Dragon City

Food is average here. The fried rice is bland and the chicken with broccoli is too oily and the cashier was not that friendly. I called for take-​out and she just said «hello?» Are you serious? She is so weird and rude and I hate that this is the only «decent place» within a mile and a half radius from me… I’ll just go to China Wok now. This place is eh.

This is our neighborhood choice for quick, good, always right takeout. The restaurant is spotless and the employees are friendly. We mostly order soup, lo mein, kung pao and general tsao — great food.

I just called this place and asked for delivery because it said they deliver on this website, the lady rudely told me they dont have delivery and then shut the phone on me, never calling this place again.

This used to be my go to spot for Chinese food when I didn’t want to drive all the way to Chen’s, but after yesterday, no more. Everything lacked flavor… EVERYTHING. The wonton soup was bland, the shrimp lo mein was dry and lacked adequate sauce, and the General Tso chicken was dry and tough. This was truly a disappointment given the past positive history I had with them. This last meal was the motivation needed to go the extra 5 miles to Chen’s

Food is amazing and always the best you can eat always prepared correctly and better then Asian panda which is down the street. Also not that salty and rice is fluffy people are nice. They always have a prepared food is fast. that is all

Best Chinese in Richmond, by far. Not a sit down place at all, but excellent lunch specials and just overall awesome food. I’ve tried dozens of other Chinese places throughout Richmond and can’t find anything that even competes with this place. Worth the trip from the city out to the West End.

I think the food here is good, the crab wontons are great! Above average compared to other chinese take out places. People are nice too!

In the past, I have eaten in here several times, however in the past year I have noticed a change in their food and how it had a lot to be desired in taste and flavor. In addition, I have always ordered my food Extra Spicy. The last couple of times when I would return, I would let the Owner know how NO extra spicy was not put in the food. Absolutely NONE! In addition, A month ago, I asked her for a recommendation on a soup, and she recommended the Chicken Vegetable Soup. I order the Qt. size. I did not inspect the bag until I pulled everything out when I got home… In the soup there was NO chicken or Vegetables. It was ALL Chicken Broth. To say the least, I was not happy.
A couple of days later, I went to Dragon City to let her know… and she insisted it had Chicken in it and Vegetables. So, I asked her if she thought I was lying. Of course she did not say anything. So, I let it go and decided to order a beef dinner with fried Vegetables extra Hot. Not thinking, I left and when I pulled everything out at home, I found NO extra spice on the food as I had requested. So, this evening… I went back in to let her know how there was NO spice on the food… Her husband cooks and he speaks NO English, so I wanted to make sure she was letting him know.
Her remarks to me were, 4 years ago you complained about not paying for the extra spicy food, so we are not going to add extra spice in your food if you are not going to pay for it. I said, I have never heard of a place not making it extra spicy and now you want $ 2. more for extra spicy… I said, however you sold me the food anyway by letting me leave here thinking it had the extra spice on it without saying anything. Plus you sold me the chicken soup which had NO chicken or Vegetables as it was ALL Chicken Broth. I said if I wanted a can of Chicken Broth, I would have gone into Martins next door. Plus you think I was lying to you about it having NO chicken or Vegetables.
I told her I have eaten in many Asian restaurants and NEVER has anyone charged for extra spice in their food. Than she asked me this question which was very unbecoming… She asked, «Why DO all YOU Americans always complain when you find something wrong»? To me this was OVER the top for a Restaurant Owner to ask or say to a Customer… Especially me who is a Veteran!
So, I told her this will be the last time I come into your place, and most of all I told her, you need to adjust your attitude if you want to run a restaurant as the Customer needs to be taken care of and if there is a problem, you need to fix it. So, tonight I am giving it a 1 Star. If I could give it a –5 Star I would. I did not like the question, about Americans always complaining. It tells me that I am NOT the only one who is questioning their food and take out service.
Finally, I went up the street to another Asian restaurant and ordered it extra Spicy at the same price, and the owner threw in extra spice cups if they had not put enough on it. NO Extra Charge… Now this is what a good take out service is all about. So, do not expect to see me there… as my money spends very well in other Restaurants, eat in or take out where they want to take care of their customers… Stay away from Dragon City !!
