8 China Buffet

I hear through the grapevine that 8 China is now closed. I would normally be booing this, but service (and food) had slowly but surely degraded over the past two years since my initial review.
And it’s not like there aren’t 10 other Chinese buffets within reasonable driving distance.

Well well well, what have we got here? Another chinese buffet I see. and yes, just another chinese buffet. When I think of chinese buffets especially in Michigan my mouth doesn’t start watering. And this one was no exception. It sadly was not the worst Chinese buffet i have ever tried but definitely not even close to the best. (I have been to ones out of stat that totally rocked.)
The price here is average $ 7.35 for the buffet and $ 1.10 if you want a drink. So as far as price goes i would say it is a fair price. There are a lot of dishes to choose from as well as (poorly made) sushi and a small mongolian BBQ style section. All the food here is well kinda cheap and a bit over cooked. there are some dishes that are pretty tasty but not too many. It was actually a bit disappointing in the end.
Bottom line, if all you want is a ton of food cause your super hungry and you really don’t care too much about the taste I would say give this place a shot. Otherwise I would suggest going to your favorite chinese restaurant and leaving satisfied. Like I’ve said its better than the worst but not much. I say skip this place you won’t be missing much.
