Hey, I wear glasses. Every day, and now I’m older and they’re progressives, which is where it starts to get spendy. For years I went to a great independent DO downtown, and after 20 years, I needed a change (Dr. G — it was me, not you). I’ve had prescriptions filled all over town though, and when I wanted to replace my Lafont frames, I came to FFV — I’d heard good things, and they had the frames I wanted. What knocked my socks off (fill in your equivalent) was the kindness, thoroughness, and professionalism of the staff: took time, great sense of humor, made sure I was getting exactly what I wanted. Wow. I’ll be back, and you should too!

I’ve been bringing my three children here for 2 years now and continue to be very happy with both the office staff and Dr. Z.
My youngest, who’s 8 now, has a significant vision impairment and also has a lot of general anxiety, making doctor appointments of any kind challenging. Dr. Z is always mind-​blowingly patient and accepting, going slow and explaining things in an age appropriate way. I can’t say how much his approach and knowledge is appreciated!
Plus…all the kids can see and look great in their glasses. :)

My family has come here for two years, and I’m going to switch. I’m torn because I really like Dr. Z: I find him to be very engaging, knowledgable, and always available to explain things in detail. But I can’t deal with his office staff anymore. I called today, at 1:52 pm to check the date on a prescription, and was told it’s good ’til Nov. 2015 — cool. Then I asked if we could come in anytime to browse the glasses, and was told, yes, we don’t need an appointment for that. Still cool. So, we go there at 2:29, a mere 37 minutes later, and they say they closed at 2:00 and sent us home. I didn’t say I was coming in today, but surely that could and should have been mentioned during the phone call, right? Something like, «You can come in anytime to browse the glasses styles, but we’re closing in eight minutes today, three hours earlier than usual.» It just seems like they don’t want to be there, except for the doc.

I’ve been here at 4 – 5 times and I’ve always gotten prompt service. Very friendly, personable staff. I’ve gone here for 2 years. I’ll keep coming back.
