Not impressed with the customer service and for some odd reason they don’t want to change the CO2 on the Coke machine

I don’t know what some of these people expect. How can it be very expensive but worth every penny? Some of these reviews don’t make sense but my evaluation is OUTSTANDING! Great food and Service when I have been in there. I don’t wright many of these but I thought I will this time

On june 1, my husband and a friend had cheeseburgers here; they came home enthusiatically describing perfect burgers, fabulous fries and the wonderful hostess. On Friday night my husband and I made the same order… only to receive a burger exactly like those from Wendy’s. And it cost 28 bucks, (2 med cheeseburgers, fries & 2 drinks, tip), I expected better… my hubby was SO disappointed (so was I. .he doesn’t get excited about many places). A place has to be consistent to stay in business…

The hamburgers here are awesome! Fresh ground beef with soft Bun and lettuce, tomato and onion! You can pick the size of the meat you want. We had a party of 6 and we all enjoyed the food! We will be coming back!

Friendly customer service, Burgers are fair, the cook needs to pay attention on orders.
We ordered burgers with certain items Not to be placed in the Burger but they did anyways.
The Meat was pink not cooked all the way.
The Music is good.

This is a damned good burger! And I know burgers (please see my dozens of burger reviews from one of the best burger cities in the world, Oklahoma City).
I was not expecting to find such a great burger in Arizona. I’m partial to a hand crafted, fresh patty, that is no frills. That’s exactly what I found at Brown Bag. I opted for the regular (a whopping 7 oz of beef) and it was the perfect size. You have options of lettuce, tomato, Mayo, ketchup, onion, mustard, pickles. Or bacon and cheese for extra cost. I chose cheese, lettuce, mustard, and pickles. It comes on a regular white bun, which is perfect, and wrapped in greasy wax paper just as it should be. The burger hit the spot and was the perfect size. They offer them in 4, 7, 10, 14 and 20 oz sizes (I think). I also had the onion rings (excellent) and tried Kates fries (also excellent).
While there were two downfalls to the burger, cost and leaf lettuce (which is a no-​go on a perfect burger) they wouldn’t keep me from returning to the Brown Bag. Cost was high ($ 26 for two burger meals) but frankly with my state of hunger and the quality of burger, I could easily let it slide. Best road burger I’ve had in a while.

A group of ladies and I were going through Prescott today looking for a quick and inexpensive lunch. We found it! Thank you Unilocal!
This is a small quaint little place & yummy. I don’t know if this is a mom and pop place, but the feel of it was. We were greeted at the order counter with a smile with great personal speak. Friendly staff.
Four if had burgers and fries & one had a fish sandwich & fries. Those of use who had burgers all totally agreed they were some of the best old fashion, tasty burgers were have had in «in a long time»; «I can’t remember when»; «it was just plain great yumminess»; were a few quotes. The fish sandwich was very good & bigger than expected, since she ordered a small, she enjoyed her lunch. The fries were hot and crispy.
Instead of calling our names to walk to the counter to pick up our meals, our meal was brought to the table. I don’t know what we did to impress her, but thank you, that was awesome. Were had a good time and good food. What else could a few friends ask for while eating lunch.
You can’t please everyone one, I’m sorry not everyone one thinks this is a great burger place, maybe their day was a little off.

Stopped here on our way back from camp creek, Hands down the best burger we have had, the food and the server was amazing, she had the whole shop laughing (she’s a ray of sunshine). Pricing is not too bad, the food will keep us coming back.

The burgers are amazing and the fries are cooked perfectly. This place fills up fast.

I live here and have eaten here for years. The burgers are great, and the portions are big. The attitude of the employees isn’t always super warm, but they are far from mean, and are pretty on par with most other places in Prescott.

average burger, pretty dissapointed. Took my family there during a quick Prescott Day trip. The prices were a bit high and the burgers were a mess. Meat lacked any real flavor and french fries were bland. My wifes burger completely fell apart and the cook cut it in half when he cooked it. He must have wanted to check to see if it was cooked inside, needless to say her patty was a total mess. Not impressed and wont be returning. Really… this is what Prescott considers a ‘really good burger’. McDonalds is better and they actually get your order right. I mean how hard is it to put just mustard, onion & lettuce on a burger. a small one at that. is it too much to ask to get even lukewarm fries vs. cold, limp things. this was awful and for $ 6 I will never be going back.

I find it so interesting how on line reviews can drive expectations for food joints. Some places can become nearly legionary and those working there believe it so much they can let their guard down and forget the difference between great and just mediocre are just a few details.
Such was my experience at Brown Bag Burger today. Don’t want to read on? In summary overhyped and over priced.
I skipped breakfast in anticipation of this bigger and better than average burger. So I was plenty hungry.
I arrived about 10 minutes after they opened and already 4 guys were ordered and waiting. Was greeted nicely. Both good signs. I ordered the regular cheese burger which is 7 oz — nice size. Then, the counter lady just started rattling off ingredients. I had no idea what she was saying at first and had her repeat herself and finally gathered oh, these were the extras choices. Jeez what ever happened to starting a sentence with «would you like?» Regardless I got all the standard «free“fare and added bacon. Had heard the onion rings were great so ordered those instead of fries. No drink, wow 13 bucks, seemed kind of pricey but hey expectations right? This should be well worth it!
About 10 minutes later she brought my food to the table. See picture.
Hmm 5 onion rings for a 1.99? But the
burger looked really good, both were hot. So a really good burger needs a few things. A good bun, meat to condiment ratio and this looks to have that. Tasty condiments. Almost had that. So there was plenty of bacon. But it was like the bacon out of the pre cooked package and it was barely warmed up let alone fried and crispy — are you kidding me?!! Lastly the meat needs to have enough fat and seasoning to enhance that. The fat content was there but no seasoning. Thank God I added bacon so that at least it added some saltiness to otherwise flavorless beef.
Look this was not a bad burger. But it is definitely not as great as they think they are. In the 25 minutes I was in there I heard the counter lady talk at least twice about how Unilocal reviews say we are the best in town. Well they need to stop reading their reviews and pay attention to the details that do make great burgers.
BTW the rings were just ok as well. If you are thinking about how you’d like something to dip them in after the 3^rd one well then they just aren’t at the great level.

This was the BEST burger I have had in a very long time, delicious and cooked just right! My first time here but it won’t be my last! Excellent sweet potato fries too!

What you want Vs what you get…
I’ve been driving past this place for years, and finally today I took the time to stop by. It actually is a fun little place, but my experience wasn’t what I expected. First, $ 53 for two xl burgers, two orders of chili fries, & two 3-​piece fish meals is a little expensive, but thats okay, I’ve heard & read great things about this place so it should be worth it… except it wasn’t. I don’t know if it’s common practice to have one person working on a Sunday afternoon, but either way, it wasn’t an experience that will ever ever make me want to ever go back. The fish was good, the fries were filling, but the hamburgers, the reason I went in were horrible. The meat wasn’t seasoned, and they were burnt to a crisp. It wasn’t just over-​done, it was literally burnt with chunks of char all over the hamburger. To add insult to char, we had to wait 20 minutes for one shake to be made for another person in our group. It wasn’t that we waited 20 minutes for the food to come out, we waited 20 minutes for the food, then waited an additional 20 minutes for a shake, so by that time, the food, especially the fries were cold. Granted it was busy, but when you figure in that it was a Sunday afternoon, and the prices, they would have at least a 2^nd cook so horrible experiences doesn’t continue to happen.

We went to Prescott on a day trip and checked this place out! This place has great burgers and great onion rings! The food comes out quick and tastes very fresh! If you’re in Prescott and in the mood for burgers, check this place out!

We strolled in there a little closer to closing than I normally would (mainly because they close at 8 and we had lost track of time during our weekend in the pines) but the girl at the register was bubbly and more than happy to help us and was nice enough to recommend not doing the chicken because it was a smaller portion.
After reading some of the reviews we wanted to give this place a go but we also didn’t want to keep them late so we took the food to go and right off the bat we were pleasantly surprised that with a bigger patty for their burger, it still fit the bun and neither was way to big or way to small.
We kept it simple and didn’t get too crazy with the order and customizations on the burgers but they did forget to omit onions from my girlfriends burger, though this is nothing that wasn’t easily remedied.
Given that we had read some of the reviews, I was a little gun shy with the amount of pink in my burger, but it was warm and definitely a good tasting burger. Was a bit disappointed with the amount and quality of fries that come with the order.
Decent place to grab a burger but I have a hard time understanding why people say that this place is better than Five Guys Burgers.

Great Burgers, the medium is huge and very tasty. They will cook it the way you want. The Medium rare has so much added flavor. Combine that with delicious sweet Potato fries and you can’t beat his place. I tried the chili and am totally hood. Great job to the hostess Laura.
I’ll be back again and again!!!

We were really excited about trying Brown Burger out after reading all the fantastic reviews. I ordered a regular size burger (which is actually pretty large!) and onion rings while my husband ordered the 3 pc fish basket on the recommendation of the cashier. We didn’t have to wait long, and were excited to dig in, but we found that everything was just… meh. The burger was good, but not great and they fried the heck out of the fish, making it dry and tough.
The staff was nice enough. Apparently, it got a new owner 4 months ago and we heard so much conversation about that while we were eating that it made us wonder if the food might have suffered from the change of management or if it was just an off day. Either way, we didn’t experience anything extraordinary that would make us want to give this place another shot.
