I love this store and what Rachelle M has brought to the Pearl and Bridgeport Village. Very unique and classy all in one. The owners are fantastic people and really know the fashion world and customer service. Rachelle M Rustic House of Fashion is a must shopping spree for every season.

This place sure is beautiful. If this is the vibe that appeals to you (as it does to me), and if your thing includes cute rain boots, embossed belts, embroidered shirts, and demin (as does mine), then this store is going to make you wish it was your closet, and not the corner boutique.
The mark-​up, though, is unconscionable. The cute rain boots for $ 189? Found them on line for $ 120. The Go Belly Go brand tights (beautiful, really) they have for $ 43? At the Go Belly Go web site they are $ 28. I’m not even going to check anything else.
Maybe if money were no object and I wanted to pay double to shop among cute things and friendly people I’d go ahead and suck it up, but money is an object — it should be — so I’ll hang on to more of mine and shop somewhere else.

What a great addition to Portland! After buying several amazing gifts here I inquired about purchasing a rain boot in a color that was not in stock. I was assured that this color would arrive to my door within 48 hours, and that if I wasn’t pleased with it I could return the boots. Everything went as planned, my friend loves her fuchsia boots, and has gotten lots of compliments. I was very impressed with the service at this shop, and I’ve since returned for more gifts as well as those amazing Dylan tees. Great job here Rachelle M!

The lady who complained about boot cuffs cracks me up. No, they aren’t full socks, I even know that and I’m not one you would call fashionably inclined. To each their own, because I bought two pairs of boot cuffs for my mom and a pair of cuffs and Ilsa Jacobsen boots for my sister for Christmas. They loved them! I also bought a purse for my best friend for Christmas and she loved it so much she cried. These are really great products. But to me, the products don’t make everything, it’s the whole experience. I know and adore the family who own and run the shop, and they are just wonderful and accepting people. I hope they open a men’s store!

This shop is just what the Pearl needed! Rachelle M. is a beautiful store with an amazing selection of items that range from unique clothing, to exquisite gifts. The ambiance is inviting and comfortable, the owners are extremely friendly, and the staff is incredibly helpful. The interior is nicely done, with custom handmade pieces that will appeal not only to Portlanders, but to anyone who comes through.
During my first time there, the sales associate was very patient and helped me through the selections until I found the items I absolutely loved. I was so happy with my purchases that I kept going back for more!
The owner, Rachelle, does a fantastic job curating the items featured in her shop. You can tell her passion and experience from the items she selects. Most of these items are not only unique, but also exclusive, and you can’t get them anywhere else. I really admire her talent in bringing it all together.
Rachelle M. is also my go to place for gifts for my friends. They carry an amazing selection of local items, as well as designer pieces such as Kate Spade. I love it all.
I am so happy I found this store! The shopping experience is so important to me. Being able to shop at a locally owned store and enjoy the process is priceless.

This is a very nice shop and a very nice departure from some of the stale mainline department stores if you are looking for something a bit more unique. I recently purchased some rain boots for my girlfriend with the guidance of an extremely helpful sales associate. I’m glad I did because I scored major points with the purchase!!! If you find yourself in the Pearl you owe it to yourself to stop into Rachel M. I will be back for sure!!!

Did most of my Christmas shopping here love the service and quality!!! I found many gifts including rain boots for my sister law all at great prices. I was even able to order myself a pair of Bed|stu boots and a amazing rain jacket!!! I have had the boots a month now and absolutely love them!!! The rain jacket has been a life saver the past 2 weeks of rain!!!

This shop is nothing short of fantastic. Don’t believe the poor reviews… posted by a CLEARLY disgruntled shop owner with a location on NW Everett (look at her posts… ALL done yesterday and today with the only positive one’s about businesses on NW Everett… nice try).
Rachelle M provides fashions that are unique to Portland. Their customer service is second to none, and the prices are fair compared to other boutiques in the market. I have recommended this store to countless professional women and they all thanked me. Try this place once and you’ll keep coming back again and again. Keep up the great work Rachelle M and your staff.

the style is way too country for me but I still walk though once in a while because I walk by this place nearly everyday… I have a few complaints:
I bought some black stretch pants that were such poor quality I only got to wear them once, because when I wore them at the airport I was carrying a woven bag and it brushed against the pants causing them to get little lint looking balls and rough where it touched and now they look 10 years old. H&m has better quality…
During summer I asked if they had any sandals… the girl replied a snarky «NO!, we oregon girls like or boots»… well that is great & yes I have 3 pairs of rubber boots but its July and like 90 degrees outside… I guess Im not a Oregon girl…
When I stop in another time a month or so ago during winter –considering they have rain boots, I went in to look for socks to wear with my boots… they wanted $ 30 – 35 for a pair of FAKE SOCKS …
yes fake socks– a small piece of material about 4inches wide you place around your calf to make it look like you wearing a long sock…
& not even name brand!!! they must be having trouble paying rent or they artificially raise the price just because it is in the pearl and they think people want to waste money. I ended up buying the real thing –Hunter fleece boot socks from Nordstrom and a few other pairs of full long socks from the mall for waay less

My point is someone would have to be wanting to waste money or just really dumb to buy a fake socks/​boot cuffs (whatever you wish to call them) from you, when they can get the exact same thing directly from the company’s website that makes them for almost 30−40% cheaper than you have them marked-​up.

Something displayed on their window prompted me to walk in. It’s a warm inviting space and the ladies working there were so genuinely friendly and welcomed everyone that walked in. They carried some Kate Spade gifts/​accessories as well as some other knick-​knacks, clothing and cowboy boots. I did buy a small gift here but the style of clothes was not my cup of tea.
I’m not their ideal customer but they had cute gifts throughout the store that appealed to me that I wouldn’t had known had I not walked in. Still, I may (or may not) return in the future but it’s a cute shop worth checking out.

Cute shop, that much is obvious, but really disappointing customer service today (12÷17÷14). I work in the area, and walked over on my lunch hour. I was prepared to purchase the Bed Stu «Venice Beach» bag I’d seen online, but I didn’t even rate a greeting or second look from either of the sales associates. Not sure what it was about me that turned them off, as I smiled and tried to catch their eye twice, even taking a full lap around the shop. I know there was another customer (trying on shoes, I think), but with just two of us in the store, I had hoped for at least minor acknowledgement and maybe even an offer to help, as both associates were offering to the other guest. What a disappointment. Don’t think I’ll be back, even for that beautiful bag.

This is not your typical clothing store — the lines and products are gorgeous, well-​made and special. She carries a number of lines that aren’t available anywhere else in the area that I know of. Every piece is priced according to the impeccable quality, so its all worth it. The location and product offering are perfect for the customer they’re reaching out to.
