Jackie and her girls are wonderful. I’ve had a few unfortunate experiences at other locations but I’ve never had a problem at this store and even though it’s out of my way (the Raleigh Hills location is a half mile from my house) I will be coming all the way to Burnside to make my purchases from now on. I’m just one customer, but I’ve never felt like my business didn’t matter with Jackie and her crew. THANKS LADIES!!!

Omfg did someone just give negative stars for this store not being open to the public? It’s a «professional only store». It says it on the door.
Anyway, planning to stop by soon and from what I understand it is a place for professionals to shop and purchase their products that most clients don’t want to pay for cuz apparently our cost is free. Ignorance is bliss I guess.
Any time I have ever shopped at CosmoProf (and I have shopped at CosmoProf’s across the United States) they have been incredibly helpful and knowledgeable about their lines. They have excellent customer service skills and display inordinate amounts of patience.
Sally’s (from what I understand) is a sister company to them so the ignorant reviewer who obviously didn’t know how this works can just as easily drive to a Sally’s, pay for the discount card (or not, it isn’t required) and ask the professionals there to recommend products because although they have different names, many come from the same company bit have a different (cheaper) label but it’s pretty much the same product. (Go into CosmoProf, use your smart phone and take a picture of the ingredients if you must. Or save time and asked a trained professional working there for help. But with this kind of ignorance I kinda hope that this brat makes the mistake of applying bleach on top of a henna dye containing metallic salts.

Great selection, decent prices. We get our hair wash and dye here. It’s close, convenient, and there are plenty of options. My favorite is the gallon tubs of hair wash… for home use. Haha!

I use to order through a cosmo prof in the past and never had any issues. They are convenient and carry the most popular product lines.
However, since moving up to Portland I am sadly disappointed about the «In-​Store» experience. I have no idea why, but the women here are so SNOOTY. I have my license, I spend lots of money here, I’m polite, I don’t understand why they have to be so rude. Every damn time! The two older women who work there (who I’m sure are in management position) are educated about every product, can answer all my questions just fine, all while having the worst attitude.
No, I dont expect people to smile all the time or be overly excited at work. I just expect friendlier service at a place I frequently have to shop.

I love love love this place, to me they are more relevant and stock more of the products I am looking for than any other (non retail) beauty supply house. You do have to either be in the business or know someone who is (luckily I do).
I save hundreds of dollars by purchasing all my beauty products here, from nail polish to shampoo and conditioner. See if your Hairdresser will take you along, your price is about half of retail.

I shop here biweekly for my color and other products. Everyone who works here is very nice and helpful. They always ask me if I found what I was looking for, and if I didn’t, they take the time to help me. I really appreciate that level of customer service. Jackie, who I think is the manager, ordered me a special piece of equipment once, and had it shipped to my salon. The whole process was very easy. If you are a salon professional, I definitely recommend this Cosmoprof. Thanks, ladies!

This used to be a different beauty supply store that may or may not have been open to the public. Imagine my surprise when I pulled up only to find that it had a new name and was not open to the people like me (no, not people like me as in loud and obnoxious, people like me that DON’T have a hair stylists license).
BUT, I went in to ask if they carried a very specific product (what? I don’t just roll out of bed with such gorgeous hair — it takes work people!) the store owner was kind enough to help me locate another store that had the product AND was open to the non-​license holding public.
So, three stars for insanely amazing customer service and minus two for not letting me shop there.
