Was in the area and passed by this place so decided to give it a try. its a really tiny place, and only one lady manning the place. cooking and cashier. i hate to imagine what it’d be like when it gets really busy. even just me, it took about 10 minutes to finish the food. some other kids came in and they ordered sopes, but they ran out, so she went and made fresh ones. take notice she’ll also give you a big dish of tortillas and not very spicy salsa. The al pastor taco was good, flavorful, and tender. the lengua, like most places, was too done and lacked flavor. so stick with the al pastor. the beans and rice rocked, but again im here for the tacos, so with so so tacos comes a so so price. 2 tacos +rice beans and good service comes to about 5.50. i think ill stick with my three bros tacos.

This is a great place. It’s small, but nearly all of the food that I’ve had there has been great. The tacos are good. .. the quesadillas. .. the sopes. .. the menudo(only on the weekeds). .. it’s all good. The only thing that I did not like that much was the torta I had, and only because it wasn’t mexican bread. Another great thing about this place is that the ladies who run the place are awesome. The first time I went there my card didn’t work and they were super cool about it. They let me walk down the street and get money from the bank without making a big deal about it.

this used to be El Burro Crazy back in the day run by a guy and his Burro mascot. It’s now a couple and their daughter serving up some solid Mexican staples. Décor actually hasnt changed too much though it’s been cleaned up a bit. Good tripas, lengua and pastor tacos for 1.15−1.50/per. They also have a good selection of aguas frescas in which the hibiscus was solid.

My coworkers LOVE this place, so I was surprised that it wasn’t on Unilocal yet. Perhaps because it’s El Jarocho No. 2, and No.1 always overshadows it? I forgot that everyone raves about their al pastor and ordered the carnitas instead. Probably a mistake. They made my burrito to order, but I think carnitas by nature are not meant to be reheated, so the meat came out a little stringy for my liking. The burrito was also a little messier than I like my food, which I wouldn’t normally mind, but that day I was eating at my desk, so salsa everywhere…(okay, I digress). They also have your normal selection of drinks and chips(horchata, jamaica, jarritos, chile y limon…) and seem to be pretty popular with the locals. All good things. For me, the main thing going for this place is that it’s within throwing distance of my building, but I’ll definitely go back to try the al pastor.
