The hotel is very dated as far as the interior design is concerned. But they hired some hack interior designer who really created a sense of unrest in every part of the place. Throwing some modern lampshades in a traditionally styled space just makes people nauseous.

Am here right now writing this review. Air conditioning broke in my house on a Saturday. Checked in here the same day and am staying two nights. Free breakfast, free internet, kitchenette(no oven), what’s not to love? The staff are nice, no problems, nice pool. We used Marriott points so the room is free. Even if we had to pay I would stay here again.

This is my VERY first time staying in a Residence Inn outside of the DC area. I used to be a Hilton person, but after staying at Residence Inns in the DC area, I was VERY let down by what we got. I’m used to bright and cheery with plenty of room when I check into a Residence Inn. When I went in the room, I was saddened to see a room ¼ the size of what I have gotten from the three other Residence Inns I have stayed in(again in DC area). The room had a old apartment feel and very cramped. I also have status and was disappointed when I was told I had to pay for a bottle of water. Just did not feel as pampered as I have previously. Positives, the front desk staff was very personable and the breakfast was good. Location is quiet and not far from the expressway.

I stayed at this Residence Inn for approximately 15 days because of the construction work at home. In the end, I almost did not want to leave. Their rooms are clean, sofa and chairs are clean and fresh. One day, the microwave quit working for some reason and I called concierge, the repair man came in in less than 3 minutes. He examined the microwave and left with the microwave, only to come back in a minute with a new one. That is speedy repair job and great service! Then, 10 minutes, Mee, the assistant manager, called my room to check if everything is OK. What a great customer service! They offer breakfast everyday and dinner(M-F). The food is actually pretty good considering they don’t charge extra for food. Will definitely try to stay with Residence Inn when I travel.

I stayed here last night on a business trip and I have no complaints. The suite was comfortable and the separate bedroom from the rest of the living space doesn’t make me feel like I’m staying at a strange hotel. The staff was friendly both at check-in/out. They were also good about providing dining suggestions and directions. People in Texas are generally very nice and you can’t really ask a quick question without getting into a conversation. It’s a pleasant change from L.A. :) The breakfast was good. You know you can’t go wrong when there’s salsa and jalapeño as toppings for your scrambled eggs! They also have a waffle maker for those who actually want to make their breakfast. And, funnily enough, I saw several Asian patrons eating noodles with chopsticks… all courtesy of the Inn. So there’s no way you can’t find something for breakfast even if you’re the most finicky person in the world. The Residence’s Inn is not your grand hotel with fine restaurant dining and/or bar but it’s great when all you want is the comfort of your home when you’re away from home.
