Good coffee! Bran muffin with pumpkin seeds was super moist. Unfortunately, the seating availability was limited and the weather didn’t permit sitting outside

Great Hazelnut Latte. The hazelnut flavor tastes like actual hazelnuts and not just a syrup. It’s as if they straight up melted the nut and served it in your coffee.

I rally, really, really want to like this place. I am a daily latte drinker and this is my neighborhood café. I’ve given it a try over five times in the past couple of years, always hoping I will fall in love with it like so many others do. However, I just can’t. Here’s why: 1) drinks are mediocre, and expensive. Not a good combo. 2) I’ve never had a barista smile at me here. I don’t need a super friendly person, but you don’t have to be cold either. 3). The last time I went, I waited over 30 minutes for a to go bagel. I watched six people in line behind me leave with their drinks. After 30 minutes when I inquired I watched them just push the button down on the toaster and give me a cream cheese packet. That shouldn’t take 30 minutes. I’m sure I’ll keep trying and I hope I like it eventually.

Love this little neighborhood gem. For a treat, I get their mocha w/almond milk(iced) and it’s SO delicious. Coffee is good both hot or iced — a little citrus notes when iced. Small bites are good — especially the toast w/butter and jam. Have a great deck out back for sitting and tables out front for sitting in the sunshine. Prices skew higher.

What a cute and wonderful shop! Great enthusiastic baristas and great coffee. They have toast which is a French baguette with your choice of toppings for it, which was amazing. Such a great visit to a cute little tucked away shop. Will be visiting again soon.

Good little neighborhood coffee shop around the corner from our Airbnb. They have a small but decent selection of pastries. Coffee selection is not huge but solid and our mocha and hazelnut latte were great. In fact, the hazelnut latte had real hazelnuts not syrup. Good local neighborhood vibe here.

Had a meeting here. First time here, what a lovely place. Easy, casual, delicious food and beverage options. I would have stayed longer, however my laptop battery expired and there are few plugins. But — I won’t knock them for that, it would change the vibe of the place with outlets every 4 feet.

Great little spot. Picked up a hazelnut coffee. They put a hazelnut paste into the coffee which is a refreshing change from the traditional syrups. The paste does not add any sweetness and this is a big plus for me. Really liked their coffee and I like the space — it is comfortable and the service is very good.

26 is my neighborhood coffee shop. This is where I get coffee on work mornings, and where I take my family for pastries and hot drinks on the weekend. In addition to baked goods and coffee, 26 serves beer, which I sometimes take advantage of on a Saturday afternoon. At 26, there are lots of good places to sit. Inside is good for watching the hubbub of the coffee shop. There’s also seating out front, under a nice old tree, which is perfect for when the weather is good. Finally, out back in an enclosed porch you can enjoy a quieter, darker atmosphere, under heat lamps if necessary. P. S. the coffee is excellent, and the staff are friendly, non-pretentious, and have excellent hair.

They don’t allow dogs on the patio. For this reason, I won’t support them. Businesses in Oregon need to take a clue from Washington and California and stop discriminating against dog owners. If I’m outside, I should be allowed to sit with my well behaved dog. I shouldn’t have to sit out on the street with the cigarette smokers. Seems like an unenlightened city in this regard. Off to find someplace dog friendly to drink coffee and do computer work now. Update: I raised my rating from two to three to offset my temporal grumpiness.

I went here for an Urban Outfitters event/show. I didn’t get to fully experience what the café had to offer as it was a free food/free drinks thing that didn’t offer their whole menu. I had never really been to that little section of the NE, but it is super cute! I can see the potential for other days. We loved the ambiance and there was even a Unilocal coupon for 26% off, how cute/clever is that?

Great place, great people, great coffee, reasonably priced. They let me bring in my puppy off-leash which is awesome. Wifi and a sweeeet patio, def my coffee spot when I need more than my Nespresso machine.

Back patio a most wonderful space. The café has a laid back unassuming atmosphere, in a quiet and serene neighborhood. Most of all, the coffee is out of this world!

This is my neighborhood coffee shop, and I LOVEIT! Everything from the décor, to the staff, to the owner, to the vibe, is GREAT. The coffee is of exceptional portland quality, and the Fleur De Lis baked goods are to die for! In fact — all the nosh here is good. I am grateful that this space is a short walk from my front door, yet I’d stop through anytime if I wasn’t already in the neighborhood. Thanks for being there, Twenty-Six Café!!!

Based on the Unilocal reviews and the cute website, I was expecting a lot better. I should have been warned when I saw the door glass was missing, replaced by a wooden board. The neighborhood for this neighborhood café is also not very idyllic. Then, although the café was absolutely dead inside, it was filthy. Every table I saw was littered with food scraps. Even if you have just one barista working, you have to wipe the tables down. The music in the background was a thumbs down. And finally, the coffee was very poor quality. Maybe it was just the wrong day to come, with the sudden confluence of a bunch of fluke experiences, but I doubt it.

Love this neighborhood coffee shop with gorgeous outdoor patio and delicious drinks. They have a house-brewed chai that is soooo good as a chai lattee. Baristas are nice! Place is great to get work done.

This has all the makings of a lovely neighborhood coffee joint. Reasonably-priced good coffee, chill and friendly staff, seating arrangements to compliment all temperatures(air-conditioned indoor, outdoor, and covered outdoor patio in the back), and unobtrusive indie music playing make this a pleasant place to chat with friends, do some serious work, or just lounge all afternoon with a novel. I find myself being very productive in this café. I enjoy the space very much – a mix of clean modern and warm eclectic. The sandwiches seem a bit overpriced and although they did not give me the 26% Unilocal discount stated on the app, I still love this place and will be back.

It’s hard for me to review coffee shops because of my strong antipathy for their reason to exist. But I can report my three companions on this visit all approved of their coffees, which were all different variations on that icky, stinky theme. For me, they had Mexican Coke. Beyond that, it’s not irritating, nor absurdly cutesy. The service was good and they have sandwiches and pastries and stuff. Not a bad place to bring some addicts.

The coffee is delicious, I’m a soy latte guy and it’s as good as any. But what truly sets this café apart is the patio seating they provide in the back. It’s hard for me to explain, but it’s just so quaint and relaxing, I could sit there all day.

The elegant spirit of Cartola lives on this chic update of the space and service. The bones of the unique décor still stand with brighter lighting and a better back patio. Added to the coffee service is a limited happy hour with beer, wine, and savory nibbles. I don’t know why I don’t come here more often. Clearly some defect in my character. [Yelp 30 Challenge: 12/30]
