While Mr. Hudani did great cosmetic work for me, his general dentistry skills and the way he treats his patients is not up to par. Almost every visit, he and his assistant would be discussing their personal lives to the point where they would sometimes get into arguments, discuss their partners habits, dating, and get into other personal issues that were inappropriate and unprofessional. Dr. Hudani would sometimes get upset during these conversations, and it would sometimes(unfortunately) affect how gentle the dental cleaning would go. Finally, while Dr. Hudani always claimed everything was fine with my dental health, the next dentist I went to was much more comprehensive– they measure the pocket depth of my gums at each tooth every cleaning and compare to the previous, and they found I had gingivitis that required deep cleaning and they recommended a sonicare and more flossing, all of which has cleared up the gingivitis and I have objective data to back this up from the pocket depth changes we see each cleaning. Not only that, but I had asked him about potentially getting some additional cosmetic dentistry work, which he did not not recommend. When I(mistakenly) sent a friend of mine to him for a cleaning and my friend mentioned I was the one who referred him, Dr. Hudani went on to tell my friend all about the cosmetic dentistry work I’d asked him about, and then essentially ridiculed the fact I’d asked about it. None of these things are signs of a professional. Go elsewhere. *******UPDATE: 7/31/10********* If you look at the date of my initial review, and then look at the dates and examine the writing style, use of English, grammar, and punctuation in the next 2 reviews written by «dawn o.» and«juanita m.» for both his Huntington Beach and Rolling Hills locations, you may observe the following: 1. Both«dawn o.» and«juanita m.» signed up for Unilocal IMMEDIATELY after my review(for the Rolling Hills location) was written 2. «dawn o.» and«juanita m.» have a similar writing style, use of English, grammar, and punctuation 3. Both«dawn o.» and«juanita m.» wrote their glowingly positive reviews just ONE day after I wrote my initial review, AND they BOTH wrote them for BOTH of Dr. Hudan’s locations(Huntington Beach and Rolling Hills). 4. As of 8÷1÷10, the ONLY reviews written by «dawn o.» and«juanita m.» are for Dr. Hudani. 5. Contrary to the description in the other reviews, Dr. Hudani and his assistants discussing their personal lives was not something that was«family» conversation, and it was never something they attempted to involve me in. It was something that took place during cleanings as if they pretended I wasn’t there, and it was something I’ve never seen at a dentist’s office before or since. What does all of this mean? I’ll let you draw your own conclusions… I’ll just say this: the proper and professional response to reviews a business doesn’t like /doesn’t agree with would be to respond to it with a comment, acknowledge the problem and vow to improve service in the future. A professional response would not be to quickly get suspiciously glowing reviews written for or by you the very next day.
