Went on the website, did my research and decided to drive to Dick’s sporting goods to buy a Rifle. Came to the store, went up to a Hunting section waited for 10 minutes, not one person showed up, in fact i haven’t seen anyone on the second floor. This was literally an hour ago at exactly noon. Hard for some business to make money if you can’t just show up and sell a product especially when I had my credit card in hand ready to pay. Drove all the way from Mound to Richfield, 30 Miles. Thanks guys, will go somewhere else. Ande 7632271593

The store is nice and the staff is friendly. However, the firearms department is always low on popular calibers of ammunition. The management needs to fix this problem.

The customer service in fishing/hunting is horrible. Very little acknowledgement that customers are waiting for help!

They are fine but never seem to have enough register help and run out of things quickly. The new ship to store online order option might help that but have yet to try it.

I was in need of a new pair of softball cleats when I was politely greeted by a salesman named Mitch. I was looking for a specific pair of mizunos, but they didn’t have my size. That was then Mitch went the extra mile to see if they had online, still while there were several other customers waiting. Turns out I found a great new pair of nikes that he suggested. I am satisfied customer & will be back to Dicks!

Customer service is excellent and friendly staff. I love that they always try to make the customer as happy as possible and offer deals that one cannot refuse.

I can’t believe how low this place’s Unilocal rating is. Loved it. It had everything. Best Dick’s I’ve been to. Would have 5 starred it if only there’d been more help in the shoe dept.

Unlike the Dick’s over in Roseville, this one carries yoga gear! Hurray! I cruise over to the yoga section and browse the clearance section for ALO, Hardtail, and Prana. I’ve picked up a few sports bras in here that made my visit to Dick’s worthwhile. This store is huge and I like the fact that I never feel claustrophobic in here even if it’s Black Friday. At the bottom, there’s running, yoga, and golf. Ride the escalator up, and they have gear for camping and snowboarding. I had one weird experience in here though where I was about to walk out the front door empty handed and the dude at the front of the store said, «What DIDN’T you find here young lady?» I told him I came in to look for a specific sports bra where he directed me to a customer service person that was essentially worthless.(The guy looked on their web site which was something I could have done myself.) All in all, I thought this interaction seemed weird and pushy as if they were trying too hard to make a sale. All of my other transactions at Dick’s have been OK though but I’m afraid I might run into Mr. What DIDN’T You Find in Here Young Lady again.

Lot’s of selection on basically anything to do with sports or the outdoors. It’s really spread out though so it feels like a mega-store with very few staff. The high is that you always get greeted by an some upon walking in.

This just goes towards my case why Dick’s is my favorite sporting goods store. This place is huge and this particular location has two levels. It must be a Midwest thing as one of their stores near Chicago has basically the same layout. The family and I had some time to kill before catching a flight and though we would browse through to see if there were any deals to be had. There a plenty of differences between the California and Midwest Dick’s, primarily their hunting department. While CA basically has none to speak of, this location has a section dedicated to it specifically. There are rows upon rows of guns if that is your thing. Along with the guns, their hunting gear is unsurpassed. While all Dick’s focus on outdoor activities, this place takes it to a different level. There are items for camping, kayaking and back yard fun to name a few. I didn’t realize that kayaking was so popular as the had a number of kayaks to choose from and in every color imaginable. Of course, being a baseball family, we migrated to the baseball section. Some of the items seemed more reasonably priced that what I was used to seeing. The one thing I noticed however is that their baseball shoe selection wasn’t all that grand. We were looking for steel cleats but could not find any. Not sure if we overlooked that section or not, but we couldn’t find it. Not knowing the area very well, this store can be a little confusing to find but alas we were able to and we enjoyed our shopping experience.

Another mega-store, this one focusing on sporting goods and apparel. Its a bit difficult to shop due to its size and the amount of merchandise cramming each of the two stories. Try going up the escalator in the center of the store to start out to get the lay of the land — you can come right down again and this will save you some wandering(unless you like that sort of thing). Decent prices on clothes and sporting good with all the brands you know and expect. Service in the shoe area can be a little spotty.

Dang I really wanted to like this place… with a ton of kayaks everywhere I felt like I was home walking in. But on the entire top floor there were two sales reps… yeap two… and the pricing/signage is so bad you have no idea the costs of half the items. So… after roaming the entire floor and yelling«Marco…» we finally got a «Polo»…on the opposite side of the store. They had a decent selection of PDF’s…but could be better. Definitely need a bit more selection of water sports gear. Finding the place… if you are not from around these parts — I am going to guess you would first get a tour of the Best Buy campus, because there are not good signs telling you where to turn. But if you are going to Dick’s you are probably use to using the sun/stars to guide you

The first hint that the ‘big box’ retail concept has become ridiculous is when you walk into a 60,000 sq ft sporting goods store that has a handmade sign on the front door which reads«We have live bait!»(uh, yeah.) As I pulled open the door using the canoe paddle turned door handle(wait, a canoe paddle for a door handle!!! Now I’ve seen everything) and entered Dick’s I instantly felt bad for any mom and pop sporting goods store in a 5 mile radius(probably like one store, but I still felt bad) as Dick’s has it all. I needed some socks, yeah, I know, go to Target but I had a gift card from my mother-in-law to use and I was right there. The only draw back is that in my pursuit of socks I found that Under Armour seems to have cornered the market on sports apparel and I know that the mannequins that display their clothes don’t come close to what it would look like if I suited up in one of those shirts. Anyway, if you need something sports-related, this place has it.
