Good donuts, but as others have said, the staff cold be friendlier.

I drove pretty far for these maple bars. And they were worth it. The maple frosting has a lighter, whipped consistency, in comparison to your typical maple bar. The owner was friendly, and if you’re up for it, there’s a great butcher in the same parking lot.

Doughnuts are great. However customer service skills are CRAP. The lady that helped me was disrespectful. Bought a dozen doughnuts. They Overcharged me for my dozen as it was mixed with cake(.95), bars(1.25), and fritter(1.95) doughnuts since they didn’t balance the difference in price. And tacked on a .35 cent card service charge I was unaware of until after charged. You would think that charging $ 13 for a dozen would be enough to cover a .35 service charge right? Id say it’s at least worth a try. BUT after my previous experience. I will never go back there.

Best doughnut shop I’ve found. The woman who was working there was very welcoming and the selection was great. It’s different that they have a sort of frosting on the maple bars rather than a glaze, but it tastes amazing!

BEST maple bars I’ve ever had! The dough was so perfectly fluffy and light. It made me think eating 10 of them in a row was possible… And easy to do. I wish we got a whole dozen of them instead of just 6. Also tried the cinnamon rolls that were topped with maple glaze and peanuts. So yummy. Will definitely be coming back here!

Great donuts but you have to get there early for a good selection. Somedays they sell out early and all the good selections are gone. The man who owns the place is very nice and is always friendly when I go in there.

I’m so all over the place about Chuck’s. I want to give them five stars so badly, but I so can’t. Here’s the problem: They have dynamite donuts. Should be a great thing, right? Wrong. They don’t have ENOUGH donuts and have crappy hours. We’ll continue to hit ‘em up if for nothing than for an apple fritter that we’ll have to cross our fingers in hope they still have available.

Yum! The maple bar is delicious! Soft and just melts in your mouth and the glaze is not overly sweet and tastes like it is home made. The combination of dough and glaze is perfect. Now if they add some bacon crumbles to the top — the sweet and salty would be to die for! Delicious!

Great coffee and fresh donuts. Favs are chocolate bar, maple bar The lady is very nice and always give me extra donuts when I go in late This is a super nice little donut shop. We don’t like that sugar that much and we all got addicted to the donuts here!!! Must try if you are new in the area

I do love the coffee and donuts here. I m more of a coffee person and resist sugar. However I love the donuts here that’s fresh and just tasty I used to buy donuts at qfc or Safeway once a while before. Now I only come here and pick up those tasty bars. The lady was super nice too

I can tell you the donuts that I wound up with we’re good but the reason for the 2 stars is I drove 30 minutes to pick up half a dozen apple fritters in my apple fritters were not there for me when I got there and they were sold out of apple fritters may be a positive sign for the product but I’m sorry A half hour drive to come up 0 does not rate a good review in my book

Always wonderful service here. Their donuts are to die for! I brought 3 boxes to the office. Next thing I know, my inbox was flooded with emails from co-workers asking where the donuts were from. My coworkers now know Chuck’s Donuts rock!!!

I go crazy for their Maple Bars!!! I always buy a half dozen or a little more sometimes. It’s so bad for you yet soo good. Every time someone talks about donuts I always recommend this place. It’s always best to call beforehand, because you may be wasting your time going there, they run out of maple bars quick! There’s a small fee for using debit/credit card but still worth it. The employees are nice and willing to work with you when they are trying to set aside some donuts on hold for you. To my family and I, they have the best Maple Bars in WA!!!

My favorite donut anywhere is a simple raised glazed donut but at Chuck’s, it is the maple bar. I was never a fan of maple bars in general, but the whipped maple frosting at Chuck’s makes all the difference. It is light and has good mouthfeel compared to the average maple frosting.

I’ve been coming here for years now. Something about staying up till 3 just for a donut run, makes the donuts that much better. Hands down the best donuts i have ever had in the Seattle area. They’re known for their maple bars! My personal favorite are the raspberry filled buttermilk donuts. They have the best texture. The perfect amount of crispiness combined with a cake like consistency. The raspberry filling compliments the way the donut tastes all around. I love Chucks

I use to be spoiled and get their maple bars all the time after church! And even after changing owners their maple bars are still amazing! The lady working behind the counter was super friendly and nice. They have a great variety of doughnuts. I have loved all the ones I have tried here! I especially love the price, I was shocked how affordable they were. I guess I have been going to some fancy, pricey places lately for my doughnut needs. I now have to go out of my way to get my chucks fix! But it’s totally worth it!

There’s something special about the maple bars here. The frosting is whipped and the donuts themselves have the perfect balance between air and substance. You can’t go wrong with any of the donuts here, trust me, I think I’ve tried them all in the past 6 years. Always fresh and always delicious. If you’re a fan of Krispy Kreme donuts that taste like air and sugar, then stay away from Chuck’s. You won’t know what to do with yourself here.

Chuck’s is a gem of the Renton highlands community. I grew up on their famous maple bars. Even the scent of freshly made donuts from the road brings me back to my childhood. So I may be a bit biased, but the shop certainly is an important part of our neighborhood and I think it draws people from all over the Puget Sound area. Something must be working! Donuts: The quality is probably comparable to Top Pot down the hill, but without all of the corporate-y feel to their marketing. Maple bars are definitely a must try if you’ve never been. I’ve been on a crueller kick lately. They make theirs on Saturday and they’re almost identical to Dunkin Donuts’ cruellers(if you’re from the east coast). Lots of variety otherwise if those two are not your type. Although really, you should give the maple bar a chance. Service: I’m pretty lukewarm about the service as are the workers about their jobs… Potential bummer: The hours! They close pretty early in the afternoon. Plan for a morning trip, especially if you are visiting on a Saturday. A few times I’ve come in to sold-out donuts due to soccer teams/moms buying dozens on those Saturday mornings. Lastly, bring CASH, because they charge a fee for cards.

First time visit. Photos of the maple bar brought me here. Couple working were friendly and patient while we figured out what we wanted. Some of these donut/desserts are HUGE!!! We got a dozen of things to try and sat down to enjoy. Several small tables make this an excellent lazy morning place to come eat donuts. They had fancy coffees as well. We took the last open table to enjoy. Oh yum. Cake donuts, but very tasty. The fritter and maple bar were excellent. We would return to try more sweets. Highly enjoyed our first experience!
