Ordered through Grubhub. Ordered spaghetti and meatballs and some cheese bread. Took longer than usual to arrive(although, this may be Grubhub’s fault) The spaghetti was mush. The sauce was bland. The meatballs were overcooked, cold, small, and flavorless. The cheesy bread was essentially a premade pizza crust with garlic butter slathered on and cheese melted on top. It was greasy and rubbery. Overall. VERY dissatisfied. Not likely to order from here again.

I ordered 18 pizzas and 5 salads from them to be delivered(by Delivered Dish) at noon. All the pizzas arrived warm and delicious. This super hard to please group of guys was absolutely ecstatic with the quality of both the pizza and the salad. Super worth it. Super good deal. I will go to them for pizza any day, any time, any giant order.

If you are looking for home made, always fresh pizza — here is the place. They cook in front of you and you know that it’s not pre made or just frozen pizza. Pizza has a lot of cheese, properly cooked crust and sauce. Girl at the register is super nice and helpful! Can’t wait to try their pasta!

Delicious. Convenient. Home-made. Value. All fantastic elements, but when found in combo, a winning deal! This great little food truck down town on 9th is a hidden gem! The sauces are made from scratch, the portions are huge, the pizza toppings are generous, the dough is fresh! I am only sad that I didn’t find it sooner! The owner is a warm and entertaining man who is a pleasure to talk to. He has been operating in this spot for about 7 months now with rumors of a more permanent location soon. Can’t wait for that!

Sometimes, you’re just not in the mood to make a whole batch of lasagna or spaghetti and meatballs, and you would rather drive 10 minutes downtown to get your dinner. This review is for the pasta only, and the two that I mentioned above. Marco, the owner is seriously the nicest, person you’ll ever encounter. Verona’s is like visiting your Italian friend’s home, he has this gravitational pull, that makes you feel welcome, and takes pride in his craft. Verona’s is a food truck, yes, it’s not a restaurant in the Pearl, or anything fancy. It’s home cooked Italian food, that’s simple and fresh. If you want fancy, you might want to reconsider. Growing up, our parents would order delivery and get baked spaghetti and lasagna on days that were hectic and it has been something I’ve been in search of, and haven’t found until now. Pasta that is easy, simple and uncomplicated.

Finding pizza in this city is fairly easy. Finding a pizza place that not only cooks fresh made pizza as you order, but offers diversity as well as incredible customer service is nearly impossible. Verona’s has everything in spades. A wonderful owner who takes time to make sure you feel welcome and will converse with you. A great product that is consistently perfect, and you get your goodies in a very timely fashion. This by far my favorite pizza place in Portland. Do yourself a favor and go get some pizza from Verona’s.

I order a pepperoni and it was great. The price is cheap and you get a pretty big pizza for one person. I want to try the lasagna next time.

The wait was short, and the pizza was delicious. I had the pepperoni and it was much much better than I expected it to be, especially because it’s a food cart. Will be coming back, and will recommend.

Large portions, but not very flavorful. I got the carbonara and it really didn’t taste like anything. The pasta was overcooked and the garlic bread was actually just a hot dog bun. It wasn’t bad but it wasn’t really good either. Great if you just want to eat a ton of food for not much money though.

Food was delivered by PrimeNow within 30 minutes very quick. Can’t complain there. Pizza was average. Hawaiian pizza Canadian Bacon was bland! Weird flavor. Spaghetti noodles were very soggy, like they were overcooked. Oh, and the garlic bread… Pieces of garlic bread I have ever seen, they looked like pickle spears, very thin! And with no crunchiness to the bread just soft. This was our first order with them. We will continue to find a pizza/pasta place to wow us but this was not the place for sure! Bottom line with us is if you live in this area with so many choices why settle for an average place to eat…

I came across this food cart and right away, booked market it to try it next! Glanced through the menu, and things seem to be promising. So on my visit, I tried the Quattro Formaggi pasta(four cheeses, if you like cheese!) and it was yumm. On my next visit, he made me a vegetarian pasta with what I like in it. It was BOMB! Then I decided to give the vegetarian pizza a shot as well. Let me tell you, for the price tag, I shared it with a friend and it was a good portion! The crust was great. He asked if I want light, medium or lots of sauce. Just what I like when I order a pizza! Light/medium is always the way to go for me. The crust was really good. The veggies were fresh, and good amount of cheese. I was satisfied and this will be a regular spot for me! Glad I tried this cart to put it along with the food carts I like in this block(I can count them with one hand). Italian food is so simple yet it’s so easy mess up. Glad this food cart did just the Italian job!

Stopped by Verona for the first time with my fiancé tonight and it was possibly the best pasta we have ever had(mind you my mother is New Jersey Italian). Every aspect of the dish was fantastic. Beyond the food, the owner, Marco, is an extremely nice person. He clearly takes so much pride in what he does and it shows in the food. Do yourself a favor and check this place out. We will be back very soon for the pizza!

I had the Quattro Formage Bolognese pasta. The pasta, seasoning and sauce was done just right. The sauce was made from beef, which I prefer. The owner was very nice & accommodating. I will definitely be coming back !!

We stopped at Verona today and got a pepperoni and margherita pizza. They were amazing! The crust was delicious and was nicely crisped with some good bubbles and char. The cheese quality is good and the sauce has a nice tang. The owner was very nice. Next time I’ll try the pasta. Eat here, you won’t regret it. Also– tip!

So sorry, because the owner/cook is a really nice person! I had a wonderfully interesting talk with him while he was cooking my Margarita pizza: he is from Verona, his mom is Bulgarian, and you can tell he cares about his food. But good food is good food, and this pizza was mediocre. So I feel badly that I did not like his pizza – the crust was a bit too fat(the thickness, tasted normal); it had fresh basil(love that!); but I had to search for the cheese pieces; and(even though he asked me and I said, I’ve been to Italy so not too much sauce please) the tomato sauce was a bit overwhelming… I got the garlic flavor on the crust because I saw him add a butter&garlic edge on the crust. Still I missed a small hint of rosemary, thyme, oregano in my mouth(that would have been nice to be in the tomato sauce). Please try to fix these – you have a cool vibe about your foodtruck!

Nestled between a Thai cart and Thick Pizza where Gaufret Gourmet once stood lies this new pizza/pasta cart. I thought it was a bit ballsy to put a pizza cart next to another pizza cart, but based on the menu they are meant to be quite different styles. The menu of Verona pieces together a picture of classic Pizzas from Napoli(although cheese, pepperoni, and Hawaiian also grace the menu — seemingly an afterthought). Neapolitan pizza is my favorite pizza, so I was excited to give this new cart a shot. I ordered a margherita pizza(the pizza by which all others shall be judged), although Verona cutely called it a Margarita Pizza. This really should have been my first red flag, but I thought I’d let the pizza speak for itself. I really wish I hadn’t. About five or six minutes later, I was handed my pizza. The owner beamed and told me, «Take a look inside! This is the real thing. Everything’s fresh.» Maybe he truly believed this. But I can’t see how. This is the point where you should take a look at the picture. What I saw was dough that was too thick, sauce that was too heavy, tiny pieces of what APPEARED to be fresh Mozzarella, and haphazardly-placed Basil that was just a bit past its hey-day and starting to get a little black. The dough tasted like the pre-made crusts you’d buy at a cheap grocery store and it, indeed, was far too thick. The marinara was too much, and was so sweet that I was sure it was pre-made and store-bought as well. The mozzarella looked like it could have been fresh, but it was rubbery by the time it got to me. It was the saddest that a pizza has made me in a very, very long time. The menu looked very promising. Many of the pizzas on there made a lot of sense and could be great as neapolitan pizzas. But the execution was so bad that I won’t be back. Steer clear of this cart. If you must have pizza and you also like deep dish, stick with Thick.
