Redner’s Markets

I thought I liked Redner’s for its affordable prices but now not so much. The quality of the fresh meat is very bad. You have to purchase and cook the same day or freeze. The meat rots or start to smell after just a day in the refrigerator. In addition the selection is 3^rd grade at best. I am seriously considering going to Giant even though the food cost more.

Redner’s has a odd layout for a grocery store. The aisles go side to side instead of front to back. The shelves are stacked high like you are in a warehouse which I assume is one of the reasons the store is called Redner’s Warehouse markets. The store feels cluttered and dirty to me.
They don’t seem to have the selection that Giant does but they have good prices and the deli items are great and for that I give them 3 stars instead of two.
Parking can also be difficult at this store because it sits in the corner of the shopping center and the parking lot here is a bit awkward.
The Redner’s company is based in the Reading area and seems to be well-​managed. I actually used to work at one of their convenience stores… many, many, many years ago.
