Papa John’s Pizza

I am rating this store as a 1 star because of the way their drivers repeatedly run the stop signs in the surrounding neighborhood with reckless abandon. Just two days ago a young white female in a silver VW Jetta was a good 2 stops behind me and before I got the next stop sign on Blossom (heading south toward this stores location) she was tailgating me. Without speeding and running stop signs she could never have closed on me like that. Then she proceeded to roll right in behind me after every stop we encountered after that. The only reason she stopped was because I was in front of her.
If the owner of this store is ok employing people that risk the lives of the very people that order from his/​her store then they do not deserve a penny from that community. Not even via a carry out order.
Clean up your employees and hold them accountable to the laws of the road because you won’t receive any money until then. I will post photos of the vehicles I see with your company’s sign on it that run the stop signs. You can expect to see pretty much every one of your delivery drivers to have their car posted on here.

We got two (2) 14″ Large Sized Pizza’s, enough to feed and fill up six (6) adult men for $ 22.00, so that’s $ 11 per pizza and an avg of a meal under $ 4 per person, which isn’t bad @ 2 – 3 slices per person, with 2 toppings.
The service was fast and friendly, and as a «walk-​in» it only took about 15 minutes from the time of ordering to leaving with a fresh hot pizza.
Parking is easy here. There’s not a lot of seating inside, so this is primarily a pick-​up or delivery venue.

Went here to pick up my order and it was completely wrong. They went to make it again and made it wrong again! How the heck to do mess up pepperoni, Canadian bacon and pineapple! If I could give this place negative stars I would!

Love this location. Super nice employees and you pay for what you get. I ask and pay for extra cheese when I order from Papa Johns, and they never give you that extra cheese. This location actually gave me my extra cheese. They finished my pizza in a timely manner and it was delicious!!!

I’ve never received this level of customer service from any pizza restaurant. Anthony, the manager is hands-​down one of the most friendly and hard-​working people I’ve ever spoken with. Food is always great and he definitely makes it a five star review. Papa John’s is lucky to have him!

I can’t beat the convenience for this location — 1 block from my house. Couple that with their convenient ordering app and Papa Rewards — earn a free pizza for every 25 points — and this is who we call first when ordering pizza! Even tonight — New Year’s Eve, they’re open and ready!
Our pizza order usually doesn’t vary much — classic pepperoni and sausage — but sometimes we’ll add wings, or chicken poppers, or garlic bread knots or cheese sticks or… Every time they are reliably delicious, exactly what we ordered, and when I pick up or occasionally order to be delivered, the staff is always very friendly!
BONUS: I even had a great talk about choosing colleges for our children once with one person who is always so warm and friendly.
Leaving now to go pick up our pizza!

Ordered a pizza, they claimed they had no recollection of the order or the fact we gave them my credit card information. When asked to be compensated for waiting about 1.5 hrs, we were denied.

Close to my house! Pizza is always hot and fresh with a good ratio of cheese to sauce.
The people working there are always nice and friendly. There is some street parking in front but more spaces available behind… though you have to walk past the gym filled with people working out and lifting weights haha!
Something about the taste of papa johns is really comforting and this place does it very well.

I ordered late-​night on a Friday for delivery, and the service was great! The guy on the phone was very nice, and the delivery lady was friendly as well. I don’t think Papa John’s has the best pizza (the dough is too… doughy), but I was pleasantly surprised by this location’s service. And I appreciate having the option of late night delivery!

I have been coming to papa johns since they came to the Southbay. Last night I ordered a large cheese pizza like I always have. I got to the store and the man said that would be $ 16 and change. I said WHAT! I only ordered one I alway paid $ 7.99. He said we don’t have that special anymore. It will be $ 16.00 for a large cheese!!!
I will never come back there again!!!

I went to PIZZA HUT on Sepulveda ! Great pizza and price ! Two toppings large for $ 6.99! It was awsome! Actually it was cheaper and better then papa johns over all the years!

i love the service here! i order pick up every now and then and every time i walk in, everyone has such a great attitude and is so kind! and my pizza always tastes great and is done quickly :-) but what stands out to me is how fantastic the service is here

Been ordering from this Papa Johns for many years and never had a problem until tonight. We ordered a pepperoni pizza and bread sticks. When it arrived we carried it in the house and put the boxes on the kitchen counter. The two boxes were incredibly greasy, something I’ve never seen before. We opened the breadstick box and it was full of butter sauce. Dripping with butter sauce. The breadsticks were practically swimming in butter. It was so gross. We had to put the actual box in the sink cuz it was leaking so bad. When we opened the pizza box it had butter sauce all over the pizza that leaked through the breadstick box. Then we found a trail of butter sauce on the hardwood floor from the front door to the kitchen. It was so gross. We called to complain and they just said «oh, sorry». We demanded a refund. I’ve never seen anything like it, not to mention the huge mess in my kitchen and my floors to clean up.
Papa Johns was always my favorite. Not so sure I’ll be eating there again.

Since I last Unilocaled about this Papa John’s, which has been a little over 3 months, I must return to say that it makes me happy spending money at this establishment. The employees here are courteous, respectful, happy, conscientious, and display the type of teamwork which other establishments should model after. It helps very much that their pizza is good quality, reasonably priced, and you get deals both «on line» as well as exceptional customer service when you chose to «call in». Personally, I like calling in because it is more efficient and they know my family well.
We like our pizza simple and to the point, good ingredients, good crust, good people behind the product, and friendly service are all which keep us coming back week after week. Tempted these days to try their latest addition: The Philly Cheese steak pizza; may be this week is the week. Will write about it next time.

Usually don’t eat pizza on a Sunday, but hit the fashion district earlier and spent longer time shopping than planed, so it got late and my options were limited. Any who, I called this Papa Johns and had the wonderful opportunity and pleasure of speaking with Elena! She was so awesome! Very patient and thorough! Even repeated my order back. The delivery guy was swift and on time as well! Awesome service !

Watching football this afternoon and saw one of the ever present ads for Papa Johns. Decided to give them a try and ordered the advertised Meat Lovers. Got home and found I got a pepperoni and sausage. I called and was told I got the ultimate meat, which they say I ordered. I know what I ordered and what I got. Papa John’s is a rip off, there’s lots of pizza places don’t get ripped off. Pizza is only mediocre, hate to think how bad it could be without those «better ingredients».

I’ve purposely avoided Papa Johns because of the the company owner’s political views in particular, and this outlet in specific, but I have to say that the propaganda on the TV commercials IS true about better ingredients. I bought a pizza there, and compared to the other pizza places in, and around the Southbay, I was very impressed. even the crust was good. Prices were competitive, especially if you use the promo codes. And with most pizza joints, don’t drink the Kool-​Aid! (overpriced soft drinks!) $ 3 vs .99 at Albertson’s a couple of doors down.

For a Papa John’s this place is pretty darn good! Usually, at other Papa John’s, I’ll encounter bad pizzas which leads me to dealing with customer service (the manager). The manager at the other PJ’s end up being machismo, unsympathetic and do nothing more than arouse my contempt. One location rep told me not to expect a picture perfect pizza! That’s not the case here. The pizza ends up coming out picture perfect and delicious! This place reminds me of how these establishments are operated on the East coast. Thus, I haven’t run into problems with management so I can’t comment on any other aspects of customer service.

I walked in this morning to order some pizza for my child’s preschool party. The girl at the front was very accommodating and told me to pick up my order before the party. She let me borrow a heater bag and gave me extra napkins.
The kids loved the pizza. I was happy everything went as planned and the pizza was ready as promised.

FUCK NO, THEY DON’T HAVE THE BEST SERVICE HERE.
Delivery is fine, but every time I go for a carryout order, they give me excuses and delays that I’m not supposed to deal with. Last time, I ordered online, and clicked «cash» instead of credit card. My mistake. When I go and pick up my pies, and ask if I can pay with my card, the senile man at the cashier has a shitstorm, and tells me to pick the right option next time. Fine.
So today, I brought cash, a $ 50 bill. Because I marked «cash» online. The same, senile fart looks at it and goes, «I can’t take that, we don’t have change.» I tell him that it’s all I have, and he just shrugs and goes, «Sorry.» Then he brings it up a notch and totally freaks out on his coworker about not having more cash; literally, he snaps and loses his shit, yelling like an ass. I wait 30 more seconds, and it turns out that they have more cash. Did I really need to go through all that shit?
The pizza is fine, but whenever I deal with this stuff, which is more often than not, it stresses me out, and I don’t feel like eating pizza anymore. I only give this 3 stars because I feel incredibly bad for the skinny Asian kid that gets the bullshit that his coworkers give him.
