OK。I like this place. They deliver to wide area in the Portland Metro area, they are fast with deliveries, and they are extremely kind. The eggrolls are a bit strange to me in appearance. I’m not sure how the wrapper is done, but the filling is perfect and well seasoned. I will use them again, and hope in the future, the quality will continue to improve. Until, they will do nicely.

? As many others have said: solid, not so fancy Chinese take-out/delivery. We’ve ordered delivery twice, and the food has been good-quality and tasty. Delivery is free and fast and the folks are friendly. Last order was crispy, spicey General Tsao’s chicken, flavorful and fresh green beans with beef, freshly fried crab puffs, and chop suey noodles. I thought the noodles were a bit bland, but they had nicely cooked veggies and my partner really liked them. We’ll keep ordering. Not sure what’s up w/the other spoiled/obnoxious reviews.

Some of the food was a little too greasy for my tastes(potstickers), but the food was good otherwise. I’d order from them again.

How can food be so bad? Egg Flower soup tasted like Campbell soup broth. Pot Stickers wrapper still doughy. Egg Rolls gross. I tried taking the stuffing out, couldn’t eat it even with soy sauce. Spring rolls sooo greasy. We did not, could not, eat any of this food. Total wasted 21.25 plus tip. Oh I did get free delivery. Used the EAT24 app. very slick.

Weird that this place gets bad reviews, it is medium grade Chinese food at a good price with free delivery. I have never had bad food here. I mean it’s nothing fancy but what do you expect for giant combo plates for 6 – 10 dollars? I’ve been eating here for years and I will continue to for years.

AWFUL — THAT’S THEONLYWORDNEEDED. Sauces tasted like flour and corn syrup on almost every dish. The broccoli was funky. I’ll say it again AWFUL… microwaved freezer chinese would of been better.

I like this place because everyone get their own little hot pot and it’s all you can eat. It’s not the best hot pot out there but the service is nice. This place is never pack. It seems like more people order take out here. Definitely a hole in the wall kind of place.

I’m surprised at the poor reviews.(OK, as I have typed this review, I think I have figured out the bad review causes. Read to the end!) I would have given 4 stars but I upped it one more to 5 to balance some of these others. I’ve lived in the neighborhood for over 2 years. Sorry I never ate here before! I ordered delivery tonight using the Unilocal app. I was expecting normal to lousy food but, hey, I was STARVING and I’m a bachelor so not terribly picky. I’ve also been a server at 4 different 5-Star hotels but I think that has made me more tolerant since I’ve always been«eating on the run». Anyway, the order site was frustrating because I couldn’t confirm my order. And I didn’t read the reviews on the order site(which is not Unilocal but actually or something). A lot of the reviews said that after people ordered, the food took forever because the restaurants never checked the site/app to see if any orders were coming in! Ugh. So, here I am sitting, calling the restaurant, getting no answer EVER, trying to find out if my order got through or not. But I figured, the restaurant is closing in 15 minutes anyway, so if I don’t get my food soon I’ll figure they never got the order. And have learned my lesson. Placed the order at 8:44pm, one minute before the cut off. The food showed up, hot and well packaged about 9:15PM. Maybe earlier than that even –I wasn’t paying attention I have to say– because I didn’t think it was even going to come! I ordered the eggrolls, hot and sour soup for one, vegetable chow mein and vegetable egg foo yung. The eggrolls were amazing. I was really surprised. They tasted fresh as could be. And the wrapping was unusually tasty. The hot and sour soup was huge. Like an order for 2 – 3 people. Maybe they gave me extra since they were closing? And I’m not sure the region of cooking but the soup was different than any hot and sour I’ve ever had. Lots of diced veggies. Maybe jicama or turnips or water chestnuts? And lots of other stuff. Spicy. It was very, very good. I was also surprised at how good the chow mein was. The vegetables were fresh and crunchy and varied. I was happy to see there weren’t any noodles in it. I ordered chow mein the other day from another nearby restaurant, Shangdong’s, and there were noodles in it. THEREWERE fried chow mein noodles in a side bag. These are what one reviewer called«fat crunchy fried noodles». **roll eyes** Lastly, the egg foo yong was a little bland and thicker cakes than I’m used to. The batter must have been poured into poached egg forms or hamburger forms on the griddle. Because they were so perfectly shaped. The gravy was good but a little too thick for me. HOWEVER I mixed the gravy with the leftover chow mein and it’s really, really, really good. I’ll probably get up in the middle of the night and finish it. Ha ha. But really. Ok, so how come I loved the food and others hated it of thought it was«bland» or all the dishes«tasted the same»? I’m going to say I think it the cook/family/manager or WHOEVER comes from a different region or province of China that most of us are used to. It’s like a visitor from another country coming to New Hampshire and thinking the pork is bland there because their last trip they had Texas BBQ. One thing I did not like was that the fortune cookies were not wrapped but just thrown loose in the condiment bag. Gross. I loved the ease of the order. Loved the food. I’ll order again. Soon.

Delivery very fast however The quality of the food and the taste is absolutely awful. I wanted to maybe give them the benefit of the doubt but I agree with most others that rated, this food is horrible! Not worth my money-very disappointed

No hipster attitude here. Chin’s serves atrociously BADFOOD! Even crappy chinese joints usually do edible egg foo young. Chin’s omits the eggs it appears… it looks & tastes like some sort of mush cooked tepidly. Brown sauce is quite easy to make with decent soy sauce and brown sugar… they douse it in bland paste of corn starch. This simple dish did not have any sort of vegetable matter in it. Bleech! Oh. I should mention they are very friendly… just incompetent.

sufficient quality, expected(abundant) quantity… grateful the ‘spicy’ items actually WERE! the veggies were fresh and big cut, but the beef was oddly over-tenderized to the point of creeping me out somewhat. i bet the pot stickers are really good on site, but by the time they made it out to me they were only okay. you certainly get your money’s worth though. also, the delivery driver was exceptionally nice!

most disgusting Chinese food I have ever had in my life. Im from the south, im not a Chinese food snob,. i don’t have a refined pallet, i just wanted that good ol’ MSG. standard ass Chinese food. got Egg Rolls — Pork Rice — Garlic Chicken — Hot & Sour Soup. Pork Rice — just tasted weird like chemicals. Garlic Chicken — chicken also tasted so weird,. inedible Hot & Sour Soup — soooo much undercooked celery you could barely taste anything else. Egg Rolls were edible but still moons below in quality than anything ive ever tasted before. Never Forget. Never Again.

Do not eat here! I’ve gone here off and on for years… mostly for the pot stickers, but recently I got the chicken wings(on a whim) and they were BLOODY… not just pink, but bleeding when u opened them up. Totally gross and I want nothing to do with any restaurant that serves raw chicken like this.

Sorry folks, but I ate here last night and it was actually good! Ok, now, let’s qualify this. If you’re looking for hipster/foodie/gourmet Chinese food, this is not it. But If you are happy with decently tasty Chinese food that is filling, you will be happy with Chin’s. I have to admit, I was dreading it. My boyfriend used to go here with his ex and said he was getting dinner for us. I started reading Unilocal and was scared by all the bad reviews, but decided to have an open mind. Here’s what you want to do: Don’t get delivery, he has done that before and it takes a really long time. Don’t eat in the restaurant, it is run down and depressing. What you want to do is to go in and order take out. We went in, ordered, grabbed some free hot tea and had a big bag of piping hot food in about ten minutes or so. We got orders of the General Tso’s chicken, the sesame beef and the fried rice. It was very tasty! The General’s and the sesame beef had identical looking sauces, but they did taste different. The meat was good quality, not fatty, no dark meat chicken, and the breading was thin and crispy, not heavy or mushy. The fried rice was full of huge chunks of white meat chicken, shrimp and other goodies. I was pleasantly surprised. If you’re looking for star quality Chinese, go to Shan Dong. But if pleasantly flavorful, take out quality will do, then you will be satisfied by Chin’s.

Felt like an egg roll so I stopped in here… Family hangs around, definite hygiene check, service is ok– waitress/owner was a little pushy. Food was ok, egg rolls were huge! But not really tasty… I’ve had better…

You know what is amazing about this place? I wish I could say it was the food. If someone says let’s eat Chinese I would have no qualms about getting it. Now if someone were to say let’s order Chinese via the Unilocal app and then have it delivered I would think I was in the future! This is freaking amazing. I don’t know why I love it so much but I do.

This is the epitome of a classic Chinese take out place. Questionable hygiene, family members hanging out, slot machines in the back, MSG filled food and cheap prices. There was nobody else here on a Friday night(bad sign) and we had the whole place to ourselves. I ordered a D1 which is Kung Pao chicken, pork fried rice and a spring roll. The food came out fast, the portions were large and I dug right in. I will admit that the food is very tasty, though it’s probably the work of all the MSG. It’s nothing to write home about, but it will get the job done. Three stars at most. My biggest complaint is that they were blaring the news while we were eating and it was definitely very distracting. It was MSNBC and while it’s not as bad as Fox News it was still terrible. There is nothing worse than trying to enjoy a meal while Rachel Maddow is spewing more garbage than this restaurant does all week. I don’t want to start a political argument on here; I just prefer to eat my food with nice music playing in the background. Besides that, this place is good for take-out but not for dining in. I may give it another shot when I am craving some cheap Chinese food.
