a lot more generous. Somehow I’m more benevolent when my stomach isn’t eating itself!
