It was difficult to find a hair stylist in Maryland moving from NY/​NJ. Unfortunately, before going to Barbara (who’s shop is right in front of my house!) I foolishly used a girl from Craigslist to put an overpriced weave in and she didn’t even do a good job! She left a huge space in the front that ripped my hair out. Barbara actually transformed my hair and brought it back without a weave! Now my hair is longer and healthier than it’s ever been and I can’t imagine going to someone else. I recommend her to everyone bc she actually cares about your hair.

Parisian trained Barbara Bediam, owner and operator of Hair Coiffure, is a hidden gem in Rockville MD. I came to Barbara about 7 years ago with clumps of hair missing from in front and through out my head. I was almost in tears because I had been blessed with thick hair that was now showing signs of the abuse of relaxers, permanent coloring, and stylists that cared nothing about my real head of hair. if you know what I mean. Barbara started a project of steaming my hair with quality hair masks and largely imported products, minimized relaxers to occasional wearing a wig to give my hair a chance to bounce back. My hair is now 20 inches long and full and healthy. Barbara LOVES hair. She also carries exquisite jewelry, gorgeous bags, hats, scarfs and hair accessories. I LOVE going to get my steam which doubles as a facial, and do some shopping at the same time.
