I love this place. The décor here kinda looks like a night club. Haha. But the sushi is good and prices are not too bad either. I usually go on their happy hour Thursday. They have all colored plates for 1.85 only. What a steal! The sushi chefs are really nice and they make sure you come for what you want. I would recommend this place to friends and families.

Average sushi, I was not impressed by any of their rolls. Large menu, however no outstanding roll that would make me want to return.

The service and atmosphere of this place is always really great. The only problem is the food… This is your standard beltway sushi joint. Unless you are ordering fresh, the sushi is mediocre at best. Everyone is raving about the ‘Timmy Sauce’ but honestly it’s just a spicy mayo. Nothing I haven’t tried before at other sushi restaurants. Also, it’s not much cheaper than any other sushi in the area, it only seems like it because there is always some sort of special that they are promoting I.e. Happy hour, daily specials, etc. the problem is that the sushi that is on special is super small and is either filled with some sort of cheap white fish, cream cheese, fried vegetable, ‘Timmy sauce,’ or a combination of the aforementioned. You’re not really saving any money and chances are the food will be an Americanized bastardization of sushi. Wish I could like this place because it is so close, but the quality of the sushi needs some serious work.

Service was fine but the sushi was mediocre. Too much reliance on mayonnaise and not enough on good fresh ingredients. This was all off the conveyor. They may do better with ordering off the menu.

A cautious 5 star review. Belt and by the order sushi. Full bar available. Service was attentive and friendly. Inside was attractive but there was a strong smell of cleaner. I tried several of my stand-by plates that I have at any belt style sushi, and got adventurous with a few that just looked like they wanted my to try them. Plates pricing starts at $ 1 and goes up to $ 4, with the average in the $ 2 range for much of what my date liked. I was more adventurous and tried a the $ 3 plates but our average was still just a sliver of salmon over $ 2 per plate. But, we got in before 2 pm for Happy-hour so everything was $ 1.85 /plate. Cool. My date likes the House roll. It had quite a bit of tuna and crab compared to other sushi places which are mostly rice. My Philadelphia roll was a little disappointing, not fresh looking and flavorful as I have had. The(fake) crab salad was nicely creamy and flavorful. Of the three $ 3 plates of fancier morsels I tried, only the salmon sashimi would I recommend. If I did not consider my date’s opinion I would give them a 4 star, room for some improvement. But as she felt her food was a notch better than other sushi places, the balance is to go ahead and give a, «cautious» 5 stars. I look forward to returning to try again.

The sushi is good enough, but the one thing I can’t understand is why is it as loud as a fucking night club in here?! I just can’t fathom why you would have incredibly loud dub step playing in a sushi train restaurant in the middle of the day. Why?! Why is it so damn loud?! I feel like I’m in Abercombie and Fitch. Music that loud really takes away from the experience; I just wanted some sushi and a good conversation with my boyfriend but we couldn’t even hear each other over the booming bass and techno squeals. Next time I have a hankering for sushi I am definitely going to chose somewhere not so oppressively loud.

Some of the best track sushi I’ve had. The mushrooms stuffed with crab were lovely. Everything was fresh, service was friendly.

I’ve eaten here twice and loved it both times. The fish is fresh and the conveyor never ends. Check their website for happy hour and other specials. There’s a bar upstairs and music is club like. A little loud for me but tolerable. Great place.

Came back since we had some family in town who wanted to try a revolving sushi place. This time ordered off the menu, got the Vegas roll, and it was delicious. We also came during lunch hour rush, and things were a bit fresher so that was an improvement. Still isn’t the best sushi ever, and too many fake sushi rolls in my opinion, but overall not bad. And service was good again, so bonus star.

Reading the reviews prior to going, I really wish I had the same experience as everyone else. Ordered some type of shrimp tempura roll with the Timmy sauce on the side, and the tempura combo. It was okay, I think the Timmy sauce gave it more oomph. The staff was friendly and they were quick with my order. The only reason why I’m giving two stars is because I got sick the next day and I’m thinking I got some bad fish«/Will not be coming here again.

Good selection, location and prices. The atmosphere was cool. Made you feel like you were in some sort of trendy sushi club. I was also surprised at the amount of people here, being its on se 82nd.

Went with a few friends for whom this is a regular stop. We got a couple of things off the conveyor but mostly ordered sashimi. The Saba, hamachi, salmon skin hand roll were all tasty. No off flavors, but neither was there the fresh sparkle of ocean salinity that characterizes really stellar sushi. Fish was also a touch warmer than I like my sashimi. Reasonable, convenient, friendly service. It’s a good neighborhood joint near some friends. 90 bucks for 3 adults, a teenager and a 4 year old. I’m giving them 3.5 stars but rounding down just because it’s not a 4 star sushi place. But I’d feel comfortable returning.

I’ve ordered out twice from here. Good services and sushi each time. The shrimp cucumber salad is a bit of a disappointment, there was only 2 small thin shrimp in there with a bit of cucumber. I could have made that in less than 2 mins with stuff I had in the fridge. But, that was my choice ordering it. I thought they’d put some sort of sauce in there like other sushi places. Everything else is good.

This is only for the sushi train. We went in at 9pm on a Saturday and they admitted there’d be less selection, but we were welcome to order as needed from the chefs. The chefs were really nice and asked us a number of times if they could help us with anything as we eyed the train for the perfect plate. I agree on some of the«cop out» rolls — I didn’t look very carefully and picked up a canned tuna roll, «tuna salad roll», and was thoroughly upset. Quality was decent, the best roll we had was a more expensive plate at $ 4.00 that was tempura fried, fresh, and slathered in real crab and spicy mayo. A lot of their train rolls were slathered in some variant of spicy mayo. It wasn’t the best sushi I’ve ever had and it’s been months, maybe 1 – 2 years, since I’ve done a train joint. It was decent. I’ll probably only go again for happy hour. Otherwise, I’ll just ride the train elsewhere.

I know this is the burning question on everyone’s mind, so here it is: I like the atmosphere and the sushi better here than at O’Sushi. This is our go-to spot for sushi in the hood. Especially because on Mondays and Tuesdays all plates are 30% off. This is not the most mind-blowing sushi you’ll ever have, but it beats a lot of other track sushi, and the price is certainly right. If you don’t love what you see on the track, don’t be afraid to order off the menu and have your sushi made fresh for you.
It always feels like a bit of a party when we go here, and the servers seem to be having a good time. I am also oddly into the pop music soundtrack. If you have a group of four or more you can get a table upstairs in the bar area and order from the menu – and then it’s really a party. A Tuesday-night pop-music track-sushi kinda party.

Decent selection and value, but I would only go during their happy hour. The restaurant is nice as a whole with its appearance and cleanliness. Staff seems really personable too. It is super cold inside. Their happy hour on thurs is nice. 1.85 any plate. O’sushi down the street has larger portions and better sushi, but this place is a decent option.

Best sushi in town! Hands down! We reserved the balcony for our friend’s birthday. The wait staff was fast and friendly and kept up with our food and drink orders. The yellow fin melted in our mouths. The creamy scallops were so fresh! We love this place. The guys making the sushi are so much fun and love to create the works of art.

Did not like this place at all. 1 star would be too harsh since it wasn’t horrible and the service wasn’t bad. There are definitely much better sushi options out there. The sushi looked weird and did not taste very good. Did not look fresh to me either. Looking at other people’s reviews maybe I came on a bad day for them? Regardless though I came here with my parents and none of us felt that the food was even appetizing. We had a couple dishes each, then went over to Wingstop a couple shops away.
