The Gym Grill and Bar

This has changed ownership and is as it should be now, great American bar fare, cold beer and fun! So glad to have a local bar we can enjoy!

What a joke. Screwed up order multiple times. They just don’t care. And not sure why I chose to eat at a place called «The Gym «. makes me think of smelly people working out.
The food took forever and didn’t get checked on and there was only 2 other tables. I wish I would of read the reviews on Unilocal first. They were spot on.
BEWARE IT’S DISGUSTING INSIDE!

Third visit this week due to the location to our condo we noticed they are under new management and the table arrangement made the place look larger. They atmosphere was nice it was only a few people inside the bar. We decided to give a Unilocal review and immediately received a 50% coupon on Unilocal.We showed our coupon to the manager only to be told that they were being scammed by Unilocal and that they would not honor it. It is what it is we did have a good burger and hot wings! Because of the location and closest to our condo will will be back because the food was good however hope that the in management can do some improvements on perhaps the specials and the speed of service although our waitress was nice the service was just a little slow. Especially since they weren’t that busy.

This place seriously has the worst service. You can go in there and wait and never been greeted. This place is not that busy they should hire staff who can actually work multiple tables. Not only does the service suck they have messed up my to go orders multiple times. I would give 0 stars if I could.

The service we received here was great. The portions are great big sizes and they got our food out in a reasonable time. We had my 9 month old daughter with us and they were awesome. We didn’t make any request, but they offered us cut up apples for her and even brought out mashed potatoes for her. The loaded nachos are huge and are amazing (I usually don’t like nachos). I got the buffalo Mac and cheese and I loved it. My husband got the BBQ burger and he liked that, and their sweet potato fries are yummy. Everyone is super friendly here. Ask for Jennifer!

Excellent place to hangout and have some good food. Very good atmosphere. Definitely a place to checkout!!!

Their food truck was at the Ostrich Festival this past weekend. The food was terrible! My grandson’s hamburger was raw and we had to send it back twice. And they weren’t busy. They tried to overcharge us, the girl couldn’t add that waited on us. None of the food came out at the same time, french fries were really greasy, condiments weren’t full, and we saw a man return his $ 13 turkey leg and get his money back because he said it was terrible.

We were in town for a wedding and in true football fan fashion, my husband had to go watch the game. We Unilocaled this place due to the location and gave it a shot. Its pretty cozy, it was busy this day so we sat at the bar and the bartender was on it. She was busy but was on top of our drinks, condiments and food orders. Everything was really good and I was rather surprised for a sports bar but they know what they are doing, it was delish!

Great prices, great food, and good service. Nice selection of appetizers. Fun atmosphere. A must try!

Well, they’ve changed the menu up a bit, but still I really like this neighborhood bar and restaurant.

Food was ok. The service at the bar was great. She was cute and spunky with great personal skills. My husband and I enjoyed it there until the rowdy karaōke crowd started in and then it was like we were in a cheap Jerry Springer show. Won’t be going again sadly.

I enjoy drinking my Sprite and being with friends and family at The Gym.
I’m a regular so I always get a glass full of Olives from the bar. Sunday is Karaōke Night and is very AWESOME!

The worst… you think things will change… But its just bad! They always blame it on a new cook. If things were managed right with proper tools maybe cooks would stay so you could improve.

Visited for Pride Night (Sundays) and LOVED the Karaōke. We bought greasy appetizers and they were just what we expected. Hot, greasy, typical bar food, yum! The karaōke was so fun, and the staff was nice, too. The drinks were strong — you definitely get your moneys worth on them.

Close to home. Great spot for dinner and/​or a few drinks. Friendly staff. The bartenders are what makes this place shine.

Our love affair with the gym bar and grill has ended. Our favorite chef Jeremy has left after a dispute with ownership. My wife and i will miss his caring personality and dedication to incredible dishes! HE SINGLE HANDEDLY BROUGHT «THE GYM» BACK FROM THE DEAD! time will only tell if «the gym» will survive yet another setback.

Someone told me to try it, so I did. Good prices. Once I got her three servers checked in on me! Love that. My pulled pork was excellent and they went out of my way to make me a strawberry margarita which they don’t normally.

False advertising. RUDE

I’ve gone here tons of times and I’ll touch on each of those experiences. The first time was seriously great! I went with a friend and our two toddlers for lunch and the service was great. We went for an early lunch so we were basically the only ones there, the food was good, and they brought out toys for the girls afterwards. She specifically took me there to introduce me to the cheese curds.
The next several times we went, servers were nowhere to be found most of the meal. I ordered alcoholic beverages on quite a few occasions all of which were poorly mixed, and when I notified the server that I wouldn’t be drinking it because of that she just replied «oh». No refund, no remix, nothing!
We won’t be going there anymore because we go primarily for the cheese curds and they haven’t had them in stock for a month last we checked, so we started going to San Tan Flat instead where at least the servers can be found!
The wings are good but not good enough to sit through crummy service and horrible drinks.

Once they notice you the service is great! Good prices (even if not in happy hou (s))
New food menu coming in a couple of weeks the crab is really good, though.
