Wow. I never thought I would review a Papa Murphy’s on here, but I had to after that. Assistant Manager, Brandi, rudely informed me that they would not honor the coupon which came from their very own text message mailing list. Without going into all the details, she basically said that the coupon must be an error and she wouldn’t honor it. It wasn’t like I was going to make away like a bandit, it said I got free cheesy bread with a pizza purchase… I told her I wouldn’t get anything then or come back again either with that level of service, and she simply smiled at me with a $#!@-eating grin and said, «Okay! Have a great night!» Unbelievable. Losing a customer over a side of cheesy bread? Great business sense. I guess don’t go to this location if you want to try and use a coupon issued by the company itself or if you want to support a business that actually cares about its customers.

This review is based on my experiences with other Papa Murphy’s locations: I frequent this Papa Murphy’s often, as it is on the way home for me. To date, I have not had a positive experience in this location. I am not sure if it is my timing of when I arrive or what, but I am never greeted with a smile and it seems that my order is always such a burden for the people working. This last visit had me waiting at the counter to make my order for around 3 minutes… Which doesn’t seem too bad except that someone was standing at the register and did not acknowledge me. When she did, she took my order like it was a chore. The person making the pizzas got in a conversation with someone as she was making my pizza. This didn’t slow her down except at the end when she was staring out the window at something as she was handing me my pizzas and finally said,“oh, here you go.“ The pizza is fine, it didn’t take forever, but the whole process did not feel nice. I walked in with a smile and left feeling really ignored and unhappy. This happens nearly every time I am in this location.

Consistently good pizza. It’s not gourmet or high end but it’s pretty good. I like that you can customize your order with what kind of sauce you would like and can even have two different sauces on the pizza. The herb tomato sauce is pretty dandy. It’s lighter and not as sweet as the regular sauce. When they have their 10.00 Tuesdays you can get a pretty good deal. I got a pizza that would have been over 20.00 for just 10.00.

This is pizza for people who don’t like cooking or delicious food. If your broke, busy or had one too many. This is «The Spot» for you! It’s «cheap eats’ so that’s a good thing. Ish.

They have some of the tastiest sauce I’ve ever had, they pile on the toppings. Seriously, this competes with some of the hippest pizza joints around, and is half the price, or less. One warning, if you ride tri-met, be ready to guard your pie with your life, as everyone on the bus gets jealous and mentions something about you feeding everyone, bringing enough to share, etc lol. Way to make friends, I’ll tell ya. Glad I don’t ride tri-met anymore, thought i was going to get pizza mugged! When I think of pizza, I usually go here, and if I even mention getting it, my husband gets all excited, I can almost hear the drool as his eyes open wide. Even their thin crust delite pizzas are delicious, and better for you. They have salads, cookie dough, desert pizzas, soda, this is the pizza place for the ages. They better not go anywhere. Preheat the oven honey, I’m going to Papa Murphy’s!

It’s Papa Murphy’s! Really I am hard pressed to figure out what else to say about this place. If you don’t know, Papa Murphy’s is a «Take and Bake» pizza shop. They will take your order, prep the pizza, and you take it home and bake it in your own oven. With this idea, you would think that the pizzas would be very competitively priced compared to pizza shops that bake the pizza for you. Ordering the specials can be a steal if you aren’t picky. The stuffed pizzas are a little spendy but well worth the money since I know of no other pizza shops that do stuffed pizza like Papa Murphy’s. Get your pizza here if you don’t mind baking the pizza at home, if your are feeding a small crowd, or if you want something better than normal pizza fare like the Mediterranean De-Lite Pizza. I will be back for more, you can count on that.
