Food was good and server was nice and friendly :) Only gave 4 stars because the time before wasn’t as good.

I’m glad a friend told me about Old Chicago’s «Late Night Specials» after 10pm. Went to the location at Plaza 205 to check it out. Well, they have a very limited selection on their«special» menu(only five items), but I can’t argue with the $ 2.00 price for each item. I ordered beer-battered onion rings and a personal sized pizza. A «special» one-topping pizza is $ 2.00, and additional toppings are 50 cents each. Fair enough, so I chose four toppings on mine for only $ 3.50. Onion rings were good. They were coated with a light, «airy“batter, were not greasy, and had Parmesan cheese sprinkled on top. The pizza was good too. I knew they have lots of different beers so finding a good beer would be easy. Nice.. .they have Newcastle Brown Ale from UK on tap, one of my favorite brews, and although imports weren’t included in the«Late Night Specials» pricing, it was still perfect for me. Their bar and dining room are spacious and there are TV sets all over the place, so I’m guessing this would be a great place to come and watch sports. My waitress was friendly and efficient. All around good deal and good meal.

Poor service at this location. Food was perfectly fine(standard Old Chicago fare and quality). The host staff, and wait staff were miserable and made us feel disappointed we chose to spend the afternoon here. Management never bothered to come by and chat with us even though we asked for them multiple times.

This is a possible 3.5 star place. It’s pretty good. Service is alright, dining room not so much, but the bar is the place to sit, always. I wish it was slightly bigger to match the dinning area but it’s such an odd set up, not sure what could be done for that at this location. Still, a great place for family’s and awesome spot for HH, lots of beer on tap. Been here enough times to know they rotate options. The lighting is low which is a plus, it’s always unpleasant when I place is too bright. Defiantly try their pretzels, jalapeño pretzel with cheese. I have yet to try the pizza or wings but have feasted on multiple other things to say the menu has decent choices available.

Normally when you put pizza, big screen TVs, and brew pub together in a spacious, clean environment it has two thirds of the formula for a fantastic customer experience. The Old Chicago near Mall 205 is an example of a great place for a burger, pizza(love the pizza rolls), and to watch football. Great menu with a selection that has something for everyone, from the family of four to the beer snob. Great ambience as its a happy medium between Buffalo Wild Wings and Red Robin. And you’ll find at the bar, people who are regulars there and that shows that they have loyal repeat customers. All the way ingredients(pardon the pun) are there for a great Monday night football or Friday dinner out. So, here’s the small issue that I have with Old Chicago at Mall 205, and I do love Old Chicago at Mall 205, but the service is consistently slow. If you’re looking to order food or drinks in the bar area and you’re not sitting right on the bar, it takes forever to get the attention of staff and even longer once the order for food or drink is taken. I have never understood why such a first class, appealing place doesn’t put the money into one additional server. The answer maybe is that they don’t have to., because they have a consistent clientele. That being said… I’d recommend Old Chicago and I’ll happily go there. In fact I can’t wait to get back, but I’ll be prepared to wait once I get back.

I am torn between three and four stars, I just don’t feel that I can justify a fourth star. I come here when passing through the area a couple times a year, I come for the Italian nachos and enjoy a beer as well. I am happy to see in the bottle selection that they had a Belgian quad, it wasn’t one I had heard of, but I enjoyed it all the same. The pizza is sub par for a pizza oriented place, and with the name old Chicago it would lead you to believe they have a real Chicago style pizza, which I have yet to find on the menu. Chicago style is not deep dish.

I only go to this OC when the 82nd one had a huge/long wait time. I have been to this OC3 times. AND for the 3rd time, I am disappointed. So much so, that I think I will not be back. Our server was AWFUL! She couldn’t get anything right. We got out appetizer AND salad the same time we got our pizza… The place just seems dirty — maybe that is because there is a strip joint across the street!!! I don’t know… I am just highly disappointed every time I have been here.

Old Chicago is a large chain based in the Great Lakes. If you’ve been to that region these restaurants are everywhere. Meanwhile, there’s a pocket of them in Colorado and the Portland area, too. Compared to local Chicago style pizza Old Chicago falls short. However, in the Portland area there isn’t much better. Most folks actually believe this is comparable to the slices you’d find a Giordanos and Lou Malnattis, the two famous small chains in Chi-Town. What Old Chicago does boast is a fun, upbeat atmosphere, where pizza lovers can watch sporting events on big screen TV’s and drink beer and if that’s what you’re seeking this spot will treat you right. Of course, service varies by the waiter/waitress you get, but it should be fair, at best. If you’re going to come get the deep dish, rather than the thin crust. Deep dish is their specialty. The salads are average, yet get the job done and we’ve had to shy away from the dozen or so appetizers, simply because they are greasy and don’t taste like they are made on site. Regardless, if you come here for pizza and beer, you’ll leave full, that’s for sure.

Great food. Long beer list that changes/rotates. Happy hour is decent. The oh my spaghetti pie with marinara is my favorite. The only reason this place doesn’t get 5 stars from me is because the service is very inconsistent. They have a huge staff turn over rate here and sometimes service is great and sometimes, not so much.

The atmosphere is pretty cool and it is a family type restaurant. I do not frequently come here but when I have its usually good. The pizza here is good and I love the deep dish. The beer selection isn’t bad and the price is moderate. The staff is friendly and make good recommendations. There is a private parking lot with plenty of spaces available to park. They are generally very busy here on the weekends and evenings. This is a good family type restaurant and I would come back and eat here. Service is generally good here as well.

I always love getting the Calzones whenever I’m at any Old Chicago’s, they make probably the best Calzones in the Northwest IMO. The service at this Old Chicago, is just as good as the one in Boise, very friendly and very prompt, they make sure you dont wait long to get your food and drinks. I really love the variety of beers they have here, always can get something different, or try something new! Can’t think of anything negative to say about them– we will be back! And I would HIGHLY recommend them!

Disclaimer: I’m from Chicago. There is nothing more frustrating for a hungry Chicagoan than a place that claims to make Chicago style pizza, and comes up way short in the delivery. Like 95% of the pizza on the west coast, it was just your basic, boring pan style Dominoes attempt at pizza. The«personal deep dish» looked like a kids pizza at the Hut. Our nachos platter was great, and a lot more than expected, so that’s a plus. If you’re looking for a sports bar to watch the game on TV, have some OK beers and scarf down some tasty appetizers, you could do worse than Old Chicago. Update: I have since been back for a BBQ bacon burger and a good beer, and the meal was much better than my first attempt getting the pizza.

My ultimate favorites that I always get over and over again is 1) Chicken pesto panini 2) Oh my spaghetti pie 3) BBQ bacon cheddar burger & for drinks I am hands down strawberry mojito, the best I’ve had! And they have the best appetizers!!! Great place to go kick back with a few friends with drinks and delicious appetizers!
