I come here only because it’s close to my apartment.
I don’t typically like to do all of my grocery shopping here but since it’s a 2 minute drive, I frequent it often. If I’m making a large shopping trip, I go elsewhere.
The staff is always friendly though, which is a plus. They normally recognize me when I come in to get what I need for dinner — I would probably come more often is a safeway gas was close by & I could use my points.

You can cover the basics at this store that’s the only positive. The store is old and run down. Selection is limited and produce are typically low quality. To top it off it seems to be under staffed or poorly managed. It’s convenient for those in that area, only other option is Fred Meyer, and staff is decent.

My 24 year old son stopped at the East Main Safeway for some lunch supplies. After paying and walking out to his car, loss prevention stopped him and wrote down his license plate number. They accused him of stealing the groceries. He showed his receipt and the checked vouched for his paying for all of the items. They let him go without an apology. He later called the store to complain and the store explained that loss prevention is hired by a separate company and there’s nothing they can do. No apology! Our whole family will boycott Safeway from now on. They have lost some very good customers.

This old hag is not aging well. The bakery is puny and the cash registers are old. This Safeway needs a makeover!

Convenient.
Lots of parking that is easy to get in and out of.
Otherwise Joe F. said it perfectly, «Skip the produce, the meat and don’t go near the restrooms and the rest is almost tolerable.»

Horrible store. It’s dirty the bathrooms are gross. I came in yesterday to cash my wic checks for formula and the cashier glaired at me and was very rude the whole time roller her eyes and sighing. Not the first time I have had problems with the staff. If this store was not so close to where I live I would not step foot in it again.

I never know where anything is here. I never use it, only when I’m over there getting my pizza from Alfys and I need beer to go with it or soda.
Lot more space then the one on Meridian. A lot bigger. But again just not a big fan of Safeway.
Good location for that area, a lot of parking.
