My girlfriend and I had breakfast here on Sunday, February 21. This was our first time and we will definitely be back. The place was crowded probably because it is so good. We didn’t have to wait very long for a table. The menu is huge and the pictures in the menu show exactly how the food looks and the food is awesome. My girlfriend had the Reuben with potato sausage soup. The soup was very flavorful and stocked with chunks of potato and sausage. Her Ruben is the biggest Ruben I’ve ever seen. There were several thick slices of corn beef and she could only eat half of the sandwich. I had The Denver omelette and the eggs were the fluffiest I’ve ever had in an omelette and it was delicious. We got there at noon so both of us had a hard time deciding if we we’re going to have breakfast or lunch and we also had a hard time deciding which items to select from the vast menu The amount of food provided for the price is incredible. Our waitress was very attentive and checked back with us several times while were there to make sure everything was OK. One word — outstanding. Oops-one more word — delicious.

When we arrived with our 9 month old baby to this establishment, with no seating to wait, it would have been nice if would tell you how long the wait would be. There was only two other tables waiting so I assumed it was going to be quick. This was not the case. After ten minutes I had to ask how long it was going to be and she said 30 mins. Would of been nice to know that ahead of time.

Quality omelet during a dining experience tarnished by cold staff. Upon arrival, on a Sunday morning, there was a wait. That’s fine and predictable. But in such situations a customer generally wants a ballpark guess on wait time. When asked, we got, «I don’t know.» Then, during the meal, I was bumped by passing servers who, like a knee reacting to a doctor’s mallet, yelled out«Excuse me,» in the most uncaring, insincere, unflinching tone, without even looking back. It happens once, okay. But if you’re going to seat people on a corner, please be careful. It could be a charming restaurant. It just, well, lacks charm.

Cinnamon pancakes. That’s all I really have to say. This place is the bees knees. Whenever I come back in town from leave I always try and hit this place up. So. Good. Very reasonably priced too.

This place deserves a million stars. Best pancakes ever. Period. Breakfast is solid and cheap. Endless delicious coffee? Yes. No pictures unfortunately, I couldn’t stop myself from immediately gobbling down my food each time.

I’m not from Rock Island but my folks are and I’ve been visiting since I was a baby. My breakfast at QC Coffee and Pancake the other day might’ve been the best breakfast out I’ve had in the Quad Cities. Chicken fried steak like you always hope it will be(but it hardly ever is) — zesty gravy, crisp breading, with minced scallion and crumbled bacon on top that added a little extra deliciousness. Plus great eggs and coffee and lovely service. Even with simple, homey food, you can tell when people really care about what they’re serving. They made my whole day.

terrible service, mediocre food, this place is all hype and no substance. plan to wait outside for upwards of 20 minutes for a table, no chairs or shelter to be had. our tiny glasses of water were never refilled our server only checked on us once to say,“did you guys get your oranges juices?“ we replied«no» and didn’t see her again until we asked for our bill at the register, and then the flustered hooch tried to charge us for the juice. worst part was the dubstep music blaring from the open kitchen.

Wow. Really as good as it gets in terms of a fine QC breakfast dining. The food was impeccable and plentiful, and the coffee flowed like water. Steven got the Monte Cristo, which was served with a side of Raspberry sauce. Gooey cheese, moist French Toast and an overall great sandwich! The Benedict which lan got would score a 4⁄5. the bread which they used had a delightful crunch that almost distracted from the rest of the food piece. All together, made for an interesting breakfast, but one that made me wonder what else QC Coffee and Pancake could do. Homey ambiance with tones of Blue and Gold apparent(go Vikings!) really shows us what an A+ diner has to offer. Price was very reasonable! Especially for the serving sizes. — Monday Martyrs

I got to this place thanks to Unilocal in order to find a nice place for breakfast on my way to galesburg. I really trusted the users reviews on this one so it was a total guess besides that. Im really happy that i came here… good job my fellow reviewers!!. Breakfast was amazing and super cheap. They really give good size portions and it has a very local feeling. While sitting there i noticed most people know each other so i assumed this is a locals spot. :)

Best kept secret in The QC. ALthough judging by the crowds on Sunday, the secret may be out. My husband and I came here on out anniversary for a delicious breakfast date. My huevos con chorizo were amazing. Service is friendly and the price is right.

This place can’t be beat. Fair prices and and amazing food. Everything is home made. I’m not a big fan of pancakes but I took a chance on the cinnamon pancakes and wow! Light fluffy and delicious. Everything I’ve tried has been fantastic. I saw someone eating the home made corned beef hash and that is definitely next on my list. This is one of my favorite breakfast/lunch spots. Highly recommended!

My favorite early morning secret breakfast spot. I believe they open at(at least) 6am. I would typically roll in around 6:30. Service is always great, and even when the house is packed you can always get a table in 10 minutes. Every now and then they feature cinnamon roll pancakes, or a smoked salmon bagel sandwich– which are the BEST. Prices are extremely reasonable– order whatever you want off of that menu, and it won’t set you back. :)

I’m not sure what I’ve ever done to deserve finding this place, but I’m so very glad I did! Village Inn was packed and so I Unilocaled and figured we’d try it… EVERYSINGLETHING was wonderful. The sweet hostess, our server was amazingly friendly and helpful, the place was clean, fast service, attentive beverage refills, and the food… OHMYGAWD. We ordered the ham and cheese omelette, which came with enough hash browns to fill a wagon, the chicken fried steak and gravy(I’m gonna get back to this in a minute) with eggs(PERFECTLY over medium with no snot-jelly egg white stuff), pancakes(oh sweet baby Jesus what is in them? So light, so tasty, soooo good!), coffee(even this tasted like it dripped directly from Heaven above through fluffy clouds while cherubs sweetly strummed tiny harp thingys and sang its praises!) and orange juice. Now, back to the chicken fried steak! First, it didn’t taste like a prefabricated, all breading, no meat piece of frozen what not like in some breakfast spots. Tasted fresh. Second, good gawd they’ve crumbled bacon atop the already orgasm-inducing gravy. The gravy tasted better than my granny’s. And I’m from the south. And granny may rise and strike me about the head and shoulder area for saying so, but Good Lord bless my heart, it was! I’m not sure if I should have left. I didn’t want to, but my family made me. I’m planning a return trip tomorrow. Seriously. I may rent an apartment nearby. They also sell lottery tickets, baked goods, and bottled drinks. Lots of parking today.

WHEREHAVEYOUBEENMYWHOLELIFE? Okay, so I used to think that Andalusia Family Café had the best breakfast in the QC but I was very mistaken. This place rules. Great food. Great service. Great atmosphere. Best Chicken Fried Steak I’ve ever had! This place is my new favorite Saturday tradition.

Every time I come here, I’m blown away. This little diner has incredible food at great prices with great service. I’ve long thought this is the best breakfast in town. Fresh, thick cuts of meat, creative specials, and tasty pancakes. But now I’ve been here for lunch a couple of times, and it’s just as good, if not better. Today I had a BBQ brisket burger. Everything about it was perfect. Even the pickles tasted unique and homemade. And now that they open at 6 am on Sundays, I plan on being here every Sunday for a long time to come since my church is only a couple blocks away.

This is a great place to get breakfast at a small-town diner. The food was outstanding. The service was very friendly. As far as the environment, it was just a diner. It was only moderately clean and definitely not updated. BUT the food made up for it. I ordered the Greek Fritiattta Omelet and the waiter confirmed that it was his favorite. I got a piece of pie to go… it was AMAZING and only $ 1.50. I asked him about the enchilada and eggs I had seen in the pictures and apparently it’s just an occasional offering. That was ok. the Greek Frittatta Omelet was soooooooo good! Gyro meat with Feta. Tzatsiki sauce… how can you beat that? The coffee was basic enough, but I was happy to see flavored cream as an offering for the coffee… that makes the coffee so much better! I recommend this place for a great breakfast. No frills but such a good meal experience!

I don’t write reviews on mediocre places or service. Only when it’s horrible or amazing. This place was amazing. I’ve been all over and have never had breakfast or service as I did here. There is no room for improvement in my opinion which is why the 5 star is given. I will never have breakfast anywhere else as long as I’m in the QC. As long as this place does not make the mistakes that the other places that WERE great did, it will always be a favorite.
