I go here a lot and I love the food and service, The Breakfast is super good and is my favorite. I always get the BISCUITSANDGRAVY and side of toast. Be Ready to wait when busy but its not a long wait. the food is worth it and is cooked right in front of you

TWOTHUMBSUP!!! I hadn’t been to this spot for steady 14 years when old owners had it. Since it has been LEE’S the food is even better, interior of building is even better. The prices for food are super reasonable. I love this place and would recommend to anyone who is hungry and wants a solid meal for their money.

Excellent food and service. Small cozy place with little seating. Had ham and cheese omelet and hubby had short stack and eggs. Pancakes were cooked perfectly and omelet was cooked all the way through with just enough cheese. Bill was under $ 20 with tip. Will definitely be back.

Atmosphere and Service: 1,000 out of 1,000. Great, crappy coffee. Fantastic atmosphere. Food leaves something to be desired, but it don’t matta cuz the vibe is so far out.

The service was excellent and the food was perfect. I had a Denver omlette, hash browns with cheese and a side of white toast. The veggies in the omlette were crisp a9nd it wasn’t greasy at all. Very friendly staff.

First time here and was glad we stopped in. Good food good service nothing fancy just how we like it not for the snobby foodies. Very clean, we had the chicken fried steak for breakfast it was very good the rye toast was buttered by someone that understands the concept of buttered toast. Just a nice nieghbor hood restaurant small but cozy

Stopped for breakfast food but, unfortunately they stop serving breakfast at 11. So, fortunately I chose the Ruben sandwich with onion rings. My husband chose the Philly Cheese Steak. Both were delicious! ! The Ruben is actually served with«real» corned beef, not that«pressed» lunch meat stuff. I loved it! Will be returning soon!(As other reviewers stated, it is very small, but. …oh well)

After reading the online reviews we decided to stop here for breakfast. We walked inside and find the place to be very small. The two of us were seated in the middle of the walkway with people bumping into us. We ordered omelets, soda, and coffee. The coffee was very low quality, but the soda seemed ok. They messed up half the order and had to cook one of the omelets again. Then we found a hair in the food! They cook the food right in front of you, with the cook not wearing gloves or a hairnet. The staff was friendly though and filled up our drinks quickly. We will not be going there again because of the experience.

Horrible. If you want to be ridiculed by the staff and sit in a closet with greasy food I highly recommend this place. Worst in the area and I’m a big foodie. Waste of money and embarrassing service.

They say«good home cooking» and that is no lie. This was a great find for brunch after a late night at RIBCO. Staff couldn’t have been friendlier. We had biscuits & gravy, omelet(with American cheese, as it should be), pecan pancakes. All were solid, fresh, ample portions. Best meal we had in Rock Island.

My fiancée and I had breakfast there on a Saturday morning. It was fairly busy, only two tables were open. Although, since there are maybe 10 total tables, it wasn’t exactly full of people. It’s an extremely small restaurant, with a counter, a few booths, and a couple tables stuck in the middle of the place. The latter leads to a very cramped dining experience. There were only two tickets before ours, but it still took about half an hour before our food arrived. My fiancée had a half over of biscuits and gravy, and I had a country fried steak skillet. The biscuits and gravy featured the sausage gravy, while the country fried steak had pepper gravy. Both gravies were bland and flavorless, devoid of seasoning. The sausage gravy had an off flavor, and was the consistency of wallpaper paste. The biscuits were good, but they were slathered with the aforementioned gummy gravy. The chicken fried steak was good, but it was no better than any chain breakfast place. I definitely expected more from it. The pepper gravy was, again, completely unseasoned and bland. The toast that arrived with it was not buttered, which I found to be a bit odd. The service was just okay. No drink refills were offered until we were both done eating, despite our drinks being empty for quite awhile. They were friendly servers, though. Overall, I would not return. I had definitely hoped for more, especially with the reviews on here. I hate to say it, but for the price, one is going to get a much better meal at the Village Inn just down the road.

Visited on a Sunday and they only serve breakfast on Sunday. The menu says they are closed Sunday as well so not sure if this is a new thing. Breakfast– mediocre but acceptable. The price is good, a skillet and a short stack with hot chocolate came to $ 13 and change. The blueberry pancakes were good– had a hint of vanilla in them I think. Spanish Skillet– not impressed– pile of hash browns– over proportionally hash browns — with very little onion and green peppers and about 2 sausage links(maple flavored which was weird for a Spanish skillet) cut up. Cheese was scarce and already dried. Salsa on the side. Was looking for more umph, zest, creativity. I would say unremarkable but if looking for a bite for cheap it will do. Would not make this a destination spot as it was not a wow with the food and it took 25 – 30 minutes to get food from time if order. Slow for breakfast in my book.

Honestly, the food is probably a 3 star… just average, home cooked style food. The service was great, and the prices and portions were fair, so I will bump it up the extra star. We tried a couple items here : Meat Lovers Skillet with Eggs. Good olé home cookin feel to it. Nothing extraordinary, but it’s good! Cinnamon Roll French Toast. This was the best thing I had here… loaded with goodies inside! Yum :) Apple Cinnamon Pancakes. The apples taste like canned, but it is still tasty overall. Too much here… wasn’t able to finish it. Check it out if you are in the area: P Pics:

This was a great place to come for breakfast. Sat in the corner booth facing a TV and watched a morning show. I ordered ½ stack of pancakes and ½ order of biscuits and sausage gravy. I wasn’t so crazy about the sausage gravy, I couldn’t taste any of the sausage flavors over the pepper. Wasn’t bad, but next time I want a biscuit from there I’ll probably eat it with butter and jelly. The pancakes were melt-in-your mouth amazing. I love that it’s a small diner type joint, that I could actually hear the TVs, the good prices, and that I got in and out of there in about a half hour and never felt that it was a fast breakfast.

I only have one gripe with this place. They stop serving breakfast items at 1100. Being from a different time zone, I wanted breakfast. However, being 1105 local time, I was SOL. Being a smaller diner, I cannot believe there is any actual reason to justify limiting the menu in such a way. If I had been able to have breakfast, they would have gotten a fifth star. Tit for tat Lee! The food was great though. I had a bacon cheeseburger, she had a ruben. Both were juicy and well prepared. The corned beef was thick and fell apart as you ate it. The veggies on the burger were fresh and crisp. And, it was cheap! I’ll be back Lee. And, I’ll be having breakfast, whether you like it or not!

Went for lunch with a friend. Tiny place and thankfully there was a booth available. I was warned by my friend that he had to take half the burger home because he couldn’t finish it. Obviously that was like a challenge to me so I ordered it and my smile grew when they brought it out. Each patty was ONEPOUND and so full of flavor. You could tell the ground beef was very fresh. I finished it all just as my friend was finishing his single burger. Besides the size of it, the burger was good, not full of condiments like Five Guys but this is a Ma n’ Pa joint. They don’t do food flashy, they just do it well. It’s a small place with a small menu but they know how to do it right. My friend said as we walked out«If you leave Lee’s hungry, you made a mistake.» I would agree.
