Denny’s

WHAT A JOKEEEEEE! Denny’s has always been known for mediocre food, and decent service. I don’t know why I continue to try Denny’s. But this one was a JOKE! Jordan was our waiter. He brought us water, barely iced and I asked for straws. 9:43 seconds went by with no straw had to ask a random employee to bring them. Then took our order very aggressively. Then brings our food, and has the complete wrong pancakes I ordered, and instead of realizing I’m right he just questions it… what customer service. So he brings me the right ones and they are half the size,
And missing the whip cream. And the quesadilla was cold, and missing it’s salsa. Such a shame.

For my work I have to travel 4 states & this BY FAR is the worst Denny’s I have ever been in. I’ve been here more than once, thinking it would get better.
Food is always cold; cooks are mouthy, loud, & rude. Place is dirty but restrooms are clean for some weird reason. Most waitresses have a major attitude; I thought they worked for TIPS!!!
Today I sat at the counter for 10 minutes with some short waitress walking by me the entire time. Then moved to the other side of the restaurant & No One even looked at me, needless to say I left.
Found a wonderful family owned restaurant on San Tan Boulevard — Go There!

Denny’s oh Denny’s where have you gone?!? You used to be so much better. I have always and I really do mean always loved Denny’s. Growing up we would go every week. It was our thing. Fast forward a little tad bit more than a few years later, and uuuggghhhhh what happened?!? Between the inedible and cold food, the high school softball team, and the waiter it was by far the very worst experience! Ya know when you take a family of five to dinner it gets pretty dliping expensive. You are celebrating hubby changing careers. It should be worth it. Ya no not even close. The girls up front we sweet poor things had to deal with the toolbag all night, we just had him screwing up our meals. Those girls are the only reason that you even got the two stars.

Last night I had called in and placed a to-​go order. Both simple meals with no special requests. I get there and I wait for a few minutes before I’m asked if I had been helped. I told her I hadn’t, and she tells me someone will be with my shortly. I look around and the place is a ghost town, 1 family, and a group of about 4−5…
I waited about 5 more minutes and I’m greeted by another girl who asks if I had been helped. At this point it’s clear the communication at this location lacks, and needs major improvement. So I tell her I hadn’t and she asked what I needed.
I tell her I called in an order and she asked what it was, so I told her. She then walked away without saying anything else. The First Lady approaches me and tells me I can sit if I want.
I sit, wait for 10 effing minutes, and the girl comes back up and goes «ummm, has anyone talked to to about the waffles?» So I told her no, to which she says «the waffle maker is broken. Sooooooo»
«Sooooo, what??» I asked… «Ummmm we can give you something else like pancakes or French toast» so I called my husband to let him know and asked what he would want instead. I get off the phone and just as I’m about to tell the girl we decided on pancakes, she walks away again! I’m pretty irritated at this point and just sit there waiting to see how long it takes for someone to come back. 10 effing minutes!!!
This time it’s a different girl and I tell her we’ll go with pancakes. She doesn’t say anything just turns around to walk away. So I stop her and ask if he rest of the meal is going to be cold because that has been prepared for quite someone time now and waiting on pancakes. She stared blankly and says «ummmm I don’t, like, know» and walks off.
I can hear her yell to the kitchen staff «she said to make pancakes instead» in this tone that I was the one inconveniencing them! By that time I was fed up, waiting way too long for a meal that takes 7 mins, and then treated as if I was the problem.
The 2^nd girl came back to the counter so I told her to cancel the order and hat I was going elsewhere. There was no apology whatsoever. She gave me this ridiculous sad face instead.
I’m just glad I hadn’t paid yet, because who knows how long that would’ve taken.

I love this place! Staff is great, very personable. They really do care. They are always getting A’s with the health department so they must be doing a great job!

Had a party of 7 and waited almost 50 minute while everyone else with parties of 2 – 5 got seated during that 50 minute almost 30 people got seated. Then we found out that the girl at the front desk gave put us on the wrong page. After asking multiple times she was oblivious to the fact that we had been there for over 30 min (at that time). After another 20 minute we finally got seated. Then we walk to our table just to find out that 5 or 6 tables were open that could have been pushed together. I’m not sure if they require a high school degree here… Gena the manager (I think) should have done a better job. Our server was great though she is the girl with braces.

The black girl (doesn’t have name tag) with braces should run this place really nice and prompt with everything.

Dirty Denny’s has cigarette butts all over the seated area in front of the door. There’s a can they are using too so it’s probably employees doing it. Management here should be fired. They don’t care at all about sanitation. Plus state law says no smoking within 20 feet and this is within three feet.

We stopped going to dennys. The service was ok and the food was always cold. The restroom wasn’t very clean.

Food was «Dennys «quality. The wait for the food was epic. 45 minutes for a simple breakfast!

They randomly pick and choose when they are not going to serve «to go» orders. Hate that they advertise something that they don’t actually offer when you want to use it.

Great food and service come here all the time, never had a bad meal or service. I will be coming back some of these reviews suck.

Almost an hour to get club sandwich which was soggy and falling apart and cold fries. Had to ask for each coffee refill.

The cooks here lack cooking skills on basic dishes. The servers are wonderful and do their part. Jennifer «Manager» only knows how to make excuses for her poor choices in her cooks. Ticket times are long, food on Sizzling Breakfast meals come out not sizzling! Wow! Way to go San Tan Valley Denny’s!!!

Bad bad bad Food!!! All the time I went there they never make a good food, hamburger bread cold, nachos almost plain, the eggs never cooked like you wants, REALLY BAD FOOD

Horrible food, sent food out cold… burger meat taste old and bad. Didn’t eat the food, asked for refund and the manager denied refund, she said DENNYS only gives food coupons instead… really! Charge back coming your way. The staff at this store is a joke. Cant wait for the other resturants in the area to open, this place will go out of buisness, maybe something worth going to will take its place.

We were a party of two… It took forever for a waitress to come over to us and there was only one other table in her section. Every time we asked for something, she’d dissapear for awile. I ordered a soup and she only gave me two pkgs of crackers. I asked for more and she told me that’s what comes with it. I asked for more, she brought me only two more… The chicken fried steak I ordered was gross, with a weird taste. All in all, I would never come back to this location.

Im giving it 3 stars because i personally love dennys food. But the particular waitress we had sucked. No napkins. No silverware. Forgot our pancakes. Walked around like it was crazy busy. Except their was maybe only 2 tables. I would hate to see them on a breakfast rush.

Was an okay visit. My eggs were undercooked, my iced coffee wasn’t cold and the waitress was too busy to even stop and ask how it was. But my daughter and I still enjoyed our breakfast for the most part!

Jan 4^th 2015. We decided to stop in after a long flight. It’s 12am and the place is pretty empty. Ok so I understand it’s maybe because it’s midnight the service is somewhat ok. So I order their new dish ‘Alaskan Salmon’ and gracious off course the fish is dam white to the bone. Obviously it’s not an Alaskan Salmon. Took a bite into it and it tastes sooooo NASTY! On top of that they burnt my garlic bread?! NASTY NASTY NASTY! I should have order egg wish I could’ve just walked out but then again it’s the New Years. Give it to Denny’s midnight crew to screw with my first order of Denny’s 2015. Maybe they’ll do better on our next visit but Salmon is out of the question!
