We visited Eurasia in December with our Groupon and had a very enjoyable evening. We had reservations, and were seated at a good table immediately. Our server, Lindsay M, was the very model of professionalism, showing up at exactly the right times to keep things moving at the right pace. I had a good cocktail, and we both had excellent wines by the glass at reasonable prices. We started with the edamame appetizer, which was a first for me, and very enjoyable(and only $ 4). My entrée was the«off the hook Rockafella» seafood special, with catch of the day, oysters, spinach, potatoes and more. Very tasty combination. The crab cakes my wife had were also good. Overall a very enjoyable meal — good food, very pleasant atmosphere, and excellent service.

Oh, Eurasia! Right under my nose this whole time. I typically do not think of fine dining to found in a strip mall. But this is a pleasant little find right round the corner. A few months ago, I bought a Groupon to give me an excuse to give Eurasia a try. With it about to expire, I was finally able to drag DH in. We were both pleasantly surprised. We had made a reservation, as recommended by the Groupon. Good thing, too, as virtually every table in the restaurant was reserved(very popular destination on a Friday night). After a smart cocktail, I decided to have a number of apps for dinner. So I loaded up on the soup du jour, a wonderful She Crab soup, the fried oysters and the edmame to munch on in between. DH ordered the Steak Frites. It was a tad gristle-ly, so we joked that it must have been the Groupon-cut. For dessert, we indulged in the Crème Brûlée and the Almond Cheesecake. Best of all was the service. Even with a Groupon, we were treated exceptionally well. How nice to have another little strip mall gem in the neighborhood. DH and look forward to going back again.

**3.5** I’m usually pretty wary of any kind of fusion restaurant, but after attending a Unilocal Elite event here and being impressed, I decided to take my parents here one night to try out their menu. We got there early enough to take advantage of their happy hour specials, so we ordered a few glasses of wine and spring rolls. Both were good and nicely priced for happy hour. I had the chicken and udon stir fry. Tempura chicken with mixed veggies and udon noodles. It was sweet and savory and the veggies were cooked well. The chicken was pretty tasty and at the end of the meal I had wished I had some to take home as leftovers. I can’t speak for the other dishes that were ordered(they were seafood dishes) but all the plates were returned with the food completely devoured. As a group we were happy with the service and the food at Eurasia. I wouldn’t say blown away, but I’d come here without complaint and happily try more things on the menu.

We went here for small plates and a drink, so we sat at the bar. The atmosphere is classy, but comfortable. Though I will admit it was a bit of an older crowd, but it was a Thursday. The service was friendly, and the food was really good and a good value. The beer and wine-by-the-glass selections are not very large, but they are quality beers and wines. We got the mussels, which were good, but are worth some bonus points for the lighter sauce. They were not drowned in super heavy butter sauce, but a light garlic butter. We also ordered the carpaccio which was good, however I think the mixed greens dressed with a dijon vinaigerette garnish stole the show a bit. All together we got two high quality apps a beer and glass of wine under $ 40 in a place much nicer than a comparably priced place.

It was our turn to pick the restaurant, and all our friends live in The Fan. Eurasia is the best restaurant in The West End to get that similar dining experience. Another great meal. Thanks.

My meal here was very good, though I did run into a surprising amount of vinegar. It was an odd combination, but generally very pleasant as I am quite fond of the twang of vinegar. It added a bit of brightness, and some clarity to the flavors of my dish. Still, a bit less would have been better. My co-workers all had excellent meals, with the tempura shrimp appetizers and the lovely wine list being two lauded features. I think that you should give Eurasia a try, but maybe stick to the appetizers and sandwiches for your first visit. Round it out with an order of the truffled mac&cheese and I suspect you’ll go home happy. In the interest of disclosure: The VA Beach location is one of my favorite restaurants in that area, so perhaps I’m carrying a bit of bias.

We stopped in for a pleasant meal prior to a concert at the University of Richmond. Our service was good and the atmosphere in the restaurant, while a little too dark, was nice. There is a bar area in the back of the restaurant as well as the main dining room in front. Black bean bisque was good — but only if you care for lime, as the citrus flavor was strong. The panko shrimp app was good — the shrimp were plump and moist. My wife enjoyed the skirt steak special and the steak was tender and flavorful. The«bbq» smoked salmon I ordered was ok but the spice rub was way too spicy and overwhelmed the dish. Also, please clean the bloodline off the salmon prior to plating it on top of mashed potatoes. Brownie and ice cream desert was good, but the apple cobbler suffered from leaving the peel on the apple and not enough cobble on top. Try using a wide dish instead of a deep one. Overall, we enjoyed our meal and the service was good. We will definitely try Eurasia again.

My boyfriend and I were looking forward to visit this charming little restaurant. The parking was easy as the place was located in a small shopping center. The atmosphere was nice, and they accommodated us when we were running 15 minutes late. It was moderately crowded on a Friday evening. It didn’t take us too long to realize that the average age of customers were a little older than our usual crowd. We were actually using a livingsocial deal so we were given a prix fixed menu, but the selection was quite limited. The four course dinner included the 1st course(shared appetizer), 2nd course(salad or soup choice), 3rd course(main), and 4th course(shared dessert). We ended up picking tempura mozzarella as the shared appetizer, the Wedge salad for me and bean soup for him, BBQ salmon for me and chicken udon stirfry for him, and ended with crème brûlée. They actually had happy hour appetizer so we ended up ordering fried oysters to try as well. Okay, food was mediocre at best. The oysters were bland, old, and too breaded. It was one of the bland fried oysters I had ever tasted that I had to ask for lemons and limes in hopes of bringing more taste. The tempura mozzarella was better but nothing remarkable and still too bland. My bf and I were joking at one point that maybe the food was bland to suit the older people’s taste and keep their blood pressure low. We were still at the appetizer so we weren’t too discouraged yet. Then our next course came. My bf had the bean soup, which he said left some weird after taste. My salad was literally half of an iceberg lettuce covered in ranch and bacon bits. So little effort put into the salad, I almost thought they were too lazy to even cuz the lettuce. Quite disappointed, we moved onto the main. I asked for the salmon to be medium rare, and it did come out that way except for the the top that was purely burnt. However, I still think this was the best choice out of the options. My boyfriend’s udon stirfry was too sweet and saucy, and the fried chicken had more breading than the actual proteins. He said he would’ve been more satisfied with cookout burgers. The«cookie and crème» crème brûlée was interesting, but overly too sweet. The best part of the night was the service. Our waitress was very nice, and she came to check up on us frequently. She noticed that I didn’t enjoy the fried oyster from my disgusted face(though I was trying to hide this). She asked me what was wrong with the oysters and proceeded to letting me know that it will be taken care of. I saw later that the item was not on our check. It was a very nice gesture so we didn’t skimp on the tip at all. The check came out to be $ 100, but the livingsocial costed half. It still wasn’t worth it in my opinion. Overall, good service but food was lacking.

Too much vinegar! I had the BBQ salmon, which was really tasty, with really good mashed potatoes, but they put a balsamic reduction on the plate, and it was too much vinegar and a little burnt. I like balsamic reductions, but this one was not cooked long enough and slow enough to get that good taste. I was not able to eat the brussel sprouts as they were soaked in the vinegar. My date had the pad thai and the vinegar flavor on it was also overwhelming. It is the only time I have been there, so I don’t know if it was a fluke or if this is the way it usually goes, but was dissapointed.

This place was on the«must try» list for some time. Now, it is on the«favorites» list. The food is done with pride; the kind of pride where the Chef strives to take you from the ordinary to the extraordinary. The service is fine, and the restaurant is attractive, though not large, and there is seating on an outdoor patio. Though this is not an expensive place, however, expect to pay about $ 60-$ 70 for a dinner for two, including appetizers and alcohol.

Husband and I had lunch there today. What is better than being able to eat outdoors on such a glorious afternoon. I ordered the carpacio and H ordered ahi tuna sliders. Sliders were way overlooked, dry and totally without seasoning. The first presentation of my carpacio was frozen. Sent back and waited quite a long time to get another app of raw beef… go figure. The«truffled egg salad» was a mountain of overmayonaised mess, no hint of truffle nor was there any sense, whatsoever of the quality of the meat, which I question was«filet» as stated on the menu… Way too chewy. SERVICE — 6 on a scale of 1 – 5!!!

Eurasia was mostly excellent, perhaps closer to a 4.5. One thing I really like is that they also have nice sandwiches, if you’re looking to eat there without spending so much. I ordered the bouillabaisse, which was not a typical example of the dish, at least as far as I know. There was very little broth, and I found myself wishing there was more. Perhaps because there was so little broth, it was extremely salty. The seafood in it was all great. Everyone else was generally happy with their meals. It is in a relatively odd location.

OK. I’ll admit it. I’m something of a snob when it comes to restaurants in suburban shopping centers. As in, I don’t think they’ll be any good. Oh, how wrong I was about THIS place! After living literally around the corner from Eurasia for over six years, I finally went there to meet someone for drinks. I wound up staying for dinner, and having one of the best meals I’ve had in 12 years in this very-foodie town. Shared a fried oyster app, and my dinner was one of the specials: seared duck breast. Both were absolutely top notch, with special kudos going to the duck, which was cooked exactly as I wanted it: beautifully rare. I asked if they would substitute the truffled mac’n’cheese for the mashed potatoes, which they happily did. Truffled mac’n’cheese — I mean, who(other than a vegan with gluten issues) could resist? Dessert was terrific, too — a white chocolate panacotta cheesecake and an interesting take on crème brûlée. I’d give this place 5 stars … but some snobbery remains within me. Although I’m sure the RVA suburbanites who hate to go into the city for a meal *love* having this place nearby. I do, too.

Faultless. From wine selection and appetizers to main course, I was knocked out. The wait service was casual but efficient. I’ve eaten at some wonderful restaurants in NYC and Chicago, and this compares. And in a freaking shopping center. Crazy.

I love this place. The food is great, prices reasonable and staff is wonderful. The chef uses fresh ingredients and consistently delivers on creative dishes. The patio is great in the warm weather. The bar cozy and nice as well. The staff’s attention on the customer is what sets this place apart from the rest. They are also great with kids — can’t say enough good things.

My fiancé and I enjoyed an amazing meal here last night, and I’m so glad this restaurant has popped up. We’ll definitely be making it a regular date night spot. We walked in around 8:00 on a Friday night and were seated immediately. The tables are spaced just right; you can hear the loud mumble of diners, but aren’t so close that you could hear every detail of your neighbors conversation. Soft lighting creates a nice warm ambiance. The drink menu has some fun specialty cocktails; a decent beer selection, and plenty of wines by the glass. I started with a Dark n Stormy, which just had a tad too much lime juice for my taste. The bread we were given before the meal was warm, crispy on the outside, and soft on the inside. Perfect start to the meal. I started with the beef dumplings, which were so delicious! I’d just recommend to order two orders of dumplings though if you’re looking to share; because I didn’t want to give up any of my three! My fiancé started with the mussels, which were excellent, served in a yummy garlic broth. For entrees, I got the Duck Three Ways, which was just perfect. The duck was cooked just right, the meat was so tender it just fell off the bone. The savory meat was paired just right with a yummy sweet potato mash and broccolini. My fiancé got the East Coast Bouillabaisse, which was just as delicious; a bowl full of seafood; fish, shrimp, clams, mussels, blue crab, and lobster in a yummy tomato saffron broth. Unfortunately we were both too full to try out dessert this time, but they had about four or five fun options to choose from. Our waitress was very nice, professional, and prompt. Showed up right when you needed something, but didn’t hover. Just right :) Overall, we loved our experience here, and will definitely be back!

Food was excellent and well-priced. Went to lunch and ordered from the $ 15 prix fixe lunch menu… definitely a good choice so that you can try a couple of their great dishes. Service was very slow, as only one waiter was serving about six or seven tables… he could have easily used help. Still, worth another visit!

Eurasia features New American cuisine with an Asian influence. Their menu changes frequently and features freshly prepared items often in surprisingly tasty combinations. We started with potstickers which were good. The appetizer menu also features flash fried oysters which we typically order. We went for lunch and I had a very good pannini with turkey, brie, and a cranberry relish. We have been for dinner a number of times and the menu items are consistently good and interesting. The wine list, while not huge, is very good and features a nice variety of quality wine. On a down note, an employee hit my dad in the head with the kitchen door. While the manager was very apologetics I don’t think he understood the degree to which he hurt dad or the risk you that places on an 85 old. And he should have bought dad’s lunch.
