Vanessa is detailed, listens, accomodates, pampers and does an amazing job with your hair! I walked in and had an idea of what I wanted and came out feeling amazing and pretty. I wanted to donate my hair and she made sure the donated hair was carefully managed and presented. Oh, and while my hair color was processing she gave me a shoulder massage!!! She goes the extra mile and you must must must see her!!!

Before I write my review for the wonderful work Vanessa did with my hair I have to come clean that I have spent a lot of money on my hair in the past! Cut, color, product, highlights, keratin straightening treatments… I have tried it all! Well almost… never did pay for a perm. After some soul searching and major life changes that rendered me with less cash to spend on my beauty obsession I had to search for a new stylist that wouldn’t break the bank. I’m so thankful that fate landed me in Vanessa’s capable hands! She immediately put me at ease and made me feel at home in the adorably decorated salon she works from. My hair was in pretty bad shape, and I wasn’t quite sure what I wanted done. Vanessa asked me thoughtful questions and really listened and I ended up with a very styled and polished cut that requires minimal effort on my part — perfect! Vanessa also took the time to give me great tips on products/​styling techniques without pushing any salon products on me. I couldn’t resist buying some organic and vegan mousse before I left — just the sort of product I normally need to hunt down and drive out of the way for! All in all I have to say I will be back and can’t wait to hear her suggestions next time I visit!

I came to Vanessa as a recipient of a gift certificate that I won in a raffle. I was needing a haircut, and haven’t found anyone that I love, so I was excited to try someone new.
Vanessa spent ample time with me assessing my needs and asking me about my hair. She really listens to what you are saying while providing her own professional input about what she thinks will work for you.
And then there’s the head, shoulder and hand massage. Amazing. Makes me want to sign up for a massage with her. Such a lovely add on to the haircut!
Another thing that I loved about Vanessa is that she doesn’t fill the time with mindless chatter. We had some good conversation, sure, but I didn’t feel like I needed to keep her entertained. I was able to just space out if I wanted to without it feeling awkward.
Vanessa offers online scheduling, which I view as a huge plus. Super appreciated.
