I had an appointment near SomaSpace so thought I’d check it out for a morning class. I got there early and the door was locked so I was nervous the schedule was wrong, but before long two lovely ladies arrived and confirmed the class would be happening. The instructor, Andrèe, arrived just before 10 to unlock the door. I wish I had half an hour to just hang out in that space! Great wood floors, cozy couches in the back, water and tea… The class itself was really fun. It was called U-Vigorate and described as a low-impact cardio but felt more like a fun dance class. The music was«eclectic» as one of the regulars, Gloria, said, which was really enjoyable for me. Andrèe seemed to really love teaching, even to a small class, and I had so much fun. After the class was over I wanted to stay and chat with the Wednesday morning ladies but had to get to my pesky appointment. Can’t wait to go back!

i love this place and i am really sad there wont be belly dancing classes here anymore. i signed up for classes in march and was pretty nervous since it was my first belly dancing class. as soon as you walk in you feel calm. the lights are dimmed and there are couches and floor pillows and tapestries everywhere. the walls are a soothing yellow and there is a massage room and a dressing room that are both warm and comfy. the dance space is very nice and beautifully decorated. i loved going to class there and will definitely be following gypsy caravan to their other space. if you are a beginner or even advanced dancer gypsy caravan is a great class to take. check out soma space for other classes as well because the space is just magical.
