2012 saw the debut of Illogicon, «a community-​based convention dedicated to Science Fiction in all media.» The program includes panel discussions with notable authors, readings, film screenings, music, interactive creative workshops, a talent show, gaming, and more. Fans of steampunk, horror, science fiction, fantasy, comics, new media, and gaming should check this out.
The hotel is showing its age, but it’s adequate for this new, small con. I’d suggest adding microphones for the panelists, given the close proximity of the meeting rooms and the thinness of the walls.
Congratulations to Chris Hensley, Brandon Ulick, Chris Ross, Reesa Robie, and Warren Buff for pulling this off – hope it becomes a yearly event!
