I see it gave 5 stars It was barely a one star based on the food

Looking for the Olive Garden and we came across the Old Spaghetti Factory. Funny how things just happens cause we were at OSF in Fullerton just a couple weeks ago. This one was a surprise so we decided to give it a comparison. Friday afternoon at 4pm was good timing, but too late for Lunch menu, even though we were handed one. No crowds, no waiting, quick service from Chris. We ordered two shrimp dishes one with thin spaghetti and the other with thick fettuccine noodles, and here is the rub. Clearly one chef has pride in his artful presentation on a genuine OSF plate. The other looks like he couldn’t give a hoot. I’ll let you be the judge by looking at the two pictures of our shrimp dishes below. The salads were also not as bountiful and some lettuce leaves were wilted or were affected by cold storage. The pesto ranch dressing was actually really good. Bread was nice to wipe the plates clean, but cutting hot bread just coming out of the oven is a chore. Food wise it is an OSF standard fare, service was quick, and the dessert of ice cream and spumoni tempered the strong garlic after taste. Would we come back to this OSF? Probably not because there are so many Italian food restaurants in the Palm Springs area to choose from.

The Spaghetti Factory is the Spaghetti Factory. They have a formula, and it never changes. Friendly staff, «pretty reasonably-priced» food, and if you’re lucky, you get full on it. Our server was nice, but the portions were small. $ 11 for a plate of spaghetti with«Rich Meat Sauce» which was quite watery and not at all rich. Disappointing. They should have brought more bread. The salad I had was just lettuce and dressing. I might go back sometime but I’d be sure to order something else. I should have gotten the soup instead of that dismal salad.

Terrible service waitress would take a long time to attend us. And the food has no flavor. Do not recommend at all.

I love this place, I’ve been to several locations around the United States. I always order the same thing, spaghetti with a double sausaging. The bread is super yummy and of course the soup is the best. Oh my god don’t forget the salads. Thousand Island dressing is good but the pesto ranch is the best. This is a newer location and it’s funny how they choose to build a new restaurant even though this city never had a train station or a trolly car system. Most OSF pick locations near a train station that had history in the city.

If you can find someone to wait on you good luck! I have eaten here a few times giving them the benefit that first time not to make a decision but I know my wife and I would never eat here again or any other Old Spaghetti Factory. The Portions are(TOSMALL) leaving you hungry walking out the door. No thanks and I don’t recommend this place to anyone $ 12 for a child Portions of food!

Came in on a Saturday and not really that long of a wait to get seated. We were a party of 15. The staff was helpful and friendly… other servers even helped out. We had fun, but I’ve definitely had better pasta. The fettuccine Alfredo had no taste… I had to put salt on it, and I never add salt to my food!

Mizithra Browned butter… say no more! This place has always been mega bang for the buck. Kids welcome, make a mess, knock yourselves out!

It was only ok. The salad was just iceberg lettuce w a few tiny grocery store croutons. The balsamic vinaigrette was good though. The pasta(spinach and cheese ravioli w marinara) lacked flavor and tasted frozen. I prefer the refrigerated Bertoli tortellini. The ice cream after was icy and not great. My fiancé got a chicken parm wout the pasta and he said it was good. He also got cheesy garlic bread w pepperoni and it was very tasty. The service was great and the atmosphere was beautiful!

Was shocked to see this place! Been too the one that use to be in LA. Been to the one in Duarte. Child of course wanted to try this one. Smaller than the two I’ve been to, but interior just as nice. Small waiting area inside, but seats outside. Free shared parking lot. Not to busy, so I was surprised how long it took for someone to take our order. Food just as good as the other places. Our waiter/server was good. If ever in the area again, I will be back!

I was torn between 4 and 5 stars, but ultimately the food was not 5 stars despite everything else about the restaurant being great. As all spaghetti factories are known for, the place has great personality and an awesome design. They started us off with delicious fresh baked bread which I must’ve ate 3 loaves of. I decided to get the Chicken Parmagiana, to see how the restaurant makes their version of the classic dish, and to be honest it didn’t quite live up to what I had hoped it would be. The actual spaghetti and sauce were both excellent, but the chicken — the highlight of the dish — was a bit dry and not supremely flavorful. Also, the portion of spaghetti was a bit small for the price. All in all, it was a great restaurant, great service, just not great food. Would definitely return.

Went here last night in Rancho Mirage. This place is terrible, took a waitress at least 15 minutes to come to our table after being seated. Coffee was cold, not enough sugar on the table. It took 45 minutes to get our food(how long can a lasagna and spaghetti take !). The salad consisted of a bowl of lettuce with shredded carrot. Caesar salad had tomatoes in it, which is crazy ! The food was horrible. Don’t waste your money here. Will never set a foot in this chain again !

Probably the last time we will ever go to a spaghetti factory. Very slow service from beginning to the end. Did not ask for drink and then once ordered waiter forgot and delivered at end of meal. Food is very average to below average in taste; quality and volume. waiter really could care less. In this area you really need to find a better option for both food quality and service. Maybe with little children and a huge mess this is the place to go, but for a couple there must be a better place/option

Price is the best thing about this place and the brown butter Mizithra! The bill was under $ 35 for four us– 2kids n 2 adults! The brown butter Mizithra spaghetti keeps me coming back– buttery noodles with a hint of flavorful cheese makes for a great combination! The problem is that everything else they offer is kind of «ok»! The Mizithra dish gets me to come back but that’s the only thing I come back for! Up the bar on other entrees and I ll visit more often!!!

Our group of nineteen Red Hatters had the best experience ever at The Old Spaghetti Factory in Rancho Mirage. The Manager, Trish, was so very helpful making sure that all arrangements were perfect. Our server, Jordan, went above and beyond in taking our food and beverage orders and anything else that was needed. He was always quick to help, was so very pleasant and polite and did everything with a smile. The food was delicious as well, and we will definitely be going back again.

The Old Spaghetti Factory is an institution! I mean I think we went to the Newport Beach location for my Jr. High graduation. It is consistently good, and still remains a very reasonable option for dining out. We decided to go to Palm Desert for the Fourth of July holiday(crazy right? Let’s go to Satans Armpit), and we had planned to cook outside, but it was really too hot out. I used my trusty Unilocal app, and called up the OSF. Yay! They were indeed open on the holiday. Off we went, and got us some good grub. I ordered the meat lovers special, which was spaghetti with meat sauce, sausage, and meatballs. My husband had the meat sauce and mushroom sauce. Both meals came with crisp green salads, and warm bread with garlic butter. Service was spot on, and very good. I know it’s a chain, but they really do a great job of maintaining quality.

I have dined here many times and always find the food prepared the same with great prices. The pesto salad dressing is most delicious The pasta is served«al dente» with plenty of sauce. The place is clean and comfortable with a beautiful bar. The service personnel are always attentive. My last visit, we were served by Michael. What an asset to this business. He took care of all our needs with such a great positive attitude.

I’ve been to the one in Sacramento. We were visiting from the city. My partner had never eaten here. Service was great. Our waitress Maria was friendly, her timing was perfect and checked on us enough we always had what we needed. I had the chicken parmigiana and he had the ‘Managers favorite’. Ended with Spumoni for me and vanilla for him. This place is very good.
