My go to Chinese food restaurant. Was in Yorba Linda one time and I was craving Chinese food and I didn’t want to settle for anything there so I waited and got some there as I made my way home. Food is great, portions are very generous and I’m always left satisfied after polishing off a tray. Brought my cousins here one day and they really liked it too, now when they come over they always bring it up and we go there and grub out. I recommend it.

Orange & Teriyaki Chicken Was OK, Rice was Garbage Literally, but worst of all the lady behind the counter went from collecting $$ to Serving food with-out even pretending to think about washing her hands(some will say«she doesn’t touch the food» NO but she does touch the plate and the utensils used to serve the food which the people from the back touch to refill the pans & once they return to the kitchen will not wash their hand because nothing contaminated should have touched said utensils…) Needless to say I WILLNOTRETURN…

I’m only giving them one star because the food is pretty good. But the service is horrible! Like another person has mentioned, they act annoyed when you ask questions or order your food. I’m usually a very calm person and I won’t express how I feel when I receive bad service, but today I did. I was asking one of the workers there if they had a certain food and she ignored about three times. I hate to say this but I had to treat her like a child with the words«hello, are you listening to me?» Then she didn’t hear me say I wanted an Arizona because she was too busy starting off at who knows what, so I grab my drink then my food and she points at the drink and says its $ 1.35 and I say I already paid for it and she argues that she didn’t charge me. They already charged me 0.50 for using my card, so because of her mistake I had to pay another 0.50 for the drink transaction. It was the worst service I have ever experienced. I did not feel like a customer at all. I don’t recommend this place to anyone.

You get what you pay for. Ownership changed a few years back and the place has lost a lot of its original flavors which is a complete shame. If you’re just looking fot a quick bite of chinese food then this place should suffice.

I saw the horrible reviews and started debating whether I should go to Mr. China Express. Wanting to find a good Chinese food place I took the chance. I got there and started ordering. They packed my to-go box fat! I mean it wouldn’t even close. I have to say I was not disappointed and glad I didn’t listen to the reviews. The chow mien, spicy orange chicken, and beef with broccoli was a good combination. The reason for the 4 stars is because of my second visit. Since I don’t like listening to reviews I decided to try the teriyaki chicken on my second visit. So I got teriyaki chicken, chow mein, and spicy orange chicken. Again I watched them pack the to-go container. Got home and the chow mein and the spicy orange chicken were just how I remembered. Once I tried the teriyaki chicken I wasn’t impressed because it lacked flavor. I mean it wasn’t horrible and it was just ok. Specialties here are definitely the spicy orange chicken, chow mein, beef with broccoli, house chicken, and I believe it’s called Kung pow chicken. Food that needs improvement would be the teriyaki chicken and possibly the fried rice. The rice is just a weird color and haven’t tried it so I don’t really know. Maybe one day I will try it and edit this post. Hope this review helps

I like it here! They are generous with the food and it is good. I love the noodles and the broccoli beef :) yum! I went today and was full with half the plate! Have left overs for later :). It’s always clean when I go. The customer service is not great, but hey!, I’m always in and out of there so it’s no biggy for me.

Service sucks here, they act annoyed when youre choosing a meal and when you ask for anything, the food doesnt look like its rotated enough, and can someone tell me when, just when did I have to start asking for fortune cookies when I get Chinese food? Unbelievable! I should have looked at their reviews here before coming.

We’ve eaten here on a number of occasions and have always found the food to be very good. Generous portions, no hint MSG syndrome or other distress. The food is very tasty. Tender moist rice. There is a red barbecue chicken, and also a teriyaki chicken, which is prepared using a regular teriyaki sauce. The mushroom-zucchini chicken is great, as is the house special pork and the spicy orange chicken. Good prices, very generous portions. Just right for an economical splurge.

Bad bad. I had the orange chicken and half the prices had no chicken. No stars for this place.

How did i forget about the Buprs!?! This place always gives me the burps(for the rest of the day) and its unpleasant. i can never eat here if i know im hanging out with anybody later or just dealing with the public. dont know what it is bout this place, doesn’t happen else where. Does MSG have that effect on people?

For those of you that have read most of my reviews, I’m hoping your remember a term I’ve used called«murder burgers.» Well, if there ever was a «chinese» food equivalent to it, then Mr. China Express serves it. It’s murder on so many senses. And this isn’t the slang interpretation of murder, this is the verbatim definition as it applies to taste, sight, and digestion. I was here a few days ago, hoping to catch a good deal on a lunch combo and hopefully find another diamond in the rough. When I first walked in, a sign was posted on the sneeze guard that read«cash-only.» I was immediately intrigued. Every single cash-only establishment that I’ve reviewed has been a 4 or 5 star rating. From Brooklyn’s Brick Oven Pizza to Peter Luger’s – cash is king when it comes to ratings. I order the Teriyaki Chicken, which looks oddly familiar to barbecued spare ribs – at least color-wise, and tofu chop suey. I opt for the steamed rice instead of the fried rice/chow mein mix. There are also free refills on all of their coke products. So far so good right? Now the bad. The chicken has been glazed with this red tinge that you would find on barbecued spare ribs, or if you’re Filipino – Purefoods Hotdogs. «How is this thing going to taste like teriyaki if it doesn’t LOOK like teriyaki,» I think to myself. It doesn’t. The chop suey was good but the rice was dry. There was also a complimentary eggroll that was included with the combo. There was a strong profile of ginger in the eggroll, which I really liked. But the teriyaki debacle was just too much to overcome. I became sick about 30 minutes after returning from lunch. It lasted for the remainder of the day. I hate you…
