Great food and great drinks! The girls that work there are awesome and friendly, the owners are amazing, and the buffalo chicken pizza is more than addicting! Only problem is that when they keep the doors open (during the day), bugs get in, mostly from the stuff across the street. Only been a problem once, we mentioned it, and they took $$ off the already low bill. Great place to party AND great place to bring the family for lunch.

I visit PLAYERS usually on Sunday afternoon for the BLUES JAM.
Today I had the Buffalo mac&cheese. It was NOT what I expected and I’m happy for that.
The dish was penne in a spicy cheese sauce with lots of bacon bits and red pepper strips. The buffalo chicken nuggets added a nice crunch to the smooth pasta. This dish is a true winner and only $ 13.

Other nights it’s a younger sports crowd – so I steer clear but overall I enjoy this establishment.

Players has a marquee outside indicating «daily specials». Previously went there to enjoy ‘Prime Rib’ about which I knew from the marquee. When trying to order the «marquee special»..
. Was told ‘none today. It’s tomorrow’. Even though I stated the marquee said differently, server wouldn’t budge. I asked for the manager who was Not prompt arriving. When she did, she repeated that I was mistaken. Prime Rib was the next night., she would ‘comp 1 meal’. When I told her no good, she returned with the statement «I BET YOU’RE NOT HAVING A GOOD DAY. RIGHT?» Before I flew off the handle, departed.

I go on Mondays for beers, pizza and wings. Great bar pizza, try the Bacon Cheeseburger pizza. They also have 50 cent wings whenever there is a Boston sports team playing and pizza is half price on Mondays too. When I went this past Monday they had music singo (bingo), so a little entertainment as well.

New ownership has really cleaned the place up. Much more welcoming atmosphere, no more dregs, and the beer and food taste much better!

Great spot. Food has definitely gotten better over the years. They’ve done a nice job doing the bar area over.
Lots of TV’s to watch the game on.
Always have something going on wether it be country night, beer pong or stand up comedy acts.

Top notch service, great atmosphere, fantastic food and just overall a quality bar and restaurant. Ownership has really improved many aspects of this bar. Every time I’ve been here the experience was better than the last. I always look forward to going into Players and I would highly recommend it for any occasion.

Players is one of my favorite places. The food is great and the atmosphere is fun and inviting. The owner and the wait staff could not be any nicer.

Best food and staff! Owners are great. Huge function room great for any occasion! Stop in to get some of the best food on the South Shore.

My friends and I have been long time Players patrons. Since Jacqui has been running this place it has improved immensely. She has made improvements in the building itself, brought in some great entertainment, and has a great staff team. The drinks are always served fast and cold and the food is great (I highly recommend the pizza). Players is our go to spot!

The food is amazing. The pizzas and sliders are great. I have gone here a few times with the family for dinner. Other times for food and drinks with friends. Each time had great food and service.

Would have gave 5 stars, but the Guinness blonde that I ordered tasted NASTY & the bartender told me they had just come in that week. The regular Guiness was ok. I did find the staff friendly and helpful right on the ball. The place over all was really nice and a good crowd. Would go back again, kinda would be nice if some of the sport bar in my area were just as nice.

Great bartenders, great staff, great owner, and the perfect place to watch the big games! Highly recommend if you are looking for a fun night out, whether you feel like just chilling at the bar, or playing pool and darts with friends! Always my go-​to spot!

I didn’t think I would like this place, townie bar, located in a weird spot, but it surprised me. The service can be spotty at times and the crowd can be eclectic but I guess that’s what adds to its charm. The food is pretty good and the drinks are strong. They have live bands which are pretty good. Check it out if you’re ever stuck in Rockland.

ThIs is the absolute worst bar on the south shore. The clientele are a bunch of «bro-​dudes» that try to one up each other while butchering the English language.
It takes about 25 minutes to get a drink and even longer if you’re just drinking draft beers. The bartenders suck, the customer service is atrocious, and the food is terrible.
I wouldn’t recommend this bar to anyone. If you were thinking about going, don’t do it. It’ll be the best life decision you’ve ever made.

Sophia was an absolute charm. We had a group of about 10 of us including a 2 year old and a 4 month old. She seemed to be the only person running the tables. It was the 30^th of December, so i’m sure all the staff was being funneled into NYE for the next night. It didn’t seem to phase her at all. She was friendly and on point and managed to wrest all the tables she had including out large one.
The food is what you expect from a Sports Bar, now living in Texas I had to get some Fish and Chips because, New England. They were in point and I wasn’t mad. The other items around the table looked to be equally good.
All in all I enjoy visiting Players once a year when i’m up in town.

Great experience. Shayla, our waitress, was great. We invaded this afternoon with most of a Mite youth Hockey team, a ton of siblings and a bunch of thirsty parents. Service was quick and spot on and the food was good and delivered quickly. Great TVs, excellent beer selection, pool tables, dart boards and Keno. Everything you need. Reasonable prices too. Try the fried pickles!

In the 5+ years of driving by Player’s, we finally stopped in after deciding to meet friends there. I’ll be the first to admit, like other Unilocalers, that this place definitely has the strip club look to it from the street. Parking is a real pain in the ass, especially when there’s a lot going on at the hockey rink next door. However, once you are in, you’ll notice it’s a totally harmless crowd. On some nights, there are a lot of kids because of hockey next door. There is definitely an interesting dichotomy here … the majority of the patrons are either 21 or 51. Cougars are definitely on the prowl here.
We came for dinner and the food was okay for bar food. The buffalo chicken rangoons were sparse (6 in an order?!) and the nachos were straight from a bag and lacking on the ooey gooey sloppy cheese. However, the sandwiches are huge. The pizzas looked delicious and according to one of our friends who ordered one, it was just as good as it looked. I had a chicken caesar salad. However, the kitchen was out of romaine. Okay, spring mix it is and it was okay. But, I did ask for the dressing on the side and it was served mixed in. Why didn’t I send it back…
The service was really lacking. I understand it was busy, but drinks were empty, plates weren’t cleared and we thought we’d have to put an APB out for our waitress. There was no real seating pattern and lots of tables remained dirty.
Not sure I would return. Maybe my expectations were just so low I was impressed? Definitely a townie place.

We’re here to see the Patriots game so normally a bar should expect a lot of business today.
It took 15 for the server to walk up to us (she only had 2 other tables and ignored us) to hand us menus.
Another 15 minutes to hand us our drinks and currently we’ve been waiting 20 minutes for our second round.
This will be our LAST time coming here.
