The pictures looked amazing, and the burgers people were eating looked great too. Cashier says: «…But the fine print…» Honestly, I thought those days were over. Burger: looked great, fresh bread… BUT drenched in ketchup… Nasty!

The burger quality is great and the only thing keeping them from 5 stars is they don’t have fresh jalapeños for their burgers, which is a must for any legit burger place. Their fries are fantastic and I can’t think of a place that has better fries.

Honestly the burgers are pretty damn good. However, the price is high. My husband and I rarely go here anymore. Not because of the food or service, but because of the price. It usually ends up costing us quite a bit… and well, it’s a burger joint.

Great food, but they close earlier than posted hours… pretty irritating when you make a point of getting there 15 minutes before closing and the staff has already closed the place.

I am giving this pace three stars but it is close to getting two. The food is fine. The location is great for me. Service is ok. The space is ok, I mean it is clean just feels generic, actually everything seem generic, That is a problem is because their prices are on par with much better places. The food is fresh and that is going for them. Besides burgers they have fish and chips, I think there was a small salad. Service was quick partly because they don’t seem to busy. The mall has a large lot so parking is easy also. In all its good but I would rather go elsewhere for better or the same for cheaper.

2.5 stars, 3. Still trying to give this place a chance. The burgers just ain’t that good. And these Ocean City, Mary-land or whatever fries? Meh. Sorry about Albertson’s closing up next door. It will be tougher without that foot traffic.

Burgers are good. Fries are great. But the photo about the coke machine is misleading. They do NOT have the 109+ flavored sodas. Honestly. They make a good burger but for the price I think there are better out there

Kinda bland burgers. Great buns. We till they smash them. Overpriced for what you get

What’s not to love? First — the fries. They are not«greasy», are fresh-cut, and delish. If you like Five Guys fries, you’ll like these. My bride had the Hawaiian burger and while not huge, looked very tasty. I think the bun can make or break an otherwise great burger, and Boardwalk gets it right unlike so many other places — including Five Guys, which are notorious for falling apart. I had the fish and chips and found it delightful. The service staff were pleasant and accommodating. No one flipped us off even though we walked in at end of shift as a previous poster reported. Overall a great experience and we plan to go back. The best thing about Boardwalk is that they offer fish and chips as an alternative to hamburgers and dogs.

Just so you don’t drive around inside this strip mall like I did, when you pull into the strip mall facing Albertson’s, it’s on the LEFT side of Albertson’s, next to some nail place. It’s a small place, so keep your eyes open :) Ok, so food first: Hawaiian burger — I liked that whole wheat bun is an option; my BF liked that the burger was big, but then for $ 7(or was it 8? I can’t remember), I thought it’s appropriate. I liked the pineapples slices in it. The burger itself tasted good, but do note that burgers do not come with fries. Fish and chips — 2 decent size fish fillet hand-battered and deep fried while we waited was surprisingly decent. Fries, however, was VERY greasy and soggy(we ordered it as to-go, but I started eating fries as we were walking back to the car, so it’s not like they were sitting in the bag being steamed). Service: there was only 1 cashier gal and a brand new employee that the cashier was training. She messed up our order(she gave us our bags and I opened each bag just because I didn’t trust her — surely enough, she gave us someone else’s order with grilled cheese!!!) which added about 5min to our waiting, but then this woman came up to the counter and demanded where her order was as she waited 15min — we figured the order the cashier tried to give us probably was that woman’s. Overall, it was disappointing — when I see«fries» in the business name, I fully expect the fries to kick ass. I definitely won’t be back — there are too many REAL restaurants(yes even on the west side) where I can pay the same price and get good burgers and non greasy, non soggy ass fries.

Arrived at Cedar Hills location about 7:30 on a Saturday night and the place was deserted. The location is a bit out of the way — we had a hard time finding it in the strip mall. Husband had walked by the Jantzen Beach location and saw they had fish and chips and wanted to try it. When the time came we were near cedar hills and did that one instead. Fish and chips were really good. We got it to-go and I think it suffered a bit on the trip home — next time I would plan to eat in. Three huge pieces of fish, hand battered — I watched the line cook dip them! The fish itself was a lovely thick and flaky white fish, perfect to hold up to a generous coating of batter. Fried to a light golden tan and not at all greasy. The best batter fried fish I’ve had in a while. Now, the fries. There were plenty of them, I couldn’t eat them all. They were thinner than five guys, showing way more skin and less salty. Also, seemed a bit soggier, but that may have been because they were packed under the fish in the same box. Opinions in our house were divided, I liked them; others not as much. Didn’t try the burger. Teen son got a double Hawaiian, gave it 4 stars. Whole wheat bun was an option, nice. His first comment was — this thing is HUGE! He is a regular double burger eater, and even he was surprised by the size of it. So, lots of food. Priced comparable to Five Guys and cheaper than Burgerville. We just ate the leftover pieces of fish for lunch, and they reheated in a skillet back to nice and crispy. Overall, very pleased.

I think 3.5 stars is about right for this place. The burger and fries was simply OK. A lot of the reviews are saying it’s too expensive. It’s in between a restaurant and fast food. Plan on $ 10.00 for a burger, fries, and a drink. This is my second time here. It was better this time, but I won’t be back. To many other choices close by.

It was okay. Fries seemed fresh cut style, but they were soggy or too burnt/crispy. I had all-beef hot dog which was good. The bun was a little fancier and slightly toasted. However, they add the condiments for you. Terrible idea! I want to add the toppings and decide how much I want to add. It was slopped on there and messy.

Nothing wrong with Boardwalk. The chipotle double is a great burger, and the fries are MUCH better than 5 guys. The price is not cheap for a burger joint. That said McDonald’s or any other fast food burger does not compare.

The food was okay. Just barely above Burgerville. Decent bleu cheese crumbles on the burger which was nice. But the fries were super greasy and soggy.

Pretty good burger, although $ 7.99 seems a bit steep for the specialty doubles. It filled me up for the most part, but I just have a monster appetite. Good thing my boss got fries! Either way, they got the burgers done quickly and seem like a hardworking Hispanic group that works here. Not a bad place for lunch.

Happy to have a burger joint close by, but not overly thrilled with the taste or quality. Think of Boardwalk as a Five Guys… without all the topping choices. The burgers are so-so. I enjoyed that they are seasoned well. Service is fairly quick. Fries are actually pretty tasty. You get a lot in your order and they are nice and crispy. The price for a meal… hardly worth it. $ 10 for a burger and fries. I’d much rather pay around the same price and get one at an actual restaurant. They do have several other meal choices… chicken strips, veggie burgers, hot dogs… all seemingly just so-so. 1 star for an OK burger and decent fries. 1 star for cleanliness and location 1 star for quick service and nice staff I might come here again if I’m seriously craving a burger and too lazy to go far… but really… there’s plenty of other options and just am not totally thrilled with this place. They have a good looking Happy Hour deal for a burger and fries… but yeah… of course it’s during a time I’m at work and no where near this place. MEH. That is all.

I enjoyed the burgers from Boardwalk. They’re not as great as Five Guys or Rachel’s but still very good and certainly less greasy. The patty was appropriately tasty and the toppings were simple: choose what you want. I’m a fan of the jalapenos. The small fries are largely portioned. The chocolate milkshake was near perfect for those random milkshake cravings. What fascinated me the most was the soda machine! It’s one of those futuristic machines with a touchscreen and a gazillion flavor options. Come to Boardwalk, ignore the weird location, order a burger, and have fun with the soda machine.
