If I could give negative stars I would. I’m 10 weeks pregnant and high risk. My OBGYN called them to get me in immediately for my thyroid disorder. This place said they would call me to schedule an appointment. I gave them until the end of the week. No call. I’ve called 3 times since in the past 2 weeks and no return call. The lady at the main desk isn’t even willing to listen to me since I’m a new patient and immediately transfers me to the new patient voicemail. Terrible customer service and complete lack of patient care. If they can’t accept new patients then just say it! I’ll be looking into reporting them to the better business bureau. Just terrible!

I’ve been a type 1 diabetic for 27 out of my 29 years. I had not been to see an endocrinologist for approximately 18 years(before this past July). Instead of being admonished and made to feel guilty, Dr. Neifing was very supportive, asked a lot of questions about my lifestyle, etc. and came up with a game plan that we both felt I could reasonably adhere to. He can seem very abrupt, but I’m pretty sure that’s just his personality and he’s aiming to help you get better control of your diabetes. He gave(and continues to give) me an amazing amount of free samples at my visit(that alone is worth whatever I pay out of pocket after insurance). There’s not a lot of discussion, I get more of that with Laurel Zuberi. Neifing and Zuberi did get me started on a Medtronic insulin pump(that in and of itself is a love/hate relationship), and with their help, their guidance on lifestyle and diet as well as insulin and testing, I am so much healthier than I was at this time last year. Their in house medical vampires(see Phlebotomist) are extremely patient and willing to work with me and my phobias(you wouldn’t think a diabetic would have a fear of needles). I will say this, it takes a long time to get an appointment here. Ask to be put on their Cancellation wait list. I called in July and their next opening with Neifing was in December(I really wanted Neifing because my GP and he are friends and I felt might communicate better). I asked to be notified of any cancellations. The woman called back not ten minutes later with a next day appointment. Complete awesomeness. So, the positives: –free samples, free meters, free stuff! –Knowledgeable and realistic –Great staff, very patient! –Good location(at least for me). I’m familiar with the area and it’s easy to get to. Someone said that it was inconvenient because you have to park in the structure and walk. Yes, you do have to do that, but it’s not a far walk, there are elevators and walking is good for you. Seriously, not that inconvenient. –They let you know about studies going on in the area related to Diabetes. Negative: –Without insurance I wouldn’t be able to afford this care(but isn’t that how the medical profession in America works?). –Really hard to make an initial appointment. –Hard to get in touch with the doctor if I need a prescription tweaked. Hopefully, I will be a lifelong member!

I have Hasimotos thyroid disease which requires getting a thyroid ultrasound annually. This clinic is in the dark ages and uses 1980’s equipment which produces ultrasound images on thermopaper — you know the receipts that you cannot read after they get old or heated. So their images can only be photo copied which produces extremely poor quality images that must be snail mailed. Since these images are needed a base line this is absurd. I highly recommend if you choose to use them demanding that you get digital ultrasounds available at all hospitals and clinics other than this one. The doctors may be good but this is such an egregious error and is financially and medically inexcusable.

First off the only thing keeping these folks from a 5 star review is the location. I find it a hassle to drive all the way to St. Vincents, park in the garage, then walk a mile to their office, if it was more conveniently located that would be a bonus for me! My Doctor is Fawn Wolf and I am a fan of hers. I have a severe fear of Doctors of all types and she totally understands my panic, she has a calming personality and does not judge me for my silly ways. The two Nurses she works with are both kind and professional, what more could you ask for. They do your blood-work right there, which I appreciate, it saves me a trip and a long wait at the lab up the street. The front office is a bit outdated, but I presume they are spending their money on other things.
