Del Taco

Never had a bad experience there! The food is always outstanding. BUT.. .they need to work on their drive-​thru. It’s too slow. Be sure to ask for extra hot sauce and napkins because unless you ask they will not usually give any to you.

They are understaffed. I parked and went inside and stood behind this fat lady with a walker who was asking the cashier guy tons of questions about the ingredients in the food. Then she orders something finally, and rifles through her change purse to dig out the money. Meanwhile, someone else could be taking my order. I went to the drive thru instead and of course, just as I get there, two other cars turn into the driveway ahead of me. It was another 12 or so minutes between the time I placed my order and got the food… again, because they are way understaffed. The food doesn’t ever stay very hot because they wrap it in paper and not in those thermal wraps like El Pollo Loco and other restaurants do. They’re kinda like Taco Bell in that respect. Looks like they’d hiked up their prices on just about everything too. Burritos there are not cheap anymore. Oh well. I don’t eat out much anyway but I had this gift card that I was trying to use up.

I am not a fan of their tacos or their burritos, I think it is just how the meat tastes, but I do enjoy their spicy jack chicken quesadillas and their tacos del carbon. I do also like the fact that their «large» drink is truly a large drink! You can’t go wrong by ordering their Cherry Coke, although my blood sugar levels don’t really appreciate it much LOL. I was a bit surprised to see that the location in Simi Valley is serving beer. Say what!?!

I got 3 deluxe tacos… They had no meat… Well like a teaspoon of meat and like 4 table spoons of sourcream. I went in there to get them re done and they made me pay for extra meat and there is still barely and meat on the fucking tacos!!!

I live really close by so I’m here quite a bit, and the service is always slow slow slow, especially when you go in the drive thru. The employees inside have consistently bad customer service. The employees just don’t care and it totally shows; they were singing really loudly in the kitchen, texting on their phones, having loud inappropriate conversations. The food is ok, but the drive thru will take forever, and going inside means you have to deal with bad service. Tonight, the inside was dirty and had trash on the floor. A couple got up and left the place because an employee sprayed the table down to clean it and the spray got on their food. It’s clearly a store run by very poor management. I almost wish I could have recorded how loud and inappropriate the employees were being tonight. It almost felt like I was on a hidden camera show.

I have discovered this chain’s fish tacos since my last review and this has prompted me to raise my rating to three stars. Their other tacos are still unappetizing but I actually enjoy their fish tacos. They are dirt cheap too at $ 3.50 for 2.

Usually custom orders seem to get messed up, but here they listened to everything we asked for and it was all right when we got it. They were very friendly and got the food out fast. The ranch tasted a little off, but I was okay without it. I like this location!

If you are looking for a cheap and good food on the go, you might like this place. I love del taco on the run. Best fast food for your buck :)
Staff are nice and helpful.

Yeah, its a fast food review… But it’s near where I live, it’s 24 hours, the staff is nice, and it’s cheap and good! What else do you want from a fast food place?

I have a love/​hate relationship with Del. I used to love their chili cheese fries, but they started giving me mad heartburn, so I stopped eating that. I now order the Veggie Works burrito or their Classic Chicken Burrito or the regular Cheeseburger. Also, when it’s breakfast time, I love their breakfast burritos or their quesadillas. Can’t go wrong with those.

I usually hit this Del Taco around 10pm on weekdays. There’s rarely a line at the drive-​thru (I’ve never been inside), and my food is prepared quickly (usually) by friendly people (always). That’s all you can ask for.
Fare is standard Del Taco. If you like Del Taco, you’ll like this Del Taco.

It’s Del Taco so you pretty much know what you’re getting with the food, right? I’m just here to tell you that they have free wi-​fi in their dining room. The inside is open ’til midnight on weekends (drive-​thru is 24 hours) and it’s much less crowded than McDonald’s if you’re going for a fast food wifi surf spot.
I was just there tonight (4÷13÷13) and it was clean inside at the tables and in the ladies’ room. The girl at the counter even heated my cookies under the heat lamp and brought them to my table. The cookies were only OK, but it was a nice thing of her to do in any case.

Fast Food Review — Del Taco
The staff is nice, albeit a bit slow to get orders out. The location itself is pretty small and not all that clean (trash on the tables and floor). The food is good considering the price. I’m sure there are nicer locations though.

As much as I love del taco this is the worst one EVER! the staff is just rude & takes forever all the time! & they sit & talk about weird things… just creepy! It sucks when this del taco is literally a block away but we dread going & dealing with the weird ones at the window…
sometimes I wonder about the food… I don’t know.

Del Taco will always be my favorite mexi food place. Taco bell can suck my a*s.

When ever I have a culinary disaster in the kitchen (which doesn’t happen often) I like to say fu%# it and go pickup some fine dining from this authentic Mexican restaurant near our house. I believe they specialize in Oaxacan style cuisine.
The Oaxaca region is located in the South-​eastern region of Mexico; it borders on the North with Veracruz and Puebla, Chiapas on the East, Guerrero on the West. Oaxacan cooking is incredibly labor intensive and there’s this very real ‘hands-​on’ quality in the preparation. In working so directly, so intimately with fresh, local ingredients the process is raised to a highly respected and satisfying craft.
Here’s what I ordered:
(1) Shredded Beef Combo Burrito–
Savory shredded beef, slow cooked beans, freshly graded cheddar cheese and green sauce, all rolled up in a warm tortilla de harina.
(4) Classic Tacos–
I went bold and stepped into their new classic. Double the beef, double the freshly grated cheese, and double the mouth kicking attitude of their original taco!
(4) Chicken Soft Tacos–
Marinated grilled chicken, savory secret sauce, lettuce and grated cheddar cheese, served in one of those tortilla de harina things.

Best to consume when wildly intoxicated. All that for only $ 11.64. How do they do it?

The food is average but inexpensive. The store itself is dirty and the workers including the manager are not trained in customer service. The employees can be heard telling dirty jokes and making sexual innuendos without regard for the customers. A lot of people are seen going in and out of the kitchen without wearing their uniforms. Are these off the clock workers? Friends? Relatives? It just made me uncomfortable to have so many people walking and talking around the food I was about to get. This DelTaco is definitely my last choice.

Oh wow. I was wondering why this place got lower reviews and I just read the story.
Well I went here at 3am in the Morning the other day and I decided hey I should write a review about this place. Now this is again another one of those late night situations so their walkin was closed but their Drive through is open 24hrs. Sweet.
Everyone I know loves their Fish Tacos. Wish they made Fish burritos.
They also had 39cent tacos going. Man when you are broke and hungry this place will save yeah.
Good
— Drivethrough Open 24hrs. I saw people eating at 3am on the outside eating area. Safe Neighborhood.
— Cheap Food, Fish tacos are always good and their 39cent tacos they have going for a while.
Bad
— Long Lines at night after everybody gets out from wherever their party ended. Clubs bars wherever.

For 5 years I hadn’t eaten fast food. You know, other than In-​N-​Out, cuz that shit is worth the calories, but fucking Del Taco broke me. I can’t help it, sometimes I crave cheap, greasy, ‘Mexican’ food and since I’m pretty sure Taco Bell uses rat meat and Del Taco will always hold a spot in my heart for serving Mr. Pibb, I came here. It was good my friends, damn good. I haven’t been back since my one afternoon of weakness but I’m pretty sure next time I absolutely need to add junk to the trunk I’ll probably be doing it here.
