I had my wisdom teeth removed by Dr. Dierks and the quality of care I received was excellent.
My rating is only three stars because the administrative side of the services here is really lacking. Calls don’t get returned, getting simple questions answered becomes a complicated task. I also have yet to receive final billing for the procedure that was done in June 2015. Every time I get mail from them about my bill it says something different, and when I call the information I get is different again. I have already paid a sum of money, but still have no idea if I will have to pay more or not, which has been ongoing stress for me.

I own a business so I rarely complain about other businesses because I know running a business is not easy.
One of my cousins, who is the RN, highly recommended Dr. Bell as our son’s surgeon. Dawn, the medical records specialist at Head & Neck, however is not very attentive.
It has been 10 days now and still I have not heard from Dawn. I personally came into the office and filled out a medical release form and left a note for her asking if I could come back to the office to pick up if that will help speed things up for our son operation. I needed that medical record to be sent away to the independent review board for final approval for the procedure.
I called and left Dawn at least four voice mail messages since I did not hear from her regarding my note. I had our son emailed her twice. It has been 10 days as of today and I have not receive a letter in the mail, a phone call from her, and our son has not receive a reply via email. I am not happy and at this pint feel very disappointed.
I still believe that Dr. Bell is a great surgeon. I am just affraid to refer someone else to this medical clinic because of poor customer service from unattentive office personel.

Do not go to this clinic!!! Unless you are willing to be overbilled and fight with Teresa the billing clerk to get your money back. She is extremely rude and defensive. This is the second time i have had to deal with billing issues at this clinic. The last time I had to have the insurance company act as a moderator. Who would have guessed that an insurance company would be the «good guys?» Also, when I went in for my consultation I had to wait 1 hour for the doctor. I was told he was very backed up. On the plus side Dr. Dierks did a great job, had a great bedside manner which is why I decided to go back. But I have to say even that isn’t worth it. There are plenty of doctors out there, find one that has a competent staff.

Such a lot of wasting time. Both the initial eval & now the actual extraction are a lot of waiting around to be seen-​and we are the first patients of the day. Proof they don’t value your time or your business.

This organization is horrible for patients. They know they are the only game in town for head and neck cancer patients. Scheduling is the worst part — I’ve had 3 appointments and every one has been changed. Their scheduler, Kristin (sp?) is uncaring and dishonest about it. I was called once, and she began her next call by saying ‘i’ve tried to contact you multiple times.’ I’ve called the office manager Carmel who was not available both times I tried to complain. I didn’t get a reply the first time and still unsure if she’ll call me back this time.
2 hour wait on my last appointment, and 1.5 hours the time before that. Located way out in the NW, its a horrible building to enter — one dinky elevator to get everyone up and down to the 3^rd floor. I must admit Dr. Dierks is a phenom but you don’t get to see him, just his interns and other doctors as he grows his business. I was looked at by Dr. Bui, a decent guy then showed off to another intern while I was there like a training tool. I cancelled my latest appointment in utter frustration and have no where else to go at this time … a perfect example of the business aspect of medicine. NOT patient oriented at all, just feed those doctors.
Reading all the other reviews, clearly I’m not just a singularly upset person — this is a consistently bad facility and if you can avoid it in any way I recommend you do so at any cost.
I put this review up recently but somehow H & N found a way to hide it. Figures.
New info — called Carmel, the office manager, but even tho her voicemail says she’ll get back to you in a day — for the 3^rd time, I was never called.
Recently I got a bill for 3.50. I had no balance, but a ‘process fee’. I paid it only to make it go away not because it was proper but dealing with this office is a sickening experience.
I just received a letter in the mail stating they are withdrawing they’re services. I suspect that’s one way to try and remove patients that complain.
I also want to add that I submitted a complaint to the BBB. They told me over the phone that this office has a number of complaints against it. Imagine that.
Please don’t use this organization. Its so badly run from the top down.

my experience. Un-​necessary CT of face. This could have been avoided if they would have simply looked at old surgical records. X-​ray had shown unusual triangular bony structure above and between front teeth. They recomended I get a CT. Two seconds after reviewing CT. «Oh this is from your previuos surgery it’s very common.»

Doctors are great, nice staff, overall good experience.

I generally agree with the «nightmare» assessments for dealing with this office.
Last fall I developed a small bump on the tongue-​side gum of my lower jaw. My dentist was not concerned about it but suggested that I see an oral surgeon just to be sure.
Dr. Bui recommended that we remove the bump and submit it for pathology just to be sure, which I thought was a reasonable approach. Unfortunately, everything went downhill from here.
Within hours of the first procedure being completed, I felt the site of the excision with the tip of my tongue and suspected he had not actually removed the bump, but couldn’t be sure because of the swelling. As the site healed over the next few weeks it became clear that he had indeed missed the bump and had instead cut out a piece of my gum just next to the bump itself.
OK. Nobody’s perfect. Dr. Bui agreed to perform a second procedure at no charge. Fair enough. (As a side note, prior to the second procedure, I had to remind the nurse to give me an antiseptic mouth rinse before beginning the procedure… not confidence inspiring.)
I thought I finally had closure for this issue until a few weeks later I received a bill from the pathology lab that the second tissue sample had been sent to. Given that Dr. Bui had offered to do the follow-​up procedure at no charge, I assumed they would also pick-​up the second pathology expense, as the mistake had been his to begin with.
Long story short, after at least 8 phone calls to Dr. Bui’s billing office over the course of three months, Dr. Bui refused to cover the cost of the second pathology lab, which by my accounting was his responsibility. I would have simply been disappointed if he had provided this answer up front, but the fact that I had to hound his office over the course of three months (leading to the pathology bill being sent to collections) to get an answer was simply unacceptable.
Bottom Line: If you’re looking for the services of an oral surgeon, keep on looking.

I should have known when I called to schedule my consult appointment that I should have stayed away from this office. The staff was not friendly or helpful on the phone and I received the same type of treatment in the office. I waited over an hour to be seen for my appointment then an additional 30 minutes to be seen by the Dr once I was in a room. I was in their office for 2.5 hours for a simple consult when I was told it would be an hour at the most. I was quoted one charge then billed something 7x more. When I called to ask questions about the charges they said they had explained everything to me in the office when they hadn’t. I wish I would have read more reviews and researched this office a little bit more before wasting my money. I will not be going there for my upcoming surgery and do not recommend their office. Their lack of customer service and integrity will ruin their business. My insurance company is currently reviewing all of the charges they were billed for my visit.

I had a groupon for a microderm treatment. I get facials every month so I feel somewhat familair with the process. I would not come back here for another one though. The technician was not at all friendly and I really feel i got cheated. The microderm should have lasted almost and hour, I was told an hour and a half for my appt. But including a chemical peel it was less than 40 minutes. I think the total microderm time was less than 5. I dont know if she was having a bad day or what but she said less than two words to me, and seemed like everything she did was rushed. I felt like I was being treated like lower class because I had a groupon. Then she offered to do more treatments at the same price I paid for the groupon. Guess it wasnt a deal after all. I wont be going back. Would rather pay double and have it done right.

NIGHTMARE!!! Dr. Dierks is an excellent physician with an outstanding bedside manner, BUT the office staff and medical assistants are BEYOND INCOMPETENT!!! I waited four weeks for the first available appointment, then I spent three hours at the office simply to be jerked around from waiting room to treatment room then waiting room and back again, only to be told they needed to reschedule my 7 year old daughter’s procedure for later in the week.
During my consultation Dr. Dierks told me that he could do the surgery right then. Next I was told by an office worker that the surgery staff (not Dr. Dierks) was over scheduled that day and unable to assist him. Immediately after that, I was told if I waited a while they could go ahead with the procedure as they «just got a cancellation.» I comforted my crying seven year old who was very frightened of the necessary upcoming procedure back in the waiting room for another 2 hours after the appointment.
After being forced to pay upfront, I was then told that my daughter would do better if she was given a prescription to take 30 minutes prior to surgery to help her be calm. That was when they told me to come back in three days. This all could have been resolved within the first 10 minutes of the consultation if only the office and staff were managed properly. The DISORGANIZATION, POOR COMMUNICATION, AND COMPLETE MORANIC INEPTNESS of each employee has made my overall experience so awful, that I am considering not returning for the surgery. I will call to see if my credit card charges can be cancelled.

I came here for a Groupon I purchased for a microderm and facial.
I was pretty happy with the results.
This isn’t a super relaxing process. It was very business like and honestly, a really weird facial (and I get a LOT of facials).
I was on time for my appointment, but they were running 15 minutes late. At 1:30 in the afternoon. That annoys me, because to me it says someone wanted to take a long lunch.
The aesthetician was friendly, and gave me some solid advice for taking care of my skin.

my little daughter was attacked by a rottweiler in may ’10.she was taken to legacy emanuel in NE and had surgery to repair the numerous wounds on her face from the dog. the surgeons were from Head & Neck surg. assoc. and they did a great job.
her one year check up in soon and we have been here every month since the accident and i must say that i am 100% impressed with how they deal with this very stressful situation and the scars and surgeries she will be having still. they talk about everything in depth with me and her mother and always have great advice about at home care.
they have a great play area fro kids set up in the lobby/​seating area. they have a private lot for parking and im very pleased with all of the people who work there. i really cant say enough about how wonderful this place is!
