Great atmosphere of a traditional Irish pub. Friendly staff and the bartenders pour a proper Guinness! I thoroughly enjoyed the corned beef sandwich. I’m extra picky with my corned and don’t order it many places. Good happy hour crowd but not crazy packed.

First visit to The Dublin House this past weekend. We enjoyed the whole experience. Hostess was on, good communication! Wait staff was great, and food was very good. Not a place to go if you are looking for quiet. Which is no problem on the right night. We are fairly new to the area, so it’s nice to add a place to our list. We will visit again.

I’ve been to Dublin House a number of times, and always enjoyed myself & their hospitality. One of my favorite traditions is; Christmas shopping at O’Ireland next door, then showing my receipt at Dublin House to get a dollar off the first pint of Guinness. Their food’s really good & the prices aren’t bad. Never had a problem with service.

Nice bar! Come here on a Saturday to hang with friends, you will have a blast! Drink prices are reasonable and they have a very good crowd.

I’ve been here a few times and I’ve always liked the food, drinks, and desserts. I was there last night to celebrate a friend’s birthday, and I was not very happy with the experience at all. The hostess sat my party down immediately, which was lucky seeing as it was a Saturday night and it was already crowded. The problem that we had was with the waitress. She seemed very reluctant to serve us(we were carded twice, once at the door and once again when we sat down). I totally understand if this is their policy, but being rude and trying to rush us out of there when we were celebrating a friend’s birthday most certainly isn’t. I understand there was a lot of us,(10) and having to split up the check ten ways is very annoying. They actually don’t do this; instead the waitress rudely explained that«we can all add our cards and she can swipe each one». This is why we made it easier for her, and paid with one card. I am willing to give her the benefit of the doubt, as I’m sure she was just having a bad night. Girl, I get it, we’ve all had them! Something to consider though: if I had not been to this place before and this had been my first impression, I would never return. Usually the staff is very friendly(at least in my experience), so I was surprised by their attitude last night. If you’re having a bad night, that’s okay but don’t take it out on your patrons. On a more happier note: the drinks were good as were the nachos we ordered. I’d still recommend this place but also ask the staff to keep in mind that the rudeness didn’t go unnoticed. I am giving this place three stars since my past experiences have been nothing but enjoyable. I hope this rudeness was just due to someone not having a good night, and I hope this waitress cheers up soon!

I love this place at night but during the day we had terrible service. The waitress brought me my drink with a chive in it… told me about the chive… And then said she didn’t want to stick her finger in it to get it out but recommend that I should. Disgusting. And all the waitresses seemed to have an attitude. I would recommend going at night but not for dinner or lunch.

Just had a drink no food. The place was packed this sat night. Super cool outside bar. Worth a stop. Very very very mixed crowd. Hella noisy. We were lucky enough to snag a seat at the bar and we had some dranks. No complaints. Typical scene. 30 something bartender hitting on the 22 year old Kind of beat pack of girls. Yada yada.

The food and service were really disappointing. This is more of a drinking hole than a restaurant.

I had a baked Avacado, it was AMAZEBALLS but not as filling as I would have liked for a $ 14 entrée. Still the service was great! My server’s name was katie or stephanie or something, but she was awesome. great atmosphere too.

Good beer, nice place to dine outside in the warm weather. The fried mushrooms were a bit blander than expected, but that’s really the only non-positive thing i have to say about the food. I’m sure there are better places for the money in Red Bank — but it’s solid entry to the restaurant scene — you could do much worse!

Felt kind of ripped off, to be honest. The buffalo chicken tenders were okay as a starter but kind of sickly after a while. Then the mains came… they were so mediocre. The chips were fine but I had the teriyaki chicken panini. The chicken was thin and tasted like it had been microwaved, the rest of the panini was just soggy onions which I didn’t eat. My girlfriend got a chicken wrap and this too was disappointing, stuffed with so much lettuce that it overpowered the chicken and was pretty bland. Only good point were the beers. I asked the server which beer he recommended and I went with his recommendation, but it turned out to be $ 7. I feel like that was why he recommended it. When me and my girlfriend got the bill we were shocked as it was one of the most expensive meals we had out on our two weeks in America(one of which was spent in New York), but one of the worst. This place is overpriced, and the food is bland. Come to drink and enjoy the garden at the front, but eat somewhere else.

I will never understand the infatuation everyone has with Dublin House. Maybe it’s just a great location and a classic Irish bar. It’s really the only Irish bar that makes sense in most cases. You have to discount Walt St and Brannigans primarily because the location is too inconvenient for most or the crowd is too salty. There are very specific times that Dublin House becomes acceptable: * When my Irish grandmother visits. She absolutely refuses to eat or drink anything from anywhere that doesn’t appear to be patently Irish. * It’s a nice temperature out, and the back patio is open. Now, that’s a nice spot. Along with Jamian’s it’s really the only outdoor bar that I can think of. * You’re going to dinner with(older) family who have heard from someone they worked with that the Dublin house had«great food and great atmosphere.» If you need a short history lesson, before there was Unilocal and smartphones, people traded crappy recommendations via cubicles and copper phone lines. Many still do this. Anything worth visiting certainly had«great food and great atmosphere.» In this case they will want to sit in the front patio of Dublin. Nothing could possibly happen that will cause them to be unsatisfied with their experience. They will pass on the same exact recommendation to another friend or coworker. Here’s how it really is: I’ve never walked away from Dublin with a memorable food experience. It’s really the social experience. If you don’t mind forgoing a good food or beer selection elsewhere, standing around outside on a warm summer night with friends can be great. Finding yourself reacquainting with people you had hoped you would never see again after high school can be another memorable one. But as for food, forget it. Go to Dish if you want good food. Or Trattoria. When you’re in Red Bank to socialize, then it’s okay to go to Dublin.

Not the best choice for us tonight in Red Bank… we wanted something more after the Oysterfest but it took a while for waitress to take our order even when i mentioned we needed more time I didn’t mean come back 15 min later. Fish n Chips 1 – 10 I’d say 4, because fish breading was soggy and weirdly creamy ’

I want to live in the Dublin House. It’s Disney’s Haunted Mansion meets a traditional Irish pub. On summer weekends, the place is jammed both inside and outside, though they somehow manage to keep the tables turning without seeming to rush anyone. You can do that with a restaurant of this size and scale. The food varies, from ok to a little-better-than-ok. I ordered my first burger in over 10 weeks here the other day because they looked so good. Cooked with a nice burny char on the outside, these burgers make you feel like you’re at a barbecue. Unfortunately, my request for extra-medium-rare went unfulfilled. The burgers here appear to be cooked to a solid medium at minimum. We started our meal with nachos which were pretty standard issue, and not much different than you’d expect at a TGI Fridays. But the shepherd’s pie did stand out — it was very good. I like a rich, hearty gravy and this delivered, making up for the fact that they only use ground beef, and not lamb or a blend with lamb like I’ve come to expect. Service was also surprisingly spot-on given how busy the place was. I liked the Dublin House because it really does transport you out of Red Bank and into a very authentic-feeling Irish pub and restaurant. I’d love to come back here without the fam and do some damage with my boy, Marc N, who’d probably love this place too. What we wouldn’t love is the UberX cost back to East Brunswick or the hangover the next day.

My friends had their wedding rehearsal dinner at the Dublin House recently, and they did a great job with our fairly large group. We occupied the entire second floor between the dining room, bar and buffet area. We started with a very large display of fruits, veggies and cheeses. I could have been entirely happy with the cheese selection alone. They had brie, goat cheese and many others. There was a decent variety of crackers as well. We had the option to go up to the bar for beverages or the server would take our order and bring the drinks directly to us. For dinner we had a standard, but solid buffet. There was a carving station, pastas, fish, salad, rolls and a few other items. The penne vodka with chicken by far stole the show. I had to go back for seconds on that. For dessert there was a variety of cupcakes, cookies and pastries. Again I think the service did a great job with our large group. I never felt neglected but they weren’t in our face. They let the bride, groom and families take care of rehearsal dinner business without rushing them through. To top that off, the restaurant was adorably Irish themed. The windows were open and had a great view of the patio and the street. At one point it got really chilly, but they were able to accommodate by closing the windows and turning off the overhead fans. I’m not in the area often but based on my positive experience, I’d come back for a standalone visit.

I am absolutely in love with this place. Especially for the outside. The outside makes you feel like you’re in Ireland or ancient greek times. the architecture is really adorable and draws you in. The place is huge, about 3 or 4 floors with a bar and seating on every floor. The main floor is way too packed tho. I don’t think everyone knew there were multiple floors. The top floors say table service only, but off to the side are bars. Anyway, i prefer to sit down and drink and eat anyway rather than constantly be bumped into. Plus side about upstairs are plenty of space, and of course clean bathrooms. It took awhile for us to be served on the second floor – we switched waiters half way through, our guy was a bit confused and lost but otherwise it was good. i ordered a house salad $ 5, and it was a great size. There was a really good dressing that came with it. Beers are reasonably priced and so are drinks. much cheaper than bars up in north(er) jersey. *get the apple pancakes in the dessert section! these were amazing, about three crepes(not pancakes people). with an apple pie filling. drizzled on top was omg… melted chocolate and whip cream. i am in love and $ 6* my friends got wings and soup and idk some other meaty nasty things. overall everyone was content. the place is super cute and nice.
