After reading other reviews it looked hit or miss, but for us it was a hit! All I can say is Prime Rib and Maine Lobster. The atmosphere brought me back to the 80’s, good times, beautiful views, and bring the kiddos

We are staying for a week at fisherman’s village resort and after looking through all the shops we stopped in for lunch. The waitress was very accommodating to our special diets and was able to substitute some sides for us. My husband and I split the coconut shrimp small plate. It was nice and crispy with a flavorful dipping sauce similar to chutney. We also shared the lunch special blackened shrimp salad with blueberries, strawberries, feta, and sunflower seeds. They plated that up separate for us without even requesting. Our friend had the seafood trio grilled(grouper, shrimp, &scallops) with a requested side of green beans and strawberries. The view was an added bonus and we saw a dolphin

I used to enjoy dining at the captains table but my last 2 dining experiences left our entire party disappointed. The menu is now limited, food was cold, salad bar considerably smaller, service slow and above all just looking very run down. I won’t be going back.

The sounds the staff at the Captain’s Table is just awesome. I proposed to my girl friend there last night and they went above and beyond to make it memorable for us both. The food was excellent also. We highly recommend the Captains table for your special occasion or just for dinner with someone special.

Unexpected find at Fishermans Village above Harpoon Harry’s. Excellent food and service by Richard. The grouper and shrimp were top notch. The view of the Harbour is spectacular.

Not only is this a great view but from the moment you walk in, you feel welcome. We asked for a table outside by the water and as soon as we sat down we were asked if we would like a drink. Cocktails were perfect. Waitress came over and we explained we had a vegetarian and she asked if there were other food restrictions or what I can eat. We told her and she went immediately to ask the chef. He came up with a few recommendations and I had a great dinner. My husband had a fantastic seafood dinner as well. They have a salad bar that is fresh and the desserts are good too. I recommend the key lime pie. Actually, I just recommend this restaurant hands-down.

Struck me as a tourist place with a lack of pride in its product. It’s in Fishermen’s Village, so it doesn’t have to try hard. The sweet chili calamari app was horrible, hardly any breading, swimming in sauce and the smallest calamari rings I have ever seen, no joke. My raw oysters were large, but not fresh tasting, very mealy, just horrible when you are staring at the harbor and eating crappy oysters. The Signature Flatbread had almost no prosciutto on it and it wasn’t crispy. My wife said her scallop salad was good, but it appears she was given the jerk scallop special, which she didn’t order, it was spicy. And they served tourist drinks, lots of mixer not much bourbon. VERY disappointed!

Our meal at The Captain’s Table was unexpectedly good! The wait was minimal, especially considering the amount of people at Fishermen’s Village today. We had several people in our party, and everyone loved their lunch: Among us, we had the Grouper Sandwich, the Coconut Scallop Salad, the Punta Gorda Pig Sandwich, and the Roast Beef Sandwich. My mother-in-law and son said the Roast Beef Sandwich was the best they had ever had. The Coconut Scallop Salad was an fascinating blend of simple flavors that I really enjoyed(and I’m pretty hard to impress). My 16-year-old son had the Punta Gorda Pig Sandwich and couldn’t even finish it, which is saying a lot since he eats like a horse! He actually asked if we could come back so that he could try some of the other things on the menu. We have been to the restaurant downstairs on several occasions, and it was mediocre. We were a little suspicious of The Captain’s Table since they are associated. However, the difference was night and day, and the price difference was minimal. Very well worth it!!!

We were at the Fisherman’s Village on a cool Wednesday afternoon. We were told to wait 45 min, but it was only about 25.(just enough time to get a round of drinks and sit outside for a few minutes) We sat inside and ordered after hearing specials.(we already had drinks). My father and I had the lobster grilled cheese w/marscapone. Personally, I feel it was one of the best grilled cheese sandwiches I’ve ever had despite being a little cooler than I would have liked.(admittedly, I ate the fries and coleslaw first; they were also very good). My mom loved her scallop salad(special of the day). No room for dessert! Waitress was super friendly!

Excellent. Great place to watch the sunset. We all had the Stone Crab Legs special The entire plate was covered with cracked legs. Sides of Yukon Gold garlic potatoes and green beans were served on a separate plate. Above average presentation, taste and service. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Went to Fishermen’s Village at the recommendation of some family members to check out the boutique stores there. Ended up at the Captains Table for dinner. Apparently they had just rolled out their new menu a few weeks earlier. Cozied up to the bar and the bartender told me that since tonight is Friday they have their long running all you can eat fresh seafood buffet. Being from the north the idea of a bunch of seafood laid out in a buffet sounded like stomach poisoning just waiting to happen. So, I ordered their Captains Chowder(billed as almost famous) and the Chilean Sea Bass… Now, I got up to go make my salad at the salad bar and immediately regretted not getting the seafood bar. It all looked super fresh!!! Oysters… Giant peel and eat shrimp… Several types of fish. Next time I’m down, I am totally doing the seafood buffet! That said, the salad bar was also delightfully fresh with several topping and dressing options. The Captains Chowder SHOULD be world famous… Creamy and lots of large chunks of seafood with a very slight sriracha kick. Hands down best I’ve ever had. Better than the chowder I had in Boston… No kidding. Then my sea bass arrived and after one bite I no longer regretted my order. The fish was cooked to perfection and the coconut thai sauce was a delightful sweet and spicy surprise! Overheard the couple next to me also sing the praises of the prime rib and a seafood selection plate as well. All in all, a definite must if you’re in the area!

Meh. My halibut on a cedar plank was overdone. For $ 24, I expected much better. Veggies and potatoes were fine but nothing to write home about. My wife’s scallops were excellent, but her grouper was also overdone. Salad bar that came with the meals was well stocked and seemed fresh. The best part of the meal was the chowder for sure. Creamy — but even that didn’t have much seafood in it. Great flavor. Perfect view right on the water… but they’re charging for the view, not for great food. I’m sticking to two stars because I’m going there for fish, not just a view and some chowder. Won’t be back… especially for the $ 60 we spent. Our waitress seemed annoyed at the hard of hearing members of the group… so she might be in the wrong part of the country waitressing if that’s the case…

Absolutely amazing. First time was fantastic. Second time, they actually went out of their way to make me something not even on the menu. I’ve never had better service or better food. Btw. We ended up here after going to jacks on Marion and decided to cancel our order after the HORRIBLE appetizer and caesar salad.

Nice location with beautiful view. Prices about normal for area. Duck was good a little dry. Filet good cooked well not fork tender as I expected. Need more spice for flavor. Salad bar weak Not much on it for fine dining restaurant. Service very good. Nice size bar. Outside seating nice with cooler weather. Will visit again.

20th wedding anniversary 6−23−15 My husband reserved our table, we were seated promptly. Our server was Bobby. Absolutely amazing. From the moment we sat down, to walking out, we had the very best time ever! They had an anniversary card on the table waiting for us with candles lit! The food was amazing, the service impeccable, and the view of dolphins in the harbor. How could you ask for more? I had filet and lobster, my husband had the rack of lamb, outstanding, we also had shot of espresso, with mango mousse cheese cake. Omg, sooo good!

The view was amazing, the staff was delightful but the food was just ok. I liked my meal(the captain’s platter) but it wasn’t something I NEED to go back for. But I’d like to give a shoutout to our lovely waitress, Margaret. She’s a doll!
