Honestly I have been to a lot of dentists, and this is the worst experience I’ve ever had with one. I have had a root canal that has been bothering me and needed fixing since December. Since the root canal is on the left side of my mouth, I have only been able to chew on the right side of my mouth since the pain started.
In these 4 months of attempting to take care of this, it has not gone the way that I wanted to. The first time I went in I had to go through an entire first exam and take new X-​rays even though I LITERALLY had them done a week prior. They kept trying to make me get a cleaning on my friend appointment even though I made it very clear I didn’t want it done that day due to all of the pain I was in. Nothing was fixed that day. The next appointment that was set was for my cleaning.
Again, I kept telling them I didn’t want to do that. Here is the order that I wanted: Root Canal, Wisdom tooth, other filling (behind my front two teeth), cleaning. Here is the order I got: Nothing/​Xrays, Cleaning, FIRST (I found out yesterday she is doing it in THREE parts over a month apart) part of my root canal (What?! I have NEVER had a dentist do a procedure over multiple appointments), Filling behind my two front teeth.
This is as far as they have gotten with my issues in four months which is simply unacceptable. My retainer no longer fits me and I desperately need all of this work done so that I can get a new one (although I would really like to go with Invisalign if we ever get to that point) and hopefully stop clenching my teeth so much.
An additional issue that I’m having is that they are not prescribing me enough of the medication I need. Each of my appointments are over a month out of each other and I am in a lot of pain in between. I have made it VERY clear that I was in pain and needed more medicine, but got none.
I am very frustrated with all of these things that have happened. It should not take this long to have a healthy mouth and I will be switching dentists if nothing is done.
