They make you assemble the furniture… what is this place, Ikea? At least Ikea has low prices. Thanks for letting me pay for a chore Pier 1. You could have at least told me.

Just had a fabulous experience. Sales associate was very helpful and was checking availability of items online and offering alternatives so I would see all my options and buy exactly what I wanted/​needed. Fantastic customer service!

Very disappointed in the quality here. Cheap décor made to look nice. I guess if that’s what you are in to then it’s fine… But be prepared to have to replace items often.
One candle holder had a very small disclaimer saying for decorative purposes only — do not burn a candle! Wow.

I didn’t used to care for this store years ago, but it’s OK. They have some nice things, but their prices aren’t the cheapest. I bought a lovely mosaic wall art piece and I’m glad they had coupons going on at the time, which of course helped. They carry a nice variety of room scents. I LOVE the once called Island Orchard! The salespeople are not friendly nor offer assistance when I’m roaming the floor.

I came to this store for the first time with a couple of friends. (We were making the Thanksgiving Day weekend rounds to enter for the VW Bug –fingers crossed-​).
This store’s offering are a lot different than the other nearby location, the Montclair store, as I understand the Montclair store is a sort of internal Pier 1 «outlet» of sorts.
The store’s customer service was very friendly and the offerings were nicely varied, in the typical Pier 1 fashion. However, the Montclair store has more deals going as they seem to take the forlorn items from other stores on as stock. Personally, I like the Montclair store better as far as prices go, but this store has better merchandise in general.
Personally, I recommend going to both stores, but to start at the Montclair store, as sometimes they have things cheaper (or other comparable things cheaper), and then going to this store, as they have more selection if you can’t find what you’re looking for at Montclair.
