Could this be the best restaurant in the country? It gets my vote! Ask for Debbie’s table and order the Salmon Wellington.

Amazing crab cakes and fun friendly boozy crowd greets you for a quick bite at the bar. Tucked away but worth the effort to find and worth revisiting to dive deeper into the menu b

My husband and I made reservations at Jimmy’s based on prior reviews. We called one week ahead and had no problems getting a table. We started with the grilled oysters and they were one of the best dishes we had while in Ptown. For our entrees we chose the BBQ Spare Ribs and the Scallops Piccata. The ribs were just ribs. Good but not particularly special to Jimmy’s. The scallops on the other hand were delicious and perfectly cooked. The service was phenomenal and the atmosphere was nice although the tables were very close to one another. Overall, we enjoyed our experience and would go back if we were in the area.

In our opinion this was the best restaurant we went to in Provincetown. One of us is a vegetarian and the other is not. This place did a great deal of catering to both sides. Their vegetarian entrees and appetizers required a great deal of thought and were very unique and delicious. It wasn’t like many restaurants where the vegetarian option is a plate of steamed vegetables. The drinks were inventive and the service was absolutely exceptional. The wait staff and the owners are incredibly nice. This is a place that will not disappoint you.

One of the best steaks I have eaten, the pepper sauce is divine. Wonderful service and delightful small restaurant makes this a must if you visit Provincetown.

I love Jimmy’s. Everything I’ve had there has been wonderful, but for some reason I have a strange(and probably unhealthy) obsession with their(don’t laugh) buffalo tofu wings. Yes. You read that correct. They’re awesome and now I order them every time. Friendly staff, cool atmosphere. Love it!

Love Jimmy’s Hideaway and Jimmy is awesome! Came here for dinner two years ago and I honestly don’t remember too much but I know it didn’t blow me away or I would have been back for dinner and I have not. What has blow me away the last three times I’ve been back are the drinks, desert, intimacy of the ten seat bar, and Jimmy’s well versed and seasoned skill at the bar. Jimmy is a bartender in its purest form: he’s a master craftsman of cocktails and conversation. You have to try the expresso martini, amazing. Jimmy usually has a cocktail on tap and another liquor being infused with something random that you can blend with anything. The bread pudding is unreal, don’t bother getting anything else and you’ll definitely want your own.

We just enjoyed an incredible birthday dinner here! It was my husbands 40th birthday and it was on a friends recommendation that we come here. We are so glad we did! We started off with complimentary hummus and bread that was so flavorful. Then we had the mini beef wellingtons, so tender and yummy! I had the statler lemon chicken with smoked Gouda bread pudding and it was incredible! The chicken was juicy… The bread pudding was the perfect side to go with it. My husband was cutting his delicious filet mignon with a fork! Truly fantastic! Our drinks were strong and tasty. The service was fantastic. ask for Debbie! She was phenomenal! We met the owner Raife .such a nice man. They presented my husband with a to die for lava cake and even sang happy birthday! They went out of their way to create a truly special evening for us! We can’t wait to go back!

My review is belated but — literally one of the best meals I’ve had! I went with a group of four and we all have different tastes and we all loved our meals. The place is super cozy but not over crowded. Two of us had the Filet including myself. I’m super picky with my steak and to be honest didn’t have high expectations. It was AMAZING. We both loved it. Cooked perfectly, the accompaniments were delicious. One friend got the chicken, he loved it and another devoured a seafood plate we were all super satisfied. The drinks were great as well, the cosmos had a nice bite! Just make sure to make a rezzie during the busy season!

I go to Ptown multiple times a year, and can’t believe I didn’t try Jimmy’s until this past summer! A few friends and I were able to score a reservation, and the meal was so delicious we were bummed we weren’t able to make another for the next night! This place is tucked away next door to Bubala’s. Dimly lit, and small, but a cute/cozy atmosphere. Our server was great, especially considering how busy it was. I’m a huge seafood fan, so the French Citrus Bouillabasse was a great option so I could enjoy all of my favorites. The portion’s they give you are huge, I was lucky if I ended up finishing half of my meal. My friends were equally satisfied with their entrees.(One had the Filet & the other had the Chicken breast.) I will definitely make Jimmy’s a staple restaurant for my future trips!

I went here with my boyfriend for my birthday on September 18th and made a reservation for 9PM that night. It was unusually hot in Provincetown(90some degrees STILL at 9PM), but the AC apparently wasn’t on in the very back of the restaurant. It wasn’t that bad for most people, but I run hot anyway so I was sweating. My boyfriend asked if they could turn it on(we heard the people next to us comment on it as well) and the response we got was«Yeah… someone complained about that earlier». I would have thought that you’d have turned it on when the first person complained, but whatever. Despite the bit of snark from the waitress, the wine and meals were delicious and I’d try it again when it’s a bit cooler :)

We had a lovely dining experience but it was much more about friends then it was about food. We started off with the beef Wellington appetizer which was very good(not great) then I had the salmon Wellington which was good(C+) but lacked the rave factor and the salmon was a bit dried out. The scallops that 3 people ordered didn’t have anyone cheering or up doing a happy dance. All in all we had a good experience and would probably go there again. Overall 4 stars.

Located just past Bubbula’s on Commercial… this small tavern/restaurant is a local favorite. Jim and his partner run a friendly establishment with a varied drink and food menu. I got the Bouillabaisse over rice and it was light, delicious and full of nice pieces of large seafood. My BF got the Caesar salad and he enjoyed it very much. Our friends Bob and Cori got the ribs and they looked moist, tasty and they were falling off the bone. Service is friendly and attentive. The tables near the bar can be loud as people at the bar can get a bit rowdy sometimes… overall a nice choice in P’town.

My friend and I had an exceptional evening with first-rate service from our attentive — and adorable — waiter. We were greeted warmly by management and all staff after we arrived a few minutes early for our 10 p.m. reservation. It took a little time for food to be served. By the time appetizers arrived I had forgotten we ordered them and my mind was on the main course. The Tofu Wings were absolutely delicious — a very intriguing spin on classic bar food — while my friend greatly enjoyed the Mini Beef Wellingtons. He raved. Another customer said he orders that«every time» he comes to visit. My entrée was the Lobster Fra Diavolo, a special. The lobster was succulent and plentiful, and I appreciate the chef’s attention to detail. I greatly enjoyed the dish’s presentation as well. However, even being someone who eats spicy food often and loves it, I found the dish to be nuclear and not for the faint of heart. That octane level should come with a warning. A less suspecting diner would have been blown away. However, in spite of this we had a very special evening there and would definitely return to revisit. What a lovely establishment, not to be missed for the attention to detail and hospitality alone. Plus, I hear John Waters often dines here as well!, which is certainly a plus.

Oh my do I love this little spot of paradise. I spent a week in PTown with my girl and we visited Jimmys a few times. Very solid food and stiff drinks. What made it was after closing just shooting the breeze with Raife… what a great time and even better memories. I’m not sure about the general seating, but grab a seat at the bar… take in the scene… mingle…and enjoy yourselves…

Food was very good :-) Mussels appetizer was incredible! The only couple drawbacks were the service(very slow) and the Salmon Wellington was as described… Very blah and no real taste. Make sure you get the dill sauce with it to enjoy it. And make reservations…

Jimmy’s Hideaway is one of the best places to enjoy great drinks and fantastic food! Yes there are plenty of restaurants to choose from in Provincetown, but we have returned here every year in July and have never had any problems or complaints. And the food and service delivers! The line at the door is every indication, so either make a reservation or wait. The inside is quaint and tight, but relax and enjoy. We had a friendly greet, we’re seated and then our server Billy greeted and took good care of us. We started with cocktails(Bloody French Martini) and ordered the mussels. They were large, hot, and sitting in a great broth, which needed more bread to fully enjoy. We both had the spinach salad, which was dressed well and had nice blue cheese chunks to add flavor with the sweet dried cranberries. Since we have been here before we had to flip to see who would get to order the roasted Statler chicken with a corn dressing, then we also ordered the pork tenderloin with a mushroom sauce. Both entrees were delicious with flavor, and both meats cooked right and moist. Then desserts were the blueberry pudding and chocolate lava cake. Yum! Just that simple. Jimmy’s is a great place to drink and dine, we appreciated the good service and recommend it to everyone!

Always a great time at Jimmys. The atmosphere is dim and dark — perfectly romantic. Nice place to bring a loved one for a quiet evening. The bar is also available for seating if you’re not into planning ahead and making a reservation. Unfortunately the beef wellington was served cold to my friend, but they were happy to replace it with a fresh one — that he enjoyed a lot. I had the burger with fries, a little overcooked(for medium) but otherwise, very tasty. The bartender was very friendly and the crowd was upscale and classy. It was a nice warm location to hide from the brutal cold of December in.
