Ordered the steak quesadilla! the flavor was good. Nothing really unique but it was fresh. I like the food but the price for me was a bit to high for the meal. 3 stars! Would come back again!

Extremely expensive for an average taco place. Not terrible, but I only go back because I live walking distance away. Biggest complaint — for a 12 $ chicken quesadilla I would expect more then a teaspoon sized side of sour cream.

This was my second time coming here. I’m pleasantly surprised with the shrimp tacos. They were great and the staff was very friendly. It’s so close to where I work and the service is prompt and you can sit in there if you want to just escape for a bit. Overall very happy. Only downside is I was confused on where to park.

Got a coupon for this place in a mailer, and was in the neighborhood, so we decided to try it. You order at the counter and they bring the food to your table. No frills. Hubby and I split the chicken quesadilla and the steak quesadilla. The chicken was supposed to be blackened per the coupon but wasn’t… It was okay overall, but just bland to me. I need spice in my life! The steak was the star of the show! Slowly braised, juicy, tender. I will come back for it! Oh, and Ill try the tacos too another day.

Not the most welcoming place. We selected it based on the reviews. There are about a dozen tables, and we sat down at one. The person behind the counter totally ignored us. Not even a hello. After about 10 minutes I went up and asked if they wanted our business, and was told we had to order at the counter, which I did. Returning to our table, we were expecting chips and salsa, which we found out we had to buy as well. $ 6.95 seems a bit steep for chips and salsa. It would have been nice if they had told us that more chips and salsa were included with our meal. That being said, our vegetarian burritos were pretty good and appeared to have fresh ingredients. Pricing seems a little high for what is basically a take-out business.

Absolutely delicious, fresh Mexican food! The fish tacos are heavenly! The guacamole is a dream! It’s a total find ! The place is so charming for a bite to eat, right in downtown Ramsey… but I did notice that they do deliver as well. My new favorite Bergen County restaurant!

This place is fantastic. I have been coming here for lunch for several months now, and it has never been a let down. In fact, it has always been a great time. I routinely orderthe«Once a brave chicken» tacos, which feature deliciously tender chicken which isn’t dry. For about $ 10.50 I can get those two tacos(which by the way are large), a side of chips, and a tortilla soup which is home made. The chips come with salsa, as well. The people here are friendly, the service is quick, and the food is great. It’s a great place to get lunch, chat for a while, and enjoy some fantastic quality food. Highly recommended.

Only local taco place around this area. It’s a bit over priced $ 9.00 for two tacos with a hand full of chips for lunch time. Total with drink and extra guac came to over $ 13. The pico was amazing! I had badlands taco and a fish taco. Fish just needed a touch of lime. Overall good tacos, just a little pricey. I’d come back though

Blackened chicken quesadea is my favorite while my wife always gets the beef tacos. We’ve never been disappointed here.

I think badlands tacos is a pretty good place, and the beef is pretty flavorful with a bit of a spice that you taste at the end. The tortilla is very big and floppy and tastes like uh tortillas I guess but the sour cream and salsa cups are super small like if you want to make people have a good time make the salsa cups bigger!!! Oh and just a tip: sit in the front be cause in the back its like 20 degrees in conclusion I give badlands tacos 4 stars

Boyfriend took me here many months ago since we were both craving for tacos. He told me he had been here before and their tacos were pretty good. Badlands has a little mini outdoor seating area. It’s quite cute. The inside dining area didn’t have a warm feeling to it. It was a bit small. It’s not a place where they have waiters and waitresses. its mostly you order at the counter and pay up front. Once your food is made, you pick it up and just find a seat. We decided to dine outside while enjoying the weather we were having. We ordered the fish tacos, the chicken tacos and the jalapeño poppers. The boyfriend bought the spanish jarritos grapefruit soda which he enjoys. Their tacos were pretty tasty. They weren’t salty nor dry. They were perfectly made. We deliciously devoured our order and left content. We will definitely be coming back for some more tacos to enjoy.

I’m giving this place three stars because their pulled beef was good… Not great, but good. I got chips and salsa and have no idea why the salsa they gave me was SO spicy. I just feel like the salsa restaurants give with their chips is usually mild. My burrito was completely soaked which means they likely wrapped it too soon after steaming it. The chips were OK but they don’t have that really great corn flavor I love. The rice LITERALLY tasted like dish-soap and the refried beans were bland and had a weird texture. Ortega refried beans are better. Nice staff, very clean… But the food needs some work.

Love there badland tacos. They make it not spicy for me all the time. Tacos are always delivered crispy with a great crunch. Only downfall is they charge you for every little thing if you want extra sour cream it’s $ 0.50 gac is $ 1.00 if you don’t want beans and want more cheese they charge you for that. Also wish they would put less lettuce on the tacos and a little more meat. Tacos come with chips and salsa and I would eat the salsa but it’s way to spicy for me. Also min of $ 20 for delivery and $ 2 fee for it. The taco salad is amazing and it’s huge just need add more dressing but if you want extra you will be charged for it.

Got the San Miguel Tacos and the O’Boyo con Pollo Burrito. Both were delicious, flavorful and made with fresh ingredients. Compared to the other taco spots in the area this is the place to go. Also very clean place with excellent and fast service.

We really wanted to like this joint, but just too many let downs and a more than moderate price point prevented that. Ordering was a breeze, even though the owner was distracted by an unpleasant guest grumbling about waiting too long for his food. For $ 38, here’s what we had: A vegetable burrito, served with tortilla chips and a side of salsa. Nothing amazing at all. Nothing. A vegetable quesadilla, also served with tortilla chips. Please see the photo, but the presentation was problematic in that the center of the dish was waterlogged as the moisture from the vegetables collected in the center, thereby soggifying the entire center. Not good. Worse still, the underside was burnt, not completely, but enough to affect the overall taste. Guacamole and chips — tasted good, creamy… but was missing my preferred additives of tomato, onion, cilantro, etc. If it was in there, it was chopped so finely that it couldn’t be detected or even tasted. A seltzer water and a regular water. That’s it. Almost $ 40 bucks. Not again, Food Lovers.

Solid lunch spot. You order at the counter, take a number and bring it to your table, when the food is ready someone brings it over. Today I went with the badlands tacos, which consisted of ground beef, sour cream, cheddar cheese and a whole lot of lettuce. It was an overload of lettuce actually, I scooped most of it off. The taco itself was delicious, had a good kick to it and lots of flavor. I also got a side of guacamole, which was good but I found the portion to be on the skimpy side. They had no problem charging me for it so next time cough up the guac Badlands. The food usually comes out quick but today there was a bit of a lag. If i remember correctly in the summer months they offer outside seating, which is always a plus.

I had been here a few times in the past while growing up in bergen county. I always remembered it being expensive and not large portions but figured I would go with my husband years later. It is just what I remembered — very expensive for what you are getting and the store is extremely cheap. They have signs up that say to take only what napkins you will use and when we asked for a to-go carrier, the host reminded us to leave the plastic bag behind if we didn’t need it. We will not be returning. Blue moon and chipotle are 10x better. I’m actually surprised this place is still open. I’m not trying to be rude to the owner — the food was ok, you just need to make it cheaper and stop with the constant reminders about your overhead. Also your guac was pretty bad.

First time coming to this spot and man was I happy to find this place, close by to college. Walking in the place is nice and clean. They have a great diverse menu with many options so we ordered enough food to satisfy two, maybe even four people because we wanted to try everything. The prices were very reasonable and each dish came with a side of chips and salsa. We had two orders of fish tacos, one chipotle chicken burrito and one bean dish which I can’t recall what exactly it was since it was her order. The fish tacos were amazing but they are fried so of you don’t line fried food, don’t get it but you’re missing out if you don’t try it! The bean dish was also amazing, I’ll update the review once I find out the name. But the chipotle chicken burrito was the pint downside, it was just way to dry, I think if they added some sour cream or other things it would be better. But I’ll be sure to try the other burritos too, I’m sure they are better. Overall, I had a good experience so I’ll be coming back again soon.
