Ok– if you notice, there are 8 reviews that are not recommended on Unilocal for Fall Creek Cabins. They are all five stars with an exception of 1. So, in reality, these guys probably have 5 stars based off of 9 reviews not just my one. :) Let me just tell you, this trip down to Fall Creek was worth almost dying on the way down to Boone, North Carolina. Unfortunately, we had some real bad weather this past weekend and saw so many close calls with trucks and other cars that probably would’ve meant bad news for my boyfriend and I. As we were making our 14 hour trip(delayed because of the weather), I was really starting to wonder whether or not this trip would actually be worth all of the stress. Turns out, it was. The cabin was adorable. We stayed at Serenity Ridge. Cabin smelled amazing, was tidy when we came in, and was pretty well stocked considering. The area surrounding the cabin was beautiful and secluded. Some of the cabins are more secluded than others – something to keep in mind if you’re looking for privacy. There was a hot tub(amazing), indoor fireplace(double amazing), a dishwasher(totally handy) AND a washer and dryer. Gotta love it. We didn’t even leave the cabin except for once during our 3 night stay. It was such a relaxing area. A couple of tips if you’re planning a trip up there: The roads are steep. If you are planning on going in questionable weather, your small car may have some trouble making it up the mountain roads. Bring extra paper towels, toilet paper, either disposable or non-disposable silverware, hand soap, a better ax or log splitter, and definitely follow their tips and guidelines they provide you when you’re making a reservation. There is no ac, so if you’re going in the summer, prepare for that. Otherwise, this is an amazing little place. Boone is about 25 minutes away, and it’s a great little area to explore. There is only 1 liquor store in Boone and it’s called ABC Liquors. I will definitely return if it is ever in my budget in the future. :)
