Went there tonight and had the worst customer service ever! The guy who was taking our order was very nasty and disrespectful! On top of that they got our simple dessert order wrong. Very unhappy with their services.

This is the second time I’ve been to sonic & it’s the second time they have messed up our order! This time I order jumbo popcorn chicken combo meal(from picture shown on screen) with ranch for my dipping sauce & asked to make it spicy, my boyfriend order the bacon cheese burger combo. Well what we got was a little box with cold popcorn chicken that were plain no ranch on the side, no fries with my meal, I was told I had to pay for them if I wanted to add them & then the bacon somehow never made it to the bacon cheese burger & his fries were cold also!!! Overall food was horrible, carhop was nice, but manager & staff don’t seem to know what they are doing!

Visited just after they opened for business, seemed they were still ironing out a few kinks. Burgers and tater tots were everything I remembered after discovering Sonic during a trip to New Mexico. I’ll likely be a regular customer.

I ordered the New York dog and cheesy bacon dog along with the malted brownie bits master blast shake. The hot dogs were decent. I prefer their burgers. The shake is really delicious and super thick, though. Service is fast and friendly. You can pay with card or Apple Pay. I didn’t notice if other touch to pays were present. I didn’t find getting into the parking area hard. You can enter from Magnolia or Van Buren.

I ordered 5 plain cheeseburgers in the drive thru. I received 4 hamburgers with meat and bread and one hamburger with lettuce. I had to park and go into Sonic. I asked for the manager. An employee by the name of Avery was more than eager to help me but he was not the manager. I told him I would prefer to speak to the manager. After a few minutes the manager came to help me. I explained how I ordered plain cheeseburgers and she said, «Plain might mean something different somewhere else but here it means nothing on the burger.» She offered to fix order and also offered a free dessert. Her name was Angel. She did seem sincere and fixed the problem. Overall the burgers were dry, service was slow and they just missed the mark.

I’ve been to this location several times since it opened and usually have had good service, however this time was completely unacceptable. I placed an order at a stall and 20 minutes later, I had no food. I went inside to complain and 10 minutes later, still no food. Finally I went in to have my credit card refunded only to be told the order was being delivered to my car. I was told that the carhop couldn’t find us, which I can understand as a large truck parked in front of us, but nothing was done to compensate for the 30 minutes of my time that was wasted. Apparently, they thought I paid for my food and left? I guess they just threw my order in the trash. I don’t fault the employee for her mistake, but a manager should have offered something for my having to waste a half an hour sitting in a stall. Sometimes«sorry» just isn’t enough. I guess my only solution is to stop eating at Sonic altogether. I do enjoy their chili dogs, boneless Asian wings and variety of drinks, but when a place offers you nothing to make up for a major screw up like this, it shows they just don’t care about their customers.

You should stay away until they’ve gotten into a routine and know what the hell they’re doing. As of right now, the entrances on Magnolia and Van Buren are closed. You have to enter on Miller St. off of Van Buren and it’s a hot mess. You can also park on Miller and walk across the street. You would think for a Sonic with lots of stalls and three drive-through lanes, there wouldn’t be much of a wait, right? Nope! We went on Tuesday night and were able to pull up to the drive-through line. One car was ahead of us, already placing their order. It took about 10 minutes for them to order a shake and a waffle cone sundae. The cashier didn’t seem to understand what they wanted. He eventually made them pull forward so he could come outside and ask them. We ordered three beverages — two diet cherry limeades and a slush. Nothing difficult or crazy. It took about half an hour total to get them. In the meantime, carhops keep coming up with food and asking if it’s our order. Nope. Eventually, a female carhop comes and asks what we had so she can go check. She opens the door and asks about our order and adds, «This lady’s getting really mad right now.» Um, no. We weren’t mad. They had a gaggle of people working inside, but nothing seemed to be leaving the kitchen. They gave us a token for a free medium drink, but I doubt we’ll be back for a long time. Most of them seemed so confused. They should have done a soft opening or had the employees train at other Sonics first. This was just painful.

S hakes & Slushes O nion Rings & Old School Floats N ew York Dogs & Natural-Cut Fries I ce Cream Sundaes & Iced Teas/Coffees C heeseburgers, Chili Cheese Coneys, Corn Dogs SONIC is a fast-foodies paradise! Their extensive order menu is unique and specializes in typically hard-to-find items like Chicago Dogs, Chili Cheese Tots, Mozzarella Sticks, Jalapeño Poppers, Waffle Cones, and Limeades as well as more mainstream Burger and Chicken selections. They literally have it all! I enjoyed their Chili Cheese Coney, and a Hand-Mixed Chocolate Malt, both great, but it was the crispy Tots that really rocks! One could order a different menu combination every day for a year, and never eat the same meal twice! Hmmmmm, that sounds like a tastey challenge! This location is brand spankin’ new and clean as a whistle – as are the young employees that rollerskate around like speedy 50’s car hops weaving in and around the lip licking patrons. But it’s all Sonic salutations and smiles as everyone seems to have a good time and a great meal!

Grand Opening for Riverside! I was super excited for this Sonic since I heard they were building one a couple months ago. Came around lunch time and it was packed! They directed traffic around the corner to the backstreet and had two lines for drive thru and stalls. Lots of parking and space! Didn’t need to wait long to find a parking spot since someone backed out almost immediately after I got to the front, maybe about 5 mins. While we were waiting for a spot, one skater came and gave us some menus to looks at while we waited. Pressing the button to order, we had to wait about 5 mins for someone to actually take our order because there was just way too many people. I do like that they have the screen in front of you so you know exactly how much you’re supposed to pay and how much each thing will cost. Ordered our food and it turned out to be $ 38 for 4 meals. Yikes a bit expensive! Service – wow. For a grand opening, the workers knew what they were doing and were on point with their service. They were trained well. I love how when the card pay slot wasn’t working the worker politely asked to take my card and zoomed off in his skates to pay for my order. They were extremely polite, my friends(2 first timers) and I were super impressed. I also like how they have a separate person coming around with condiments and napkins to make sure everyone had everything they needed and/or wanted. Bravo Sonic, you just made me a regular customer!

As a fan of Sonic over the years and the fact it is nearby where I work, I have to agree with some of the others have said about this location. I came here on the day of the Grand Opening less than impressed. Should’ve done a soft opening before you open like that. OMGosh the crowds were packed that day, but it’s died down somewhat recently after the hype of having a Sonic in Riverside. I ordered a Jr Double and Cheesy Taters that day, and they somehow managed to botch that up. I ended up with a SuperSonic instead and having to pay the difference. Because it was insanely busy and I was on my lunch break, I couldn’t go back or call. I had to come back right after work. I explained to the carhop what happened and all he can do for me was offer a $ 4 token for a drink and ice cream. I told him to keep it because all the other fast food joints replace your order and/or give you a refund for their mistake. That day they didn’t and I contacted the number on the receipt. Received a call from the Director and he apologized by offering a free meal on the house. After that, the service has been hit or miss. Yesterday, I ordered a Grilled Cheese with a hamburger patty, but got a sausage patty instead. And this was when their computer screens were working. How they botch this up I don’t know? But when your employees are mostly of HS and college students working there, expect some mistakes even though as a customer you expect your order right the FIRST time! And these are the type that want a $ 15 min wage? Get real! They can’t get a simple order right. Working fast food isn’t suppose to be a career last I checked. If you want a $ 15 min wage, enjoy paying $ 10 for that SuperSonic. Careful what you ask for as it may come true. I am a fan still, but this location needs to get their act together and get orders right! You can continue to give customers a free meal and their money back like it happened to me. But if it happens every so often, I may go somewhere else. Remember there’s a Habit less than a mile away. You have competition and not the only show in town!
