Been coming to this gem for years. Awesome pasta, delicious pizza, and the best, most«garlicy» garlic bread you will find. Lucia’s is a winner.

Lucias is a great carryout italian place. I say that because all my dine-in experiences have been less than satisfactory. Either the food takes forever or it is simply just not good. What I will vouch for is that they have excellent calzones. Probably the best in Redwood City. The pizzas I have ordered from them are also okay. They seem to be a bit hit or miss at times. If you want a calzone I recommend the all meat calzone. It is ginormous and packed with so much goodness.

A one and only experience. From rancid wine that was«supposed to be sweet and sour because it is Burgundy…», to waiting for one pizza for 40 minutes to getting the wrong amount charged to my credit card(it was corrected, but yet again someone else was blamed) — I had high hope for a friendly neighborhood place and was totally disappointed. Pizza was actually American style, not Italian, but ok.

Very delicious, authentic Italian restaurant. Family type vibe, small but not crowded. They give you bread and butter which is nice! Big plates, reasonable prices. I enjoy the pizza and pasta, haven’t tried anything else. Friendly service, too. Definitely a place worth stopping by.

I love eating here. Being an East Coaster it’s been hard for me to find real Italian food and this place is legit.

Always a great place for a pie! Hubby and I been coming here for years and it’s such a nice family place. All of the specialty pizzas are good but we like to make our own with just cheese and pesto and red sauce mixed together or pesto as a topping. AMAZING and simple. I have also enjoyed the pasta dishes(penne pasta, raviolis, tortellini) in either pesto, Alfredo or meat sauce, and baked lasagna.

After receiving their soft, doughy, freshly sliced appetizer bread, they immediately won my vote and it gave me the impression that I’d also like their food so I decided to pay the price for a full meal(Eggplant parmigiana was $ 17 including side salad, veggies, and penne) and even would have paid more for it if I had known how good and plenty it would be. Their bread is outstanding which I think is one of the most crucial pieces to whet the Italian appetite. The restaurant is small in size like most small Italian restaurants, but it was not at all tight for space to serve. Most of the kitchen is viewable and far from the restroom, they offer vegetarian options, a warm and welcoming and laid-back environment, and is appropriate for family-night or date-night. Parking is limited. I will return to eat here again.

Have been here several times and will keep going when we want a relaxing Italian din-din in a nice, casual atmosphere. Sometimes the service can be spotty. Sometimes the pizza doesn’t have enough toppings. But generally, the food is very delicious. Especially like their pastas and eggplant dish.

So I called on 7⁄22 to make a reservation for Friday 7⁄24 at 6:30PM because on Unilocal it says that this establishment DOES take reservations and I didn’t want to show up with a party of seven and have everyone waiting to eat. I proceeded to call around 4:37PM and was told by a girl IMMEDIATELY, who sounded like she hated her job, that they DONT take reservations. Then I decided to call back later and spoke to Joe who said he would«do me the favor» and take a reservation for my party of seven, because I’m not brining you business or anything I guess? Mind you, I haven’t even eaten at the restaurant and I’m already being treated like I’m a bother for brining my business to this establishment. Regardless of the fact I decide to still give this place a try since I had someone recommend this place and read the reviews. Overall this place is simply«okay» and the food isn’t TOO bad, crust is really thick on their pizzas and their pastas are okay. I noticed the staff just standing around attending other tables and simply passing by our table, WE had to ask for more water since we were being ignored. I also didn’t like how an older gentlemen with white hair who worked there was kind of a dick, asking him for simple things seemed to bother him and we didn’t feel the need to tip him a full 20% due to his attitude. Word of advice, if you want a tip then be attentive and kind. The servers here seem to lack attentiveness since they just stand in the corner watching you eat. I may come back, until then this place gets three stars.

Always a good experience here. We have visited Villa Lucias quite a few times now and it is consistently good. This is your traditional spaghetti and meatballs type of restaurant — not fancy, but tasty and filling. I really like the meatballs. I get that with garlic bread and have plenty for lunch the next day. We’ve also tried some of the baked dishes and a few other pasta dishes. Still haven’t tried the pizza, but it looks great too.

I enjoyed the ravioli with meat marinara, comes with full sized fresh crispy salad, choice of salad dressings: italian, blue cheese, or oil and vinegar. The ravioli’s were pesto filled and cooked al-dente and had a nice ‘bite’. It’s a generous portion. Just $ 12.95. They start you out with some warm tastey fresh bread plus butter. They have Lagunitas IPA, Stella Artois on tap. An IPA was summoned and promptly delivered. It was served cold. My friend enjoyed her rigatoni with broccoli florets. Customer service: did have to ask for a refill; but overall very good. The attendant would look our way, from 12 feet, every ten minutes or so. Bathrooms: ok Parking: fine. Good family value here.

The food here was sooo good!!! The only reason I couldn’t give it 5 stars was because of how noisy it was. I’m all for family establishments but maybe mention to parents to have their kids keep it down.

My boyfriend and I been here twice for lunch in the last couple of weeks and have tried 4 different things including pastas and chicken marsala. Everything we’ve had so far has been very yummy. We love the minestrone soup that is included with our meal along with the warm bread. We look forward to returning soon. Timing of food to table has been perfect, polite staff. We’ll be back for sure.

We always get the same thing… chicken parmasian and the baked tortellini special. Minestrone soup is perfect. Ceasar salad is good, I think they charge a bit extra though. We get ours to go mostly but have eaten there a bunch too. A bit pricey but we feel it is worth it.

As far as pizza goes, this is the best in the area in our book. Moving from SF& having easy access to amazing pizza like Tony’s & Za’s, we tried every local pizza place looking for our new go-to spot & this is it. Applewood’s(Menlo Park over San Carlos) is a close 2nd, but this is still better. & their house made vinaigrette is great too. I can’t comment on their pastas or any of their other entrees, never had them. Nor have we ever dined in the restaurant, we always pick up & take home.

We love Lucias! It’s our go to pizza place. We also like the pasta & meatballs, eggplant parm, and the bread is always great. The only reason I did not give this place 5 stars is because it’s a little pricey.

easily one of the best italian restaurants I’ve been into. Such great prices also. The pizza is excellent, spaghetti fantastic, veal is incredible and the tortellini alfredo is incredibly tasty. OOOOH all the food is always soo creamy an saucy. I love it all. The bread is very delicious too. The service here is great, everyone I see in the the place makes it a great experience by there great personalities. I had the minestrone soup and its also something I highly suggest. Definitely butter up that bread, stick it in the soup and enjoy. The bread and even the pasta was soft and soo delicious with every bite. Everything smelled soo great. Scent was soo strong I could smell it as she was walking to bring it to my table. This place has a great dessert menu too. I’d definitely suggest trying the ice cream pie. I love ice cream. I love this place, so does my friend Glenn and so do our taste buds. Definitely a redwood city staple that I hope never goes away.

I grew up going to this place and I think that counts for a lot. The service is excellent– so nice and friendly too! The bread is DELICIOUS! It’s right out of the oven and it melts in your mouth. The menu has a pretty good selection. The ambiance and how outdated it is takes a way a lot. I got the linguine a la Lucia which was pretty bland. I was definitely disappointed. All in all it’s a good place to just grab a bite but if
