LOFT

I like the styles at LOFT a little better than the regular Ann Taylor store, and the prices are a little better too, but the quality is not quite as high. I haven’t found sale prices to be of much help on the wallet.

As a boyfriend, I’ve been standing for over half an hour and there is no boyfriend chair or place to rest my shopping bags so I’m at a random black table with everything on it. So this is a very non-​boyfriend friendly store. As a man, all I ask for is a place to not look so awkward in a female store…

Excellent service today! The women working were all helpful and constructive I helping me find an outfit for a big event. Steamed it for me and everything so it would be ready to go. Also told me that they offer student discounts when no other Ann Taylor LOFT has told me that before. Always have a good selection and I know if I need something I can find it.

I am a 49 year old mom who is cute and young looking and doesn’t want «mom» jeans. But I also have outgrown many of the popular brand jeans and just can’t bring myself to pay $ 150 for a pair of Citizens or Sevens. I am also petite (5’3″ and 130 lbs with curves). Ann Taylor Loft is perfect for me! They are working hard to model their denim after the premium brands, but with their coupon deals you can get a nice pair of jeans for $ 40 or so. I work in a casual office and most of the stuff I buy there easily transitions from work to weekend. Just bought a pair of Lean Boyfriend jeans. They are comfortable enough to wear like a pair of sweats, but with some cute sandals and tank top could go out for a glass of wine. I find the staff there VERY nice and accommodating.

I love Ann Taylor Loft. Jen K’s review is right on the money though — but the reason why i gave it 5 stars is because whenever i walk in, i know i can find at least 1 piece to buy on sale that is absolutely appropriate for work without breaking the bank! If you’re looking for a basic work top, or bottom, this is a great fantastic place to shop. They always have something on sale and unlike some clothing stores, i don’t feel like i have to go through a million racks to get a great deal. Highly recommend this store if you’re looking to shop for some work basics!

Dear ATL: I am feeling a little blue. When did you get a case of the uglies? You were my shining retail star. Cute clothes that didn’t break the bank. Lots of sales — oh your $ 25 savings cards and discount racks filled with those deep reds and brilliant blues. The forest greens that matched my eyes and soft pinks that warmed my heart.
How come the last six or seven times I’ve stopped by you didn’t inspire? Sure the people are still friendly and the changing rooms spacious, but the clothes, ick? When did plaid and paisley become the new black?
I thought you understood me… clean lines and monochromatic palates. Black and gray fitted slacks and sweaters for the office and flippy skirts and satin camisoles for the evening. You made me feel like a good girl with a sexy secret. Is this too much for the office?
Now, its not too late. I think if you try you can change your ways and get back to the fun girl you used to be. Don’t over think it. Remember average and boring are dirty words. Inspire me…
