new owners are completely gutting the place and will reopen at Blossom Road Pub in mid-Jan. it will be spectacular!

Hi there Unilocalers. This place was alright. Cheap drinks but the bartender tried to charge me for an extra drink, as well as my friend. We went for karaōke and the dj was rude. Kept acting like it was our problem that his hard drive was malfunctioning. UNCOOL, especially since the only reason we were there was because my friend wanted to sing. also they were mean to everyone about getting the heck out at the end of the night. Also a fight broke out and a girl got hit on the side of the head and was bleeding… the type of customers you see there. So basically. .cheap drinks but shitty service.

Eh– came here for a surprise birthday party. This place is definitely small and I felt like there wasn’t enough seating. I would recommend them installing a ledge along the wall where the dart boards are for drinks. There was ONE bartender on staff(Sat night) which resulted in a lengthy wait for a drink… Or water for me. She seemed pretty frazzled. A positive is that the drink prices were very reasonable! I don’t know if they were running special drink prices or if they are usually that cheap.

I recently went out to Winton Bar & Grill with some friends for the first time for happy hour. We ordered a round of martinis which were absolutely delicious, especially the Appletini. The bartender was very friendly and made the drinks just right. The bar itself is a great. It was spacious and clean, with good music playing. My friends and I were able to relax and catch up after a long day at work. And we were even able to play a game of darts. We decided to stay here for some dinner as well. I highly recommend their wings. They are the best that Rochester has to offer. The WBG’s Original are out of this world. The spinach and artichoke dip was also very tasty. If you’re looking for a spot in Rochester to have some good drinks and good eats, look no further.

Let me qualify this by saying I’ve only been here once, and it was for less than half an hour, so that’s the sample size we’re dealing with. That being said, I will never go back. The night we went, we walked into some kind of special shit show of a karaōke debacle, the likes of which I will surely never see or experience again. I don’t know what day this happens on but consider yourself warned that there is a karaōke night and it’s very very very not good. This is how it went down: there were several clearly regular patrons who were all sorts of sloppy drunk(it was well before midnight) as well as who I believe was the owner or manager, also schloppy, who all took turns alternating between monopolizing the bartenders’ time and screeching their banshee calls into a microphone. I’ll tell you, this place is tiny and doesn’t even need a microphone for this, let alone every speaker in the house cranked up to around 150dB. Now I’m old, but I’m not THAT old. It wasn’t just me who felt aurally violated, & all of my cohorts frequent death metal concerts for fun. This shit was LOUD. Walls were shaking. When these people, specifically the guy in charge and some drunk woman, weren’t «singing» they were twaddling away into the mic about who knows what. On and on and on and on they went. It’s a microphone in a crowded bar, not a fucking diary. So anyway It took us 20 mins to get our shitty, gross drinks and I’m going to say we had them for about 7 – 8 more minutes before we couldn’t take it anymore & abandoned them– almost full as they were, and completely sober as we were– to go to McGreggors in Webster instead. So much for branching out, never again… I’ll stick to power houring wine coolers at home by myself, thanks.

My friends and I recently went there to check it out as I am new to the neighborhood. We went there a little after work and as soon as we entered the bar, everyone stopped talking and stared at us. They continued to stare and not once did anyone ask about sitting down or greet us. After standing there for a few minutes, we left. A gentleman came after us and asked us if we are leaving because of the music and I told him no, and told him we didn’t get any service when we arrived. He then stared at us, we proceeded to the car and left and couldn’t believe what just happened. Had to laugh at the whole thing. Not going back there again! Head down the road to The Winfield for good service and food!

This review goes out to Migdalia who I think has tried every flavor of sauce available for the wings. LOL First off, this place will never get five stars it’s just not possible. It’s loud, crowded, the wait time for a table is crazy on the weekends but hey I ordered to go so it was all good. Had to try these wings I had been hearing so much about. I recommend the«granny sauce» sweet and sour sauce that was so beyond what I expected I loved it. The wings are served with the standard celery and carrot sticks and that(gags) blue cheese dipping sauce. I have never been a fan of blue cheese, maybe it’s the smell or maybe because I actually know what the blue part of the cheese is. I just don’t like it, but when i went to get another delicious wing it fell in the sauce… omg. what to do? what to do? So I bit into it and WOW! Not strong, not stinky, no after taste… just wow! So I finished the blue cheese before I finished the wings, not a problem they were great on their own. So as I look at my «Foodie List» I see: 1. Fried Fish Joint — Davies(but never on friday) 2. Smoothie Joint — East Ave Wegmans 3. Chinese Joint — To Be Determined 4. Wings — Winton Bar & Grill 5. Fine Dining — Tournedos 6. Ice Cream — LouGia’s Now I just need a great Italian place and I’m all set… LOL! Enjoy

I live across the street from the bar. When it opened I thought it was going to be a great spot for happy hour and some late night greasy food. Unfortunately this place has since become many things, all of which suck in my opinion. I think this place is already on it’s second owner in 1 ½ years. Bartenders all suck. Food used to be great, now its terrible. The crowd is usually a bunch of old Italians acting like they’re 20. But I have to give it 2 stars because the drinks are cheap. UPDATE8⁄14 Looks like they have closed their Hots storefront and now just keep it as their kitchen. The place is probably on its way out.

Food used to be much better. Also don’t believe the hours, I have tried stopping for lunch several times to find out they aren’t open. The bar itself is good, really cheap drinks.

If you want a bar where you have to wait 10 minutes for a drink because the bartenders are trying their best to not make eye contact but then your bill is almost nothing because they forget to charge you, then this is a bar for I was willing to give the staff some leeway when I was there due to a large private party but they seemed to want nothing to do with any customers who weren’t a part of the private party. I stood by the bar trying to order a drink while the bartenders did bust work instead of engaging their customers. I felt that my business wasn’t wanted, so after a few rounds of darts, I left. Disappointed because it seemed like a nice bar.

My friend and I arrived here by a happy accident. We were originally supposed to be going to another place to meet friends and ended up at the Winton Bar and Grill instead. The bartender was friendly and so were the customers. Within 30 minutes of sitting at the bar, a group of patrons bought a shot for me and my friend, just because!(There was no flirtation or anything involved, it was purely a nice gesture) We happily returned the favor a bit later. Prices were decent, atmosphere was great. I give it 4 stars because it is definitely not the typical place I would go, but everyone was incredibly friendly. If you’re looking for a chill place to have a drink and meet some interesting people, this is it.

I came here after work on a Friday with some colleagues and enjoyed it. There were not too many people so it wasn’t uncomfortably packs, we could still all have easy conversations. The bar has tables you can sit at as well as the bar. There are also darts you can play and you can pick the music through a jukebox. I was pretty happy that the drinks were fairly cheap. The food was also well priced. The bar tender also acted as our waitress and was very friendly. However, the food took over an hour to come out to us. We complained to the waitress that we found it to be unacceptable and our food promptly came out after that with no issues and she did not charge any of us for it since we had to wait so long. I was happy that they will so willing to right a wrong. I got he sampler platter and everything was good and how it should be. I have no complaints about my food. Also while we were there 2 men got into a scuffle and the bar tender took care of it so quickly it was over within a minute. I was happy that it didn’t linger on and no one else got involved. Overall, I was happy here and I will probably come back.

That’s right — it was A-OK. Nothing spectacular. We sat at the bar and ordered a couple beers. You won’t find a wide selection of craft beers here, but that’s not necessarily what they’re aiming for. It’s a good old local bar serving up the Bud Lights and well drinks on the regular. The food is whipped up in the neighboring Rochester Hots. I personally have enjoyed their garbage plates late night a few times. Gotta love the crinkle fries and their Mac Salad is decent. An important factor to a solid GP. On our visit to Winton B&G though, I went with a Buffalo Chicken sandwich, which weirdly didn’t come with bleu cheese, I had to ask for it. I also wasn’t in love with their sauce. I can’t even pin point what the issue was, but the flavor was off like they just poured some generic hot sauce from a bottle on top. We also ordered a burger cooked medium. It came out well done. I can’t say I was surprised. I wasn’t expecting gourmet. We asked for a new bottle of ketchup since the one brought to us was empty. After our request was left unanswered, Willy got up to grab one sitting at the end of the bar. Empty. Another down the bar — empty. Every single bottle of ketchup in the restaurant was empty. No dipping for our fries. The bartender was sweet and friendly with most of the people hanging out that night — it was clear they have a regular following. It reminded me of a bar I spent some time at in college — the usual darts, trivia night, Sam Adams bottles, ya know what I mean. Good for those regulars, not sure I’m one of them.

I like this place a lot more now that they’ve remodeled it a bit. I don’t get here much, usually only on the holidays — because they are always open on holidays! The staff has always been prompt and courteous. The beer has always been cold and reasonably priced. Parking lot can be a bit tricky if you’re not used to it. If you haven’t been here in a while, give it a shot, I think you’ll like what they’ve done with the place.

Different but in a good way… always a different crowd where everyone is welcome. Amazing regular and boneless wings. For bar food, it’s definitely better than average and worth trying.

Had a groupon, so hubby and I went over there. Typical bar food. We were informed by our waitress that the cook was brand new, as in it was his first day(!), so the kitchen was a bit slow. Both things I ordered were 86ed – fish sandwich and pulled pork. Ordered a chicken sandwich, but the waitress ended up finding some fish for a fish sandwich(the cook had no clue where it was). The fish sandwich was OK, the waitress had to go make me tartar sauce because the cook was too busy. Hubby’s burger was a double when he had ordered a single, which for some people would be a positive, but he wasn’t really interested in eating all that. The boneless cajun wings, once again made by the waitress, were quite tasty. She ended up comping us a couple of beers and we tipped her well as she had really been the one to do everything for us during our visit. Don’t think we’ll go back… there just wasn’t anything that impressive on the menu.

OK I came on a Monday night which is not a prime time for lots of stuff going on. I was not impressed. Spinach and artichoke dip was alright… I mean if you cant make that you should shut down. So all the server had to remember was 2 salads. 1 caesar and 1 grilled chicken. What came back to the table was 2 plates of lettuce with chicken on them. Yes I am serious. Literally.just some cut up lettuce and chicken with dressing. The lettuce btw was starting to rot. Mixed in my salad were pieces that were brown and shriveled on the edges. I had to get someones attention to get the veggies for the one salad and croutons for mine. She blamed the chef for the errors which in actuality it’s her fault for not catching it. The server never came to check on us or to see if we needed refills. Then after about 20 min she comes and then walks away. Had to get someones attention for the check. All in all I probably wouldn’t go back even if I had a groupon.
